- My First Enduro Race - Pedalhounds - Land of Nod.
This year I decided to try my hand at Enduro Racing, This was just a taster for me to see how I get on, whether my ability was good enough to compete and if it's something I'll enjoy.
If your interested in getting in to an Enduro Race and are unsure what to expect then I recommend you watch this video to get a heads up before you go.
A word of warning though, the GoPro effect on this video is huge and the stages look flat in this video! Trust me when I say they are NOT flat and took me by surprise just how steep they were, still manageable but definitely worse than the video clips showed me!
I didn't do anywhere near as good as I would've liked in this race but it doesn't matter, this race was about sighting the trails, getting a feel for the format and the competition, next year I now know what to expect and where I need work.
I intend on coming back fitter and stronger for a full race season next year and hopefully then I'll be able to move up that table.

Hello Lee, It's your number 1 fan here. Happy New Year. I hope you are well. I haven't seen any videos from you in ages, why? Partly because of you I am now riding a circuit around Hadleigh without stopping, thank you. Also was talking about you to Ray (the trainer) and Simon (from the bike shop).

Well done, Hadleigh is hard so completing circuits is a big achievement in my opinion.
Sorry for the lack of videos, I done some filming at Phoenix a while back now and I had a lot of corrupt files so I didn’t have enough footage left to post a video, since then I had an accident at Danbury and I currently have my knee in a splint and can’t really ride at the minute but I did take Kirsty out to learn stairs a couple of weeks ago and that video is pretty much done now so should be up this weekend.
I hope to get out more soon but I may be off my bike for a while, still waiting for a hospital referral to check the medial collateral ligament as I think I’ve torn it 😞

@@leemtb I feel guilty for pestering you now. I hope you get better soon. I do ride with action cameras on my bike so I will have to take up the mantle until you're back. Won't be as good as yours though ;-). I was Hadleigh today and will be back tomorrow. I see like me, you're part of the Hadleigh Park Riders. Crazy bunch of people but suits me fine. Look after yourself until you get back.

Hi mate, good video even in the slop.....! I'm looking at doing a few races this year! I've got a giant stance e bike, just wondering how they were taken as I know a lot of people don't like them for some reason 🤔 where was the race held? Also what sort of cost is it?
Definitely get involved there is a separate category for e-bikes so they are accepted by all. This race in particular is held at the land of nod near the hind head golf course but pedalhounds have lots of different stages they hold events at, this race cost me about £45ish I can’t remember exactly but I think they also do a package where you can pay to enter all races and save a bit of money. Have a look on sientries website because the races are listed on there
