How to Easily Draw Eyes | Understanding the Asaro Method Part I

- This one is going to be a slow #drawingtutorial for the eyes. I am going to take you through three different reference photos and show you how you can begin to draw the eyes using the Asaro method. Asaro gained fame in portrait art due to his ability to break down the human form into simple-to-understand planes. Once you understand the planes of the eyes the rest is fairly easy. This is a very cool method. Loomis method does not work for me, but Reilly method and Asaro Method works fine for me. It would be interessting if you could combine Reilly and Asaro Method because I like gesture drawing. Additional I am using triangulation method (in mind) to get the propotion of the basic schapes correct.

Any tips for placing the first plane? The second lines up with the temple and the third with the corner of the eye but I didn’t understand how to place the first one after you connect the tear duct to the nose bridge
Roughly right in the middle of those two.
Can you use this method to draw a set of eyes in isolation (sans the rest of the face)?
Absolutely, the Asaro method works extremely well for that.

How to draw without a picture reference. Pls help
I would say try and draw with the same approach. You can start to draw any character with this method. You don’t need a reference to follow principles. Let me know if it works for you.
