- Here's a quick video on how to save an image from your Cricut Design Space to your PC. If you've been looking for a way to cut & paste your images or save a design onto your PC to use in another program or be able to upload into a new Design Space project, then this training will help. Keeping a copy of your images is not only a great way to manage projects, but it's also peace of mind in case Design Space goes down you have a backup and can finish designing your project in another program.

I have been wracking my brain for 2 days unable to slice a multi layer mouse pad design watching video after video. And then here you are. Thank you so much. I was able to do it your way without having to cut/slice the image on cricut and have the possibility of a seam. This is amazing You have no Idea how much this has helped thanks for sharing your knowledge.
So glad it helped :-)
Thank you SO MUCH! I'm making a logo with my husband's gamer tag and it came out amazing in design space! I needed to save as a png so the person could use their engraver to make it! This is a LIFESAVER! I thought all my hard work was wasted!

Well, I figured out how to do this a while ago, but I have to say, the tip you gave about how to remove the grid in DS by clicking on that little square in the corner is awesome! Wow, such a timesaver to go from grid to white and back to grid quickly and easily! Never new about that and am so glad you told us!
Great! Glad you found a useful tip.

THANKS SO MUCH!!! I WAS WATCHING OODLES OF VIDEOS AND HERE YOU COME WITH THIS EASIER THAN LIFE SOMETIMES (LOL) METHOD!!! I did want you to know that I received a message that the snipping tool will no longer be available. Will the new and improve snipping tool "Snip and Sketch" work the same as the snipping tool just with more features???? Thanks!!! Enjoy your day!!!
Genius 🎉
Duh to me! Thank you for reminding me of my snipping tool!
When I saved my design to my laptop it still has the grid in the background how do I avoid that? I don’t use power point I use photo pad BUT other then that thank you!!!
Thank you 🥰
You’re welcome 😊
Hola tengo una pregunta si yo scann una foto o lo q sea como la puedo usar en design space y cortar en Vinyl
My design space has a grid in the background, how did you get rid of yours?
Hi! Love your tutorial! Easy to follow and what I needed. I need help please. I saved the image as a png but when I try it out and insert it back into word it isn't transparent anymore. Do you know how I would fix that? Thanks for any help!
the problem i have is i need the graphic itself to have a dpi thats higher than what it is when you snip it. I'm trying to upload my designs for a gang sheet but they quality isn't enough with it being just snipped. any pointers?
I usually copy the image into Canva, save as a Print PDF and then use pdf2jpg.net/ to convert to 300 dpi jpg. Some people also use Photoshop but I don't have that program. Hope that helps.
Hey there, when I click on the snippet tool and I go through all the little process it only wants me to draw some thing it’s not allowing me to double click. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong
I do this bit if I add a photo for my chip bags it comes out some what blurry 😫
Make sure you start with a high res image for best quality. If you search on Google, make sure it's a png format and transparent background.
HOW DO YOU KEEP IMAGE CLEAR WHEN I SNIP I GET A CLOUDY VERSION OF THE IMAGE
how do you save it to your toolbar
so snip will give your background a white background. is there a way to get a "clear" or "transparent" background?
Yes, check out my new video where I show how to do that czcams.com/video/00I1UeZ9Ixc/video.html. Also, you can paste the image into powerpoint and click on format, color and at the bottom you will see - Set Transparent Color. Click on that and then click on the white part of the image and it will make it transparent. Then make sure and save as PNG. Hope that helps.
O diossssss me salvasteeeee la vidaaaaaa appreciate THANKS
Haha, me alegro que haya ayudado.
Can you use the snipping tool on a MacBook?
I don’t have a Mac but found this. To copy a portion of the screen to the clipboard, press Command-Control-Shift-4. A cross-hair cursor will appear and you can click and drag to select the area you wish to capture. When you release the mouse button, you can paste the screen shot to another application. Hope that helps.
@@ACraftyLatina thank you so much this helps!
How do you remove the grid behind the image 🤔?
There are 2 ways. One is by going to the top left on Design Space, click on the 3 lines and go to settings. Select Canvas and then No Grid. Also, if you're in your Canvas click on the blank square on the top left between the 2 O's and you should be able to toggle the grid on and off. Hope that helps.
Thanks for the video. how do you change your design space background to white like that? When i go to snip, it snips the image but with the grids? TIA
So if you're on your PC you will see the ruler at the top and side of your Canvas. Where the two 0s meet on the top left there is a space between. It just looks like a blank space but if you click on that empty space you should be able to toggle your grid lines. The other way is if you click on the 3 _____ to the left of the word Canvas, go down to settings and it should bring up the Canvas Grid option where you can select from Full Grid, Partial Grid or No Grid. Hope that helps. :)
@@ACraftyLatina Gracias. Hope you and your loved ones have a Happy New Year's.
Thank you! Wishing you and your family a very Happy & Healthy New Year.
How is the background of cricut white or blank mine has the lines so when I try to save it the lines in the background are still there

@@ACraftyLatina Thank you sooooo much!
I added a white box behind my image.
@@ACraftyLatina You win again! Following you now!
Probably dumb , but I have a new fancy sublimination printer , no clue how to use it yet ! Would this work to be able to print sublimination images other than the cricut print and cut ?
Sorry for the late response but YES, if you print out your image with the sublimation printer on the correct paper you can use any image from Cricut design space.
Do you have the app for the snipping tool
Yes, I have it on my PC
can you do this with explore air 2?
Yes, absolutely.
