Pretty sure not every answer in every interview is scripted, and that Nick's hyperbolic about his "very very very successful" career was not on the prompter for this one... I don't see Joe is exaggerating, it feels as if he doesn't even notice he looks annoyed after a while. Yes, they probably struggled through their differences to get back together, doesn't mean that Nick has not gotten cocky while you see Joe being humble about DNCE, doesn't talk about it if he isn't asked.

I understand you were not a fan (?) and never were too much interested about their personalities. But Joe has always been the joker one and when he is making a light hearted joke or being sarcastic for comedic purposes you can definitely tell, still can. But there is a difference in what I'm pointing out. Yeap, you're absolutely right. The loudest and the longest. I even counted the seconds of the applause durations each. Joe's were in 8 seconds, Nick's were in about 7-8 seconds and Kevin's were 9-10 seconds. It's amazing and I'm happy for him. Haha!
