Gisela was much better for Uthred than Aethelflaed, because she truly loved him like he did love her, while Aethelflaed only used him for her own purposes. And Ruby Heartley actually looks as if she could be Peri Baumeister's daughter.
The casting choice for Stiorra and Gisela is insane!
Your right bro Alfred daughter don't really love Uthred that much, if not she would have let him rule mercia and be queen, but the greed of power swallowed her up, even Alfred wife wanted Uthred to rule mercia the only time she supported Uthred after her husband's death

@@ebipade_oweifie I wouldn’t say that. Aethelflaed really had Mercias best interests in mind. Maybe not from beginning to end, but she’s had her reasons. Gisella was definitely the true love though, great mother and wife.

When she died it made my heart break! He had finally found love, and true love! She was everything he needed and wanted. She was so kind, my heart breaks seeing this! He has gone though so much pain and suffering! True love it a gift and so hard to find

Our darling Gisela!!!! Oh I love and miss her so dearly. I was a bit surprised that the soup scene with Osferth & Uhtred wasn't included in the ending memory montage since it connected him, Gisela, Skade, and the first healing steps Uhtred could start to take. I'll never be over how they did such a perfect job of casting Ruby as Stiorra too! Thank you for making & sharing this with us!!
This is the type of woman and love a man can have for her that society wants us to believe doesn’t exist unless in fantasy, but I can say it’s real if even though for only a moment!!
She truly loved Uhtred, didn't she? What a shame she had to die. :( I really loved them together.
It’s so tragic. The one woman who loves him and was every bit as good as him gave him children and then died. She’s every woman that a real man wants.

I loved them. But I also looked forward to Mildreth and Uhtred. They started off nice. Her being pregnant defending him against Alfred’s wife. *just rewatched the series again. Sorry.* but in the end Gisela was the better choice I do agree with that. She truly unconditionally Loved him. Mildreth had conditions I think. Now I want to see a video with Uhtred and his children. Specifically one with Stiorra and Uhtred. Their relationship evolved like crazy.

Best moment is when Uhtred get Aethelred from horse after insult Gisela..put knife under throat..that is how MAN defend honor of own wife..never again to insult women,and....Uhtred and Gisela is perfekt match,to each other..TRUE LOVE..

@RM Film Yeah I did start it! It took me a couple of episodes to really get into it, but I'm in love already😂
@@helenmand It’s great you’ve already gotten into it. I find that season 1 isn’t the best of them all (still very good) so it can be a little hard to get through, but as soon as the likes of Season 2/3 come into play. The show really becomes itself! 😄

Gisela(perfect) > Iseult(died too soon) > Aethelflaed(little bit creepy at first) > Brida(cares too much about being dane) > Mildrith(cares too much about christian faith) > Skade(crazy)
I love this series so much but i want aethelfled and uthred together but in the end no woman for uthred already so im sad😔😔
Why always his wives died that sucks
His whole life is extremely tragic. His mother died when he was young, his father is killed, his “adoptive” father is killed, his friends are killed, his son dies, his lover is killed, his adoptive brother is killed, his wife dies, his first lover becomes his enemy who tortures those he loves and is then killed right as they’re reconciling, his new lover sacrifices their relationship and then also dies. I’m sure I’ve missed some. But I think its a good rule to never get too close to Uhtred 🤣
He doesn't deserve a good wife I bet he will have cheated on her as well if she remained alive. Plus the other one that died was not his wife. Only a lover that he cheated on her first wife with her
