Not really. I’m only an amateur musician and knew Lior had it right after Nick said his song. It’s just something you think to do. It’s like breathing. Think of whatever it is that you do all the time that might be impressive to someone who doesn’t do it. Same thing
I'm not even a real musician, but that's what I thought when I saw the numbers. I mean, I play the guitar, but I highly doubt there's a connection. I think most people figured out that that was where it was going. Nick happened to be near a piano with numbers on them.

Musicians would easily pick up on what the numbers meant, which is why he did that. It also seems to suggest he wasn't in on it, which seems impossible. This was a fairly clever trick. The MAMA page could have been forced when James was flipping thru the pages in the opposite way Lior was showing the random words. Shorter pages in one direction shows one set of pages, flipping the other way would have been only MAMA pages (and nearly impossible for James to select anything but). Rocket Man may have been suggested by the tones he played while studying the face. 7 might have been influenced by his foot. It seems virtually impossible to force or suggest the 414689 or Bohemian Rhapsody without those people being in on it. The 3 suggestion was very obvious from the start. His "La la la" was even a suggestion of 3 (and the selected audience members heard that part).
One last thing: when did Lior tell the selected audience members now on stage to think of a random number between 1 and 10? Oops.
Ha ha, he said audience minus six. Those six were in on it. Maybe he talked about the movie backstage that influenced Nick.

"Mentalists" also *_always_* do a lot of research on their "targets" prior to any performance, so any of that information may have been used, too. This guy definitely has showmanship. I imagine it would very difficult for common people to make a performance like this look this good *_even if_* everyone was in on it. I understand they edit the show and may have had multiple takes for certain parts (who knows), but still, Lior's performance skills are exceptional. Very entertaining.

We had Lior as the entertainment for a big event at my job in 2008. He walked around the crowd doing different close-up tricks and mental things like in this video. He was amazing. I seriously started to think he was magic!

Doesn't a mentalist always work with living things? If it's oral test, he could watch their body language etc so he could cheat on his exam. If it's written exam, i don't think so. You can't cheat on something you have no clue about. Did you notice that he watch the 'audience' body language. Mentalist is a super observant person. No magic. He just observes you, engages you, and manipulates you. It's a bad thing most of the time because you are on a mercy of his manipulation. But it's hella entertaining. He actually explained how the manipulation works.
