One of the most most impressive things I have seen in sports was Peterson’s 2000+ yard MVP season the year after blowing out his knee.
Christian Ponder...master of the 4-yd checkdown.
I'm pretty sure he didn't master that.
I am pretty sure only thing he mastered was how to throw a interceptions
More like master of pick sixes and blindside strip sacks
Brady is the master of check downs
I see nun of y’all got the joke
You think this is just a cut up of all ADs runs that day, but it's actually every offensive snap.
Carried this team on his back
No, there were at least 2 bubble screens to Harvin that Ponder threw at his feet.
@@nathaniellarson8 lol. Ponder was so ass
No way... Are you serious!?!?
Hahaha.. this is great.
Damn this video reminds me that even today’s running backs are nothing like a young ap. The gap is wide!!!
@Smoove Diggity Yeah... no
Smoove Diggity Not even close
ZEKE!!! eats what you mean
Smoove Diggity No zeke
Any of you even watch football? 😂 AP was amazing, LT played at the same time, just a couple years before AP. And today's running backs are amazing too. Alvin Kamara runs so smoothy. Leveon Bell runs with patience and can make something out of nothing. Todd Gurley and Zeke?? Bell cows that are amazing. You guys don't know anything about football.
One of the goats, no argument
I can't argue that
This man was an animal. I hope him the very best this season. He did so much for vike nation. #skol
SKOLLLLL!!!!
fukn right bro
wow, what a fucking great game, was this the 2012 season? had to be with Ponder back there and I think I saw Berrian and Wade in there too, no?
Ivan Daniel yup thats ponder back there... #darkdays lol. Ap was literally our only offensive weapon. Percy would do work here n there but ap was a workhorse.
I liked Percy, a LOT. I honestly think he ran as hand and as angry as Peterson. I also think he was quicker to the line of scrimmage when he would take handoffs from the RB position (not an end and around)
If it wasn't for Peterson, this game isn't even close.
SEAGUILAS if it wasn’t for the legion of boom, the Game wouldn’t have been close
If wishes were fishes we'd be up to our asses in basses
Speak dem facts
U don't say
But it was for Peterson lol
LOL! Earl Thomas got up talking smack after AP had run for 15 yards and put Thomas on his back!
Yeah but that was a pretty tough and ballsy tackle by Earl Thomas, I'm not gonna lie... And I doubt not one person on this comment section would even attempt that!
if I was making a couple mill...sure
Damien X yeah pretty tough. However, you don’t get up talking smack after you give up
15 yards AND you basically got ran over. Your team didn’t win that down.
@@TrestanSKYWALKR... Yea, I completely agree with you... And Earl got much more "trucked" than successfully using the "hit stick!" Basically he was in a bull's path & happened to trip the bull! HaHa...
(Honestly though, when Peterson was on the Vikings & was running, he honestly reminded me of a bull charging somebody! Yea, maybe the horns on the helmet played a small role. (lol) But even now with my Redskins, he still looks like & reminds me of a friggin bull charging!)
MOVE BITCH! GET OUT THE WAY!
@@kylepett1 ... Eeeehhh yea, sure. BUT assuming you're the size of an average CZcamsr, (IDK, you can visualize what that might look like) BUT after you did what Earl Thomas did, you're not getting backup... and if you do happen to survive, you're most likely paralyzed for the rest of your life!
(I mean look at that hit/contact! That is honestly a great comparison when they say every tackle is a car crash!)
LAST QUESTION...
I know you said you would do that for a couple million... but what would be the minimum you would do just that 1 play for? $50,000? $20,000?? $10,000???
I consider the Ponder years a very dark time in Vikings history. Much sadness. The only thing that kept me awake during the game was Peterson.
He was pretty much the only thing keeping us from becoming the browns..
pretty much dude. I bet people that aren't vikings fans didn't know anyone on the vikings besides peterson
I don't think he got us to the playoffs. It was Peterson. And a decent D.
Cams Vikings it was adrian peterson carrying the whole team on his shoulders actually. we're talking 2012. yes thats literally what it felt like
Daniel Cone Defense had Jared Allen and young Harry the Hitman, everyone else was old, meh, unproven, or Chris Cook/Josh Robinson
Played RB my whole life, when we come out with no gloves that means no bs today. 🐐
OD Wilson omg that is so facts lmfaoo 😂 I ran so much better without gloves
OMG bro same. I played QB and didn't wear socks. Threw way better.
No wonder hes a great. I dont remember seeing him with gloves.
I ran so much better without pants on.
@@sludge4125that’s only because this world is to discriminant to have to courage to tackle a pants-less man lol. I’m happy for your success and salute your bravery sir
This man Prime AP dominated one of the greatest defensive teams of all time. 193 total yards and 180+ rush yards against the legion of boom. He was just nasty.
This was before they became the official legion of boom
I bet no one else did that against the Legion of Boom
Top 5 RB all time don't @me
Nah he not
only backs that could compete are backs with mvps
@@patricknbrooks11 Jim Brown Payton Sanders Emmit Sayers LT all was better
@@patricknbrooks11 curtis martin as well
Zetumbo 8 Jim brown is the only back that fought as hard as AP for extra yards there is no other back i have seen with multiple lineman on them that just carried them to the end zone or an extra 4 yards. One of the best yards after contact backs
The most impressive thing in this video is Brandon Browner actually catching AP from behind.
That was a filthy underrated hustle play. FILTHY. Had to go back and watch 2 or 3 more times
Look like he pulled up to me celebrating early? Pulled hammy? Who knows but AD always runs hard something looked off
He caught him at a angle bro..and you have to consider that AP was just coming back from ACL surgery so he was still kind of rusty
Only person able to stop him was browner
He was slowing up
At 55 sec mark you can clearly see where Percy Harvin’s awareness is a 34 rating and run block awareness rating is a 2🤦🏾♂️
bruh I said the same thing. Zero awareness
He was too high
It was bad. He basically took the TD away from Adrian. Oh well.
That was a hell of a rundown by Brandon Browner on AP's long run.
If the WR makes that block he scores
4th quarter and Ponder has 50 something yards through the air! Think about that.
The Vikings organization screwed up big time. They had the best running back in the league but failed to give this man a decent QB.
besides Favre and the championship game, AP really was doomed playing for us. He basically carried the Vikings every season with mediocre QBs.
Yes his best days are long gone but AD all the way.
AP had fumblitis really badly in his prime, and it cost the vikings in their prime. they also had 2 of the 4 best O linemen in the entire league. their entire O line from 06 til 2014 were stud run blocking maulers, plus the tight ends they used were basically just huge blocking guys. AP was great too, but i mean he also had a lot of flaws in his career and cost the vikings many big games.
Space Age Productions You can look at fumbles all you want but the biggest game he was in they got screwed by the refs. And the year he went off their starting QB got injured before the playoffs. He was so unlucky in his career. He had pretty much the most workload. Name someone who sees 8 stacked in the box on every single play he's in? Then tell me how many times they fumble the ball.
the biggest game they were in was the NFCCG in 2010 against the saints where AP fumbled twice on key game changing possessions. Btw they were the benefactors of many calls that game, and had the refs in their favor, but as a team fumbled five times and favre threw that late terrible interception.
@@IPIRIEY could care less he carried the team
Space Age Productions refs were not in vikes favor especially not in overtime
Brandon Browner was lightning on that tackle.
He got suspended that next week for using steroids no lie i remember it cuz i watched that whole season begged my parents to get the NFL sunday ticket lol
Brandon Browner will always be a true member of the LOB. Absolute animal
Yea AP broke that huge run and his blockers couldn't even look behind them and see Browner flying up. They failed AP in a big way lol could have easily slowed Browner or blocked him?
I didn't know Browner had speed like that
Maurice Rockingham Dude is like 6'4 he was around his prime in this video I guess.. On the field like a fuckin ostrich
He was playing with pure adrenaline in that game. Love to see rb's run like this!
I love AP and miss him...I pray and hope nothing but the best for him this year. Hopefully he crushes the NFC east. #SKOL!
Same with Cousins and the North. #HAIL
Cowboys fan lol. I like ap though. Texas boy. I hope he does well.. Adds to his legend.
SkolToTheBowl
@@whatinthefahhhhh5532 lmao the Vikings aren't going anywhere hahahahahah
@Chris Calvert cool post man. Im looking forward to watching Cousins throw big numbers for the Vikes. He is a great QB, and wishing for him all the best for the Vikings this year too. Redskins fan.
Greatest running back of this generation EASILY put him with Aaron Rodgers or another talented quarterback who can carry a team and AP would have 2 chips
Fumbled too much though. Could have had a ring with Favre.
@@banksta3 farve was a bum who threw the game away with int
@@antjames9958 AP fumbled THREE times that game. All turnovers. And they lost by 3 points.
@@antjames9958 Then he fumbled the game away vs Seattle in that frozen negative temperature game. Sure Blair Walsh missed an easy FG, but they could have killed the clock and won.
Swine-Flew, not of that changes the fact that that he is objectively the best RB of the last 10-15 years, dude. Name a single RB who’s been better.
#28 in purple..most explosive runner I’ve ever witnessed...I drafted him #1 overall after his knee surgery and wow did it pay off. I won solely because he was putting up 20-30 point games every week. Unbelievable athlete. Sad how he was treated.
That year was insane, I took megatron first overall who broke rices record that year so not to bad of 1st overall pick. I was shocked when AD was still available in the third though and had to take a flyer. The rest of my team was irrelevant when I had Calvin and Adrian putting up 30 a week lol
He had a damn good O line too, they set him up a lot, but he absolutely wrecked anyone that they missed
I remember when they said he wouldn't do well in the NFL because he runs too upright. Generational talent.
Our generation's Eric Dickerson.
i almost forgot what he was like with all these new guys in the league. still havent seen another like AP
He was the last of a dying breed. He had a lot of injuries but played for a long time. Bruises usually dont last long. Like Marion Barber was pretty solid for 3 years and great for 1. He made the pro bowl as a backup with 12 rushing tds lol. Those are the guys that will have terrible hips when theyre old and probably 99% of powerbacks have CTE.
You won’t see another ap bro he was different
AP My Fav Player of a time he is literally the GOAT #SKOL and he’s on Pace to have another 1,200 - 1400 yards this season at 33 Years old!!! Wow. #GOAT
E. Thomas pretty cocky for a guy who's defense got absolutely steam rolled by Peterson all day (faceplam)
Lol
We won and they didn't do a damn thing thru the air AP was a beast though
Yo that spin that put Thomas on his knees was sick.
He only had a few runs over 10 yds a lot of his carries was less the 3 ypg
@@koimatai4600 lol you forget it was against Christan Ponder. It wasnt like it was a top 15 qb behind center. Shit... as a Vikings fan... Peterson's MVP season ACTUALLY credited Ponder for 4 wins when he threw for LESS THAN 100 TOTAL YARDS on a total of like 14 attempts.
@@iceman763 I feel what your saying but you can run for a thousand yards in one game but to lose makes it irrelevant facts
At OU, he used to look for guys to truck!
Adrian Peterson and Earl Thomas just two good ol Texas boys going at it
I mean I can never get enough of watching AP 28 this man was a tank and wanted to run thru people did u see the hit between him and earl Thomas wow that was a collision
Best Rb of all time this guy had everything in a prototypical Back.
Size
Agility
Speed
Strength
Balance
And idc what anyone says this guy could’ve been an all down back he was so underrated in the passing game becuase he was so good on the ground idk where the notion of Peterson can’t catch cake from
Stone hands bro. There is no arguing it
Choked in the big game when we needed him.
@@doughazzard2532u blame the black man but not Brett farve 🤔
I remember living in Tulsa Oklahoma and watching Peterson tear it up in college. He was a machine that let his playing do his talking.
AD and Beast Mode were imo the top Running backs of that era. Both had their own legendary style and I'm happy that Lynch and Peterson are Seahawk legends!
Why would Peterson be a Seahawks legend?
It's so weird to see Earl Thomas with that hair. But man Adrian Peterson was ridiculous in this game. A lot of those runs he didn't even have good blocking but he just made something out of nothing.
Greatest running back to tear the field up
I was always thankful I got to grow up being a die hard Vikings fan and seeing a lot of greats play like moss, carter, cullpepper, Allen, etc...but no one wow-ed me as much as Adrian. He was really something incredible to behold.
God damn AP man handled them. One of the best RBs of all time
180 yards rushing? Are you kidding me?
yeah. and remember when he was fast af as a rookie
WHAT IN THE FAHHHhh he old as shit and he still fast af lol
@@whatinthefahhhhh5532 4.3-4.4 speed
Yeah and with no QB, they stacked the box every damn play.
@@GoHard4Home Yep and 10.3 speed in 100 meters. Elite top end speed at 205 in high school.
Honestly could have been the best back of all time, especially if he learned to hold onto the ball sooner
He wasn’t an above average fumbler. Lots of backs have 10 fumbles in a year
Adrian Peterson vs Earl Thomas !!! Two great players from the state of Texas!!
Everyone talking bad on Earl but Earl held his ground in this game and yeah he'll talk he's put heart in what he does.
I remember when AP was the best rb in the league
All these Ponder highlights are amazing.
For him to be playing at a high level to this day is a testament to how talented and hard working AD is even after all those injuries. Game has changed so much since then, you don't see running backs like this anymore. AD is the GOAT!
the Offensive line and blocking did a hell of a job for AD back in these days.. but he is also just a straight beast with it.... If we'd had a freaking passing attack we woulda been alot more feared
Damn Earl Thomas 5:32 mark😬
Not the same style as Barry, but definitely the same situation. Phenomenal player on a consistently mediocre team
Radford University literally same as Moss and Megatron smh
Barry sanders had the #1 offense in the nfl the #10 defense and made the playoffs 6 out of his 10 years there lol
@@m43854 I'll take shit that never happened for 500. Never had the number one offense and in the year they had a top 5 offense, it wasn't cause if Rodney Peete. Made the playoffs 4 times with 10 or fewer wins where Barry carried them there. His best team made it to the NFC Championship. AD and Barry careers are almost identical
Except 09 vikings
loved watch AP all the way outta college 🔥🔥🔥 jus knew even after Espn would speak on his dads situation during his beautiful college career AP would be legendary 💪🏾🏈🏈🎉
You can say alot of things about AP. But you can never question this mans heart!
One of the best running backs of all time
I'd personally say hes the best when u look at athleticism not the consistency. he had 30 less rushes than eric dickerson in 2012
What other RB has the combination of strength, speed and agility A. P. does??? NO ONE.
Marshawn Lynch
Walter Payton
Saquon
Bo Jackson
Ezekiel
We’ve been blessed with the sight to see this beautiful poetry in motion...🙏🏾
Watching him run is a thing of beauty.
Earl Thomas gets his ankles broken and trucked and acts like he's the shit 😂
Evan Goddu he is a HOF safety on one of the greatest defense let alone secondary’s of all time if he can continue to be good he’s a top 5 safety
Evan Goddu what you expect him to do shake his hand lol you gotta have pride to play football
He does better than other safeties

@Jar of Smegma Why do you feel the need to post that? You're part of the reason why there is tension.
@Jar of Smegma Why are you watching a black players highlights? Shouldn't you be watching Danny Woodhead?
With the legion of boom, Seahawks should have won 3 or 4 Super bowls, or more
Never was a legion of boom more like legion of poof
Never trusted the coach again after that SB play..
Nah 2. Should have ran the ball. NFC is too tough
Should have could have but they didn't and people need to stop using the excuse about them not trusting Pete Carroll after throwing the ball instead of running it because had that ball been caught for a TD you would be praising him calling him a genius it could have gone either way who knows if lynch ran the ball whos to say he wouldn't have fumbled it or get tackled for loss of yards, its football and its any given Sunday meaning anything can happen also great teams move on and learn from failure rather than dwelling on the past
You're fucking stupid
This reminds me of that OJ Simpson performance where he went off on Thanksgiving against the Lions. He didn't have a QB but was still unstoppable. And he did it against a historically incredible Defense.
I think since AP has been in the league so long people forget how good he was. As a packer fan I dreaded the games the pack had to face him.
Earl Thomas trying to act hard at 5:32 (He took him on, props) but at 5:08 1 on 1 w/a full head of steam he wanted NO part of AP!
That’s the cte talking at 5:32
Chronic Traumatic Encephalopathy cannot be diagnosed on the living, you dumbass!
Little Earl got his little feelings hurt when Adrian flattened him after embarrassing him on a spin move. You lose kid.

He is the best I ever seen all time I'm glad I got to see him play for my favorite team I'ma forever a AP fan
It’s funny bcuz all the Vikings did was run the ball with Ap and they still couldn’t stop him
HOF GOAT skill
AP is extremely good but the lob was more of a passing defense
@@ericflores4407 between this and the 2013 season against the 49ers, the trick was to attack them on the ground. Earl and Bobby had to be oversized(they're not the tallest guys in the league)and Richard had to be overpowered(lanky and skinny). Taking out Chancellor was a matter of moving away from him on the field and taking him out of run plays if possible. That was all easier said than done
2:39 AP is too damn big lol
I love watching the stats from around the league. It reminds me of past fantasy football teams.
I'm a seahawks fan but I'm glad i got to see AP play in person last year (with the cardinals) vs seahawks. what a beast!
Love watching AD highlights. But seeing that #7 under center makes me cringe!! What a waste of a first round pick. Ponder was just brutal!!
Legion of boom wasnt formed yet! Bobby rookie season and Sherman and kam and Thomas is still playing out of their defense scheme.
sam hawkz stfu all the piece were there
it started around then. Seahawks d was at its prime from 2013 to maybe early 16
@@packisbetter90 it started after the Tom Brady loss in Seattle. Adrian Peterson was shut out once it started. What made legion of boom so good, was that their defense played very discipline and with alot of trust. Speed was a factor as well. They can rush the qb and play aggressively without worrying about corners getting beat. After the super bowl loss to Patriots. Seattle loss a lot trust in management and fingers were pointed at each other. I blame Wilson also for not changing the play coaching decisions. Then Wilson was in his 3rd year so I can see why he didnt go against coaching on stupid pass play.
browner really went flying to the vikings sideline trying to tackle ap while ap didn’t even move
This the only reason why I loved playing running back.

Earl Thomas gone try anybody he don’t gaf
He was scared before AP put that spin move on him. He def hesitates, which you cant fault him for so he came back looking to make some contact
5:27 never seen anyone come downhill on AP like this... Respect to ET

Edwin Santiago Earl never backed down even on him. Which is why Peterson couldn’t ever win against the Seahawks after the LOB formed while he was on the Vikings
irhungry66 doesn’t matter if they never backed down because he still toasted them

How is Seattle’s D going to talk shit when AP put 182 yards and 2 tugs on the best Defense in the league. AP out here clowning y’all 😂👌
White Pass Warriors is that all you got...
Because they won the game and AP was pretty much their only player on offense. Ponder only passed for 63 yards, lol
Man amongst boys!
As Stephen A Smith would say he’s a “BAD MAN” so blessed that I’m alive to watch him work
Funny how Earl Thomas was talking shit on AP and the play before AP broke him with that spin move...
He did all this with an average o-line too. 0:43 was poor run blocking. A normal human runner would've had no chance. Top 3 is AP/AD, Jim Brown and Sanders.
LedZep's X you forgot Emmitt
I remember this game, AP was getting loose! The things AP was able to do with the ball were just nuts. Definitely a great.
I’m glad I found this video to see how great a.p was
5:35 #29 nice try bud
What boi that's a great open tackle on a future HOF running back in the open field we've seen ap run over ppl on that
what do you mean, "nice try bud?" Peterson had a FULL head of steam, coming down hill and Thomas (#29) stoned him, he didn't make another yard after that monster hit... he didn't even fall fwd.to be honest, it was a really good run, GREAT tackle and I'm not sure how either of them got up so quickly right afterwards and kept playing. great, hard, clean collision though!! I LOVE IT!PS. this is coming from the biggest Vikings and BIGGEST Peterson fan, but Thomas won that collision.
see my comment
Ivan Daniel he's talking about #29 trying to start shit with All Day after the play. AD was clearly above that juvenile behavior.

Prime adrian Peterson the best running back ever u disagree u dont know shit lls
He isn't 😂😂
