And, is the proxy war more about Pakistan vs. India or America vs. Russia? In this episode, we are joined by Aizaz Ahmad Chaudhry, the former Ambassador of Pakistan to the United States, to delve into the intricate dynamics of America's relationship with Pakistan and India. The conversation also examines how America's War in Iraq reshaped the global order.

UAE, Malaysia, Indonesia , Turkish, Saudi Arabia are also Islamic but are on a far better place then Pakistan...... Islam is not the elephant in the room..... The type of Islam that Pakistan uses which is focused towards India and Hindus is the real problem of Pakistan..... More then thinking about their own benefits they are looking towards India and it's territory of Kashmir. They can't deal with Balochistan and Taliban in their own country but they want to Interfere in Indian Kashmir is the reason Pakistan is isolated by the 5th largest economy India even though we are sitting next to each other.... poor policies of Pakistan has ruined their country.....

You are right, during the1000 years of Muslim rule in Sub-continent, the KINGS, had a system of Might is Right, Master & Slave society, where ONE tribe fought the other to become the King. Over the period, Ghulaman dynasty was over thrown by Khilji, & Khilji by Tughlaq etc until Moghals. The last Moghal Emperer of India,(Bahadur Shah), was deposed, by British East India Company. After the King was deposed to Rangoon, the Sub-Continent became British Colony, & remained so for 200 years, until the end of WWII, when British decided to pull back from Colonies in Asia & Africa, & in 1947, the Sub-Continent (British India) was split into Pakistan & Bharat, & remained British Dominion for 10 Years (until 1957), when Bharat & Pakistan became republic. Bharat adopted the British democratic system, with Institutions & a constitution in 1950, Pakistani incompetent politicians did NOTHING, and Country was run by the British appointed, Governor General, & British Ambassador. After the end of WWII, the NEW world order with Bipolar Word was established in agreement among Churchill, Rosewelt & Stalin and world was divided into Capitalist block & Socialist block, when Bharat joined USSR block & Pakistan USA. India with well established Parliamentory democracy, progressed to establish RULE OF LAW, HUMAN DIGNITY & RIGHTS, where as Pakistan, depended on USA for help & guidence, and adopted the Master & Slave Relationship, with elite Mafia society & LAW OF JUNGLE. At the moment the struggle is between the Political Criminal Mafias, to hold on to the MIGHT is right, LAW OF JUNGLE system, and the well informed youth, demanding the RULE OF LAW, & PEOPLE'S ELECTED PARLIAMENT. Remember, it was the FEAR of democracy & Rule Of Law, among the Criminal Mafia elite, for the overthrow of the ELECTED govt. that was working for the Country & POOR PEOPLE of Pakistan, with Health card of Rs10,00000/ per family, Ehsas programme & Langer Khana to feed poor, Single Syllabus education, for every child, Kamyab Jawan for Training & support for youth, Dams, Rawi City, Namal International University, Al Qadir International Islamic University, Rahmatullil Alamine Authority, rail & Road, prevention of diseases, improving health, education & environment for kids etc. Country is back to Law Of Jungle, Police state, with an unmandated Parliament & a terrorist, Mafia regime.

No one who's ever mattered in pak policy thinks like that - they only want their various benefactors to think they think like that - in actuality pak has had the most consistent case of state within a state and that real state has ever had one relational definition - host and parasite - pak appears like a client state because outsiders only see the shell of the state hiding the real state.
So - its everyone else's framework that's terribly outdated while viewing pak.

One thing Pakistan doesn't understand. That military needs decentralisation. It is not possible in India, France, England, US that elected civilian governments can be toppled by army. No Army chief has unique power. For that matter, Airforce, Military and Navy has different chiefs and they report to defence ministry and council which again has civilian and military people. So military coup is not possible in these larger democracies. Pakistan id precisely missing it. India took 3 years to draft a constitution and another 12 yeras to re organised military. Pakistan lost Mr. Jinnah in first year itself and then all his ideas of forming separate nation was kept in zoo. So even today Army is major power in Pakistan. It doesn't care what people of Pakistan want.

'South Korea took economic blue print from Pakistan and implemented to be successful.'
'Malaysia came to Pakistan to understand how Pakistan is growing economically and learned from us to implement it in their country.'
'Nawaz Shariff presented same economic liberalization in 1990 that India presented in 1991.'
Enough of these lies and drama. Pakistan does not have the capability to grow, both economically and intellectually but still wants to take credit of achievements that other countries have achieved. Pakistan will never grow with this kind of a mindset. They will just remain cry babies.

Mr Aizaz is a very experienced diplomat. Unfortunately, his mindset is stuck in old ideas.
Did India have political stability from 1947 to 1990? Yes.
Then why Pakistan's average economic growth rate was 6% and more while India was hovering around 2-3% from 1947-1990?
Why our per capita income was almost double than of India for more than 40 years?
My dear, change of global order impacted Pakistan for the worse where whenever US removed it's support from Pakistan, our internal shortcomings come to fore. This is what has happened in recent past also.
The only solution is to build your own institutions. How will it happen? It cannot happen by blaming each other.
Let's hope that we have a leadership which can think through this.
The Indians are basking because the Americans are at their back like they were at our back (almost) until 1990. It is just a matter of time. Then we shall see where Indians stand on their own.
But this is not our issue. We need to develop an alternate strategic (economic) paradigm. We need to build an economic block comprising Pakistan-West Asia-Central Asia, for which there is a Regional consensus.
This is presently not in larger US interest but perhaps in Chinese interest. We need to see our own interest.
Mr Aizaz Chaudhry does not want to leave the US. I agree but we need to threaten US to leave it.
My dear, a smaller country does not and cannot maintain balance. We can do hedging in favour of China.
We need to go for diversity of economic markets. I believe Geo-economics is the way forward.
Mr Aizaz should avoid theoretical paradigm and come to practical terms.

Please focus on the ISSUE, & how country could get back to Rule of Law & Democracy. SC should full fill its responsibility to UPHOLD THE LAW, and impliment the election results of form 45 for People's elected Parliament.

It's a lie that USA is a democracy, it's not ! The higher up the office, the farther away from democracy it is. The office of the US president being the highest office in the USA is also the farthest away from democracy. The slave owner founders of the US had no clue about democracy. For 100 years, only white male property owners were allowed to vote. The idea of every vote carrying equal weight is still not there because those living in the less populated states of the US have more say than those living in populated states. In fact, the founders of the US created mechanisms to guarantee that a popular vote of the majority will not bring any meaningful change without the approval of the minority of elites.

@@Arvindchauhan-qv6gd No, China is not a democracy, nor it claims to be one, which I think is a much better approach than making false claims like the US.
