Thank you so much for doing this tutorial, I have been using the print screen, which was not ideal. Your explanation, and ease of being able to do this, is life changing!
Thanks for this video!! I would suggest in order to find your files more quickly, Once you have found and opened the Canvas folder ( the spot where you are looking for your creation) go to the top menu and change your view setting to the "detail" view, you can then have them listed by date. You can visibly see the date and time created. Also, instead of always clicking through to find your cricut folder, Once you find the folder " Canvas" which holds your creations, Right click on the Canvas folder icon, it will bring up a drop down menu, select the "send to" and another list of options will be displayed. From those options, click "Desktop Create a shortcut" . Once you have the shortcut added ( it will be called Canvas) you can rename the folder so it is easier to spot on your desktop !
Thank you for taking time out of your day to make mine better :)
On a Mac hold command, shift, 4 it will bring a cross up and highlight the area when you let go of the mouse it will take a screen shot of the selected area command shift 3 will do the whole screen
But after that, How do you save it as a PNG or JPEG?
Omg thank you!!! I was capturing the whole screen and cropping.
@@betzyluna3728 I think it automatically is saved as a png since it is a photo after screenshotting it.
Thank you 🙏🏼
Thankyou x
This is by far the best hack ever!! Thank you so much!!
I totally agree because we are taking so much time and effort creating it. Its time consuming and now even more how to figure other ways to save to my computer
Thanks so much for this. I'll try saving offline. To rename, all you do is right click on the folder, a list of options will pop up, select Rename.
Let me to say you are the MVP of the year. I had to remake my logo because everything I did when I work with cricut so I use their system to make it and cannot figure this out. Some reason mine was way further down than yours but I kept clicking on the dates and time it was made and I found it. It had a weird name to it which made it even worse lol. Thank you so much!
I watched last night and have found a way to find the images on the desktop easier. I use a Windows PC.
I followed all your instructions to get to images. Then I went into view and clicked on sort by date created. Then I previewed each one, saved to desktop if I wanted to keep it and renamed. If I don't want it then it's deleted. I plan to go through this stage each time I quit design space doing extra each time. I should get to the point where there are no extra images hidden on my PC, just what I want. 😊😊😊
Thank you. This is exactly what I was looking for. I subscribed ☺👏👏
Thank you so much. I didn't even know my pc had that snipping tool xx
Glad I could help!
Thank you !
This was very helpful. For sublimation. Thank you for sharing 🥰
Thanks for the video and helping me find all the stuff on miy pc. You can make life easier.
When you are on a filemap and rightclick, choose 'show more options", then at the top 'customize' it will let you choose an image as preview. Then when you view large icons you can see part of the image as preview which let you find your images much faster
This video was so helpful !! I was pulling my hair trying to figure out how why it wasn't saving to my pc! This video was so helpful thank you!!
Wow thank you for your help, I have been battling to do this and now it is so easy!!
Excellent step by step video. I've been ripping my hair out of my head trying to save my project to my computer. Your instructions made it a snap. Thank you for showing me how to do this.
Glad it helped!
After you get to the Images folder, click on it to open it. At the top where it shows all the folders you opened up to get there, you will see Images....left click and drag away from the word, and it will give you a short cut folder to drag to your desktop. It'll be named Images Shortcut. Thank you for your help!
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! I about lost my damn mind trying to figure this out. Great tutorial! I hope Cricut makes it easier one day. I created my own logo and wanted to save my creation to use for other things. Super helpful!
You are so welcome......I am glad you found it very helpful.
Question I found a template as well to use for a logo on cricuit. I wanted to make some masks using sublimination can i use this the file in Canva how do you make it a Png file🤦
Great tuto, and Really I lauhted so much 😂😂😂
This was a lifesaver! Thank you for sharing!
thank you for the info. What I did once I found the folder for cricut I right clicked and gave me options . I pinned the folder for quick access.
I have a PC too. With the second method. If you have a hard time finding the last image you saved click on "Date Modified" and that'll rearrange the folders to the last saved. I also have my folders view set to Details instead of icons. That helps a lot.
Thanks for sharing! This one works too for those who can't find their files :-)
you rock! Thanks for helping us out.
For those who may have been as confused as I was at 2:35 . The snipping tool is not inside of cricut-- its on your actual computer to search for. I had no idea lol I had to youtube it
thankyou that was very helpful and easy for me to do .
When you look it up in your local file. change the settings to see it in a list. Then at the top of one of the columns you may be able to change how the files are saved by choosing the dates at the top of one of the rows.
Thank you. The only thing I can think of is the moment you find the design move it to an easier file folder to find along with renaming the file. But your right it's not user friendly.
So helpful ! thank you
ohhh this is exactly what I needed!!! Thank you so much!
You're so welcome!
To get that easier, you can create a short cut of the folder canvas on your desktop, that way when you have to browse you don't have to go through all those steps.
Thank you!! You're awesome
Great video thank you
Very welcome
Thanks so very much. I've been needing this.
You are so welcome!
Thank you so very much for this video!!! I sincerely appreciate it!!
💐❣💐❣💐❣💐
Thank you so much for sharing!!!
great so if i do the first way the snipping tool where dose it go on the computer? thank
Thank you I did everything like you said and it worked
Good to hear
Thanks that was the easiest way I have ever done that I was going crazy trying to figure it out your awesome
Glad I could help
Hi, Tku for video... it is a pain 2 go look thru all the files the way design space saves them... when u save yr project in ds if u put a date on it it would cut down on a lot of time finding it as u just go2 the date saved & u'd have less 2 look through...
if i save a sheet of stickers(as jpg) how do i then get to edit the individual stickers on the sheet? tku.
Did you attach or flatten the image before you saved it ?
Anyway to save from design space on an iPad?
I'm thinking that, in order to save my hard-drive space, I can occasionally go into my C drive and move the design space files onto an external drive. Thanks for this video!
Thank you so much, I wanted to do that for a long time.
Glad I could help!
Thank you for this tutorial. Interesting.
Thankyou so much x
Thank you so much for this informative video
Great video. Thanks so much!
Thanks so much you are awesome
Thank you so much for your help 😊
Happy to help!
Thanks a lot . that saved my project
God bless you! I was just about to throw my cricut out the window!
Helpful video!!
Thanks lady
forgot 2 say once u have found yr project u can save it some where else & rename it. if u renamed in the original path ds might not be able to open it bc of the name change.
Do all the steps and in images folders search PNG and you'll see the PNG images only :) I do this all the time. No more looking through all those folders for your images.
i can not find the 3hamburger lines on left side of my Cricut Design Space please help
So you can only save uploaded items.? Anything you make in design space does not save on your computer. :( I also found that if you open all your files and if you go to view and click in detail then it will give you the date it was modified.
Very informative
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for the video. I used your technique to upload a business logo to Vista Print & using the Snipping Tool method, it still loaded with a white background & not just the image. Any way to fix this??
Hello Liz you can use other app to remove the white background. You can try remove.bg
Awesome info!!! Thanks for sharing. Do you know if the image is saved with a transparent background? Thank you
I believe it can't, but you can try to remove the background through other app. Try remove.bg if this works.
Are you able to change the colors after you snip it and put it in a different program?
Hello, since it is now a picture, you won't be able to change its color.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻thanks
What about if I want to leave it as an svg ?
I Just applied this technique on my HP computer and I have a cricket explorer 3
Great video! If you do not mind me asking what is the name of the font you are using for the “I love you to the moon and back”?
Hello Tyra, my apologies, I'm looking for it but already forgot the name. I have downloaded it from Dafont.com.
I want transparent background I don't want the white background any idea how to do?
Hello Priya, you can use other app to remove the white background. You can try remove.bg
Thank you so much! Now I’m able to print a larger image in Inkscape! You made my day! 😘
You're welcome!!
Awesome tutorial. Is there a reason why mine come out blurry when printing ? or is mine the only once?
One reason why it becomes blurry is when you stretch the image too much it becomes pixelated.
I’m about to give up lol…I’m saving my logo I made and when I go in to find it like you have it isn’t on there! My logo was 3 pieces I put together and it’s on there in pieces and not the whole logo and I’ve even welded it together when I made it to make sure it save as one and I don’t know what else to do my saved image from design space isn’t saved on my computer I’ve done the steps you have over and over! Can someone please help me? Thank you in advance ❤️😩
Hello Lindsey! Apologies for the late reply, how was it? Were you able to do it?
i clicked on the upper corner you said and nothing happened. Is there something else you are supposed to do?
On cricut design I cannot hide the grid on the background by the method you are showing. Do you have any idea why not?
You can turn the Grid lines on and off if you go to the Cricut Settings, click on the three lines on the top left-hand corner of your screen and click Settings. A window will appear, and you will be able to turn off your grid by selecting "No Grid" on the Canvas Grid portion. Hope this helps.
take the images out of the folders..i feel like the images arent as crisp when i screenshot. thank you for this ima gonna try it and see if i can figure out and easier way now that i know its possible
Glad I could help!
OMG.....this video/tutorial is awesome. It came at a perfect time. THANK YOU>
Anyone know how to do it from the iPhone?
What font did you use? So pretty
It is a font called Valerie - it is a font that I found and uploaded.
I went into all the images and saved them to a cricut folder in photos, so all I have to do is scroll down to the design I need
Easy to take a screenshot on a Mac: control+command+4
It doesnt snip my design. It takes the taskbar
How do you find these files on a Mac?
Use command shift 4 it will bring screen shot up it will let you highlight area and it will be on desktop
What are the "easy ways to get rid of the background" once you've saved it to your computer?
So this is a late reply - sorry, use a program like remove.bg. I'm assuming you solved the problem but for in case my late reply might still help.
