"When Aragorn was abroad, from afar Arwen watched over him in thought" --Lord of the Rings
After signing with Sony we were putting together our first official release. Just before the deadline, we looked at the song list and all agreed the album needed to include a new original piece. But we had 48 hours. As we prayed for help Jon recalled a tune he had almost included in a solo album, but for reasons he couldn't remember he had not finished it. This was the last song I showed my Mum before she died.
She was a classical musician and it was hard to find a piece of music which she loved. But this one, oh I can tell, she loved it the moment as it whispered through her ears.
So I wanted to thank you, Piano Guys!
You all gave my Mum a song that made her smile.
A song that gave her and me hope until the end. And that makes me thinking of her in good and heartwarming memories every time I hear this wonderful piece of music.

my mom has been gone a long time, but I finally realized listening to the Piano Guys why I love cello so much and no one plays as well as they do...…….the cello reminds me of my mom's wonderful voice, so warm and so wonderful, she was such a wonderful alto...…..oh my,I'm usually in tears most the hours I listen.

I think of this song as a flame: it starts soft, gets bigger, then dies down to a small and peaceful. It is truly wonderful
This sounds like an amazing part of a story. The song to me showed Aragorn injured, and Arwen watching from a long way away as people worked tirelessly to make sure Aragorn did not fade. I can almost picture the tear rolling down her cheek. Eventually, Aragorn wakes (About 0:50) and it's like a breath of relief as his health improves. He ends up stood in front of a window looking towards her (1:42) And finally at 2:18 their eyes meet. Then there's a gap and 2:50 they're together, in the same room and Arwen's relief in the song is palpable as they embrace.

your brothers and betrothed are military? well then one of the only other things you can do is pray. the founding fathers made this country based on a biblical worldview. the bible is true. the word of God is clear. we must repent of our sins: lying, stealing, adultery, hatred, coveting, etc, and trust the gift of Jesus the Christ, God the son who became human and died for us on the cross John 3:16. God is good he will save you if you turn, repent, and trust. i cannot give you certainty that they will make it back. but if the Lord God, the ONLY God who is triune, wills it. then you have certainty that they will make it back alive. but we are not to know the plans that God has made for us until they have come upon us.
Samuel Irwin Was talking about Arwen. She sewed Aragorn's standard and sent it south with her two older brothers who led a company of Men to help fight Sauron in Gondor.

I hear what you say and sortakinda understand it. However, for me, any music with sufficient passion and power can touch my heart. For me, that is classical / modern classical / soundtrack music and some metal.
That's because Classical is the only one that can. It's the oldest form of music, so there must be a reason it's still around. :D
***** Hate to disagree about music, but Classical music is not the oldest form of music. Classical was Beethoven's time. What about Bach, Vivaldi, Handel.... all part of the Baroque period :D. We can all agree that #Thepianoguys rule though

You know, ThePianoGuys have really helped me through a hard time. My life is in a bad pit right now and listening to their songs truly helped me out. I know no one on here cares, and i'm not fishing for compliments, but i just wanted them to know that I appreciate their music greatly. This upcoming saturday i will be playing alongside Mark Wood from the TSO on my own cello. The piano guys really inspired me to continue playing it.

This is fantastic! It seems that CZcams has become a very elite game of Rock Band where real instruments are being used to play other people's songs. Not that this is bad, it's just a thing. I'm excited to see and hear this break from the mold with original pieces.

I live like 10 or 20 minutes away from that place. That's the thanksgiving point gardens. I go there all the time and it's pretty. Almost every time I go there then I find the spots where the piano guys played. It feels cool to stand on the same spot as the piano guys once stood. I wish I was there when the piano guys were filming.

Just love this song, while beautiful and enchanting, there’s an air of loneliness and mourning. Like the woman it was written about is waiting for him to come back but knows he won’t be returning. While time goes on, the façade which she puts up to hide the hurt of his loss doesn’t mean it hasn’t faded from her mind. His loss will always be on her mind and in her heart.
This music is so powerful!!! It is amazing how it stirs up emotions quite opposite in their nature - strength and weakness, sadness and happiness....and all of it within seconds of each other. No other music has ever touched me this deeply...

The first time I heard this I decided that this was the song that I wanted to be played as I walked down the aisle. I especially identified with the theme of the song, as we were separated for two years by a military assignment. When he came home, we had our wedding, and this song played as I walked down the aisle to him. I couldn't have asked for a more beautiful song. My wedding party walked out while the song was playing, and then they opened the door for me at 2:17. It still brings me to tears to hear this song. Thank you @ThePianoGuys for making such beautiful music!

I do acrobatic gymnastics and when I was a top this was my grade 4 routine music and my grade 5 balance routine music. Every time we’d compete this routine the whole audience would go silent and everyone would stop what they were doing to watch since it’s such an alluring piece. This was my last routine I had (aside from my grade 5 dynamic routine but I still competed balance) and the music always brings back so many happy memories. It can truly stop an audience.

This song is inspiring me to get back to playing piano! I have my grandmother's acoustic piano to restore. It would be cheaper to just get a new one, but she is the one who inspired my love of music, so I want *her* piano. I am also getting her violin restored & will then learn how to play it. I'm planning to purchase a new digital piano sometime in June, so I won't have to wait until the acoustic piano is done and also so I can play when everyone else is asleep! Thank you for helping to bring me back to one of the greatest loves of my life!
