  • This one pushed me to the limit! You know when there's something that must be done but you dread it because you know how painful it's going to be? Well this is one of them. But when we come out of this we'll have new opportunities and 4 more wheels!
    ***Disclaimer - I went ahead and recorder a number of episodes back-to-back so it might seem like suggestions made in episode 1 via the comments are ignored in subsequent episodes despite my agreeing with them in the comments - Have no fear, I appreciate all of the feedback, conversation and shared knowledge and eventually it all catches up.

    answer on the "upgrade factories" mod - each time you upgrade, it's a multiplier on the base factory. if each recipe was at 120 speed, it'll be 240 speed the first time, 360 speed the second upgrade and so on. it also updates the input and output quantities - if the sawmill took in 100k base, it'll take in 200k after the first upgrade, 300k after the second, and so on.

      That’s interesting that the fill quantities increase….I wonder if the storage capacities increase too….I find that some of the productions hold very little of the final product but maybe upgrading would help that.

    I think I might have a suggestion on the Autoload dillema for your trailer 4:00 - you also have Universal Autoload installed (you can see the icon in the lower left when you are selecting "autoload: No") - which means that while the trailer won't "autoload bales".... you still have UniversalAutoload installed, which will only apply to the trailer when you have the (bale) "autoload: no" setting. Since you have UAL enabled, it automatically has a configuration for that trailer called "enable Side loading" which will trigger UAL as soon as you put a pallet in from the side, making the pallet jump into being perfectly placed.
    best thing to do is on this game save, don't enable that mod. problem solved!

    Out of space with room generally is a bug i call it outer space only way to fix is replace it or just get rid of it

    I've experienced the same issue you're having with the greenhouses - which is actually related to a bug in a different mod. I'd bet that the Tree Greenhouse is bugged due to the Upgrade Factories mod - which for some reason mixes up fill types on productions if you add new productions after upgrading something. Since you've added those two factories... it may have messed up (unrecoverable) that greenhouse. Only thing you can do is destroy and re-place down the building.

      I had to say goodbye to that greenhouse. Those 1L pallets were a turnoff despite the other issues.

    Courseplay is the best >:) You should also save up 125k and purchase an Agro swather to mow and row your grass fields in one pass .Good plow is the Lizard 6mor 9m ... you can use it backwards if your tractor's HP is low and it performs great

      Is the Agro swather part of that mowing DLC? I will look it up for sure. At some point I’m sure I will be using foreplay. I just need to take the time to understand it. Usually, I enjoy the pain and suffering of excessive fieldwork, but I might be getting too old for that stuff, lol.

      @@EaglebeakGaming oh, my God that’s hilarious. I use voice to text most of the time, especially if I’m driving, and I should spend more time proofreading, I guess, lol. That one word makes the entire thing super funny. I’m definitely not changing that, lol.

    There is another category to look in when looking for flatbed trailers, soo many folks never look in it, low-loaders there is a 15k unit that can be pulled by any three point hitch, has straps, works with trees & pallets well. Good luck.

      @@northernfarmsim Agree, then there are times I download items and search for days before finding what category they were put in. I have this swath pickup device made by Lizard it picks up almost anything and shoots it like a Forage Harvester. It was put in the belt system category

    You could utilize distribution process for some of the productions when you get to a point of moving items between multiple production's. I plan to, and already have in upcoming videos. 🤠

      @@northernfarmsim most productions have the option to, sell, distribute, or store. I'm talking about the distribute option. So, example, if you have a greenhouse but then want to take the product of the greenhouse to turn it or use it in another production to make something else you can utilize this option and it will automatically move the product to your other production when it's ready

      @@ZorchFarming ha ha. I just pulled 10,000L of grape juice to sell…the pallets are 400L each! There was a bunch of stacking to get them in the trailer but I made $70k so it was worth it.

    that nursery has low storage capacity, for Agave tree it's only 70l. if they did the calculations wrong and a single Agave pallet is over 70l, it won't be able to fit it to storage and spawn. and it's just a theory, not sure what exactly is going on there, just the rest of the numbers seem fine. it's a strike 2 for this greenhouse, so I think it's not gonna last long on your family farm anyway :)

    This challenge has pushed us all to find the best equipment and mods for all sorts of low power devices that most of us tended to avoid. I think it has become a fun lesson in many ways. I can see we will all need to do it again with the bigger equipment some day. I'm sure there is a bunch of cool and buggy high power equipment I have not tested yet! lol.

      Yeah good call. Try it with higher HP. Also maybe a “one time challenge” where you only get one piece of land to build out….

      guess we could also go backwards on a flat map with a 100hp MAX, lots of garden type tractors I ignore.

      @@Ken_Stauder I think I might save the low horsepower equipment for the starting from scratch, zero dollar play-thru’s
      *No-man’s land (or maybe Newlands?)
      *$250K start and no land/equipment
      *Normal economy
      *1 day month
      *Seasons off
      *Fixed visual month OK
      *No loans/leasing
      *No super strength
      *All other quality of life mods are ok
      *You can buy/sell all equipment except tractors…once you buy a tractor you have to keep it?
      *no HP limits

    I am not a course play user or precession farming! In FS19 I used the mod "Follow Me" to get my gear back n forth to field work, and sometimes in the field (bailing). The mod took almost 2 years to come out for FS22 so I got use to not using it, but lately I have been using it to get the equipment back n forth to the fields, not in them. Have you ever used "Follow Me"?
    Best thing about this game is everyone can play it the way they want, no right or wrong, its have at it and have fun playing and learning. Be well.

      I use follow me at some point in this episode I think….and will use in future episodes for sure. I think I’ll try course play soon also…not sure when but it seems like the right series for it.

      I like it when things move along a little quicker also. Unfortunately, in the first episodes, there’s not very much to do so. I tend to stretch things out a bit… Just wait until you get deep into the double digits, unless maybe you’re there already, things start to really heat up.

    Just started the video, your trailer autoloads due to the universal autoload mod, if you deactivate that mod it will work as you intended!

      I’ll have to check…you’re right, it’s probably activated….I can’t help but think though that once the productions are in full swing I may end up using auto load.

      Do you mean for the “out of space” warning on that greenhouse? Someone commented in another episode that it might be a conflict from the “upgraded production” mod….? But yes…a bit snug, lol. There’s actually mention of this coming in a future episode….episode 13 I think….

      Someone told me that it’s an issue with “upgraded productions”…..I found out a bit late (deleted the greenhouse later on).

    If you're worried about realism, your pallet loading skills are.... unrealistic. Get the auto loader. Every one else is using them.
