once I took out my Mamiya AFD and one of the neighbors asked me what the heck i was doing? I told her Im taking pictures with a film Camera, she looked puzzled and asked me Why??? XD.

Welcome to LA! I know you're new here, but Angelino Heights and Silver Lake are not the Eastside. I've lived here my entire life and currently live in Little Tokyo, which is near the real Eastside (Boyle Heights). It's really not as bad as it used to be, but has a lot of beautiful photo ops. I hope you enjoy your time here and hope to see you walking around my neighborhood in Little Tokyo sometime!

Just a note: "East Los Angeles" is a very different area than the East-Side (where you are) of Los Angeles.

@@Iliya_sh72 east side (silver lake, koreatown, east hollywood) is still west of DTLA, but it's to differentiate itself from the west side (santa monica, culver city, etc.)
