ZREO: Second Quest presents ZREO Legacy: Twilight Symphony Selections. This curated remastering of Zelda Reorchestrated’s Twilight Symphony features 26 tracks and has been optimized for modern streaming services. Now, for the first time ever, ZREO Legacy: Twilight Symphony Selections is available for streaming on all major platforms.
Founded in 2004, Zelda Reorchestrated created virtual performances of music from The Legend of Zelda as it would have sounded with the warm halls and intimate expression of live players. Twilight Symphony was the team’s largest and most ambitious project, which amassed a dedicated following throughout the years.
Originally announced in 2010, Twilight Symphony was successfully crowdfunded via Kickstarter in 2011. Using Kickstarter funds, the team worked with famed sound engineer John Kurlander and award-winning vocal conductor Tim Davis to finish the album with a 29-member choir.
ZREO Legacy: Twilight Symphony Selections is now available for streaming and purchase on Spotify, Apple Music/iTunes, CZcams Music, Amazon, Tidal, Deezer, and Pandora.
We cannot distribute the original Twilight Symphony. We ask that you kindly refrain from uploading the old tracks and full runtime videos to CZcams. In the event the legal landscape changes, we’ve already remastered the rest of the tracks. Rest assured, we are saving them for a rainy day.

@@zreosq I understand the hesitation of going against a large corporation such as Nintendo in a lawsuit but wouldn't the original have fallen under the remits of Fair Use? As far as I'm aware, if copyrighted music is used in a "transformative" way, then legally it falls under Fair Use and therefore is legal to use. I'd imagine a symphony reorchestration of the original soundtrack for Twilight Princess would be considered a "transformative use."
@@itztimg That is not how Fair Use works for music, unfortunately. Fair Use only applies to very limited applications of copyrighted material, and only covers short samples of music used. Musical covers like Twilight Symphony are not protected under Fair Use due to using the entirety of a protected work (the melody, soul of the piece) in a limited transformative nature (arrangements closely adhering to the original). Truly transformative music covers are considered derivative works and require a separate licensing process.
Why does Nintendo hate its fans so much that they'd take down this fanmade work of art that celebrates their game?
Because for some reason Nintendo thinks that North America and the rest of the world doesn't need access to the great songs that they made in games. Make it only available in Japan. Even if it means that they are literally losing money.

It's such a shame almost half of the original masterpiece is gone... I used to study and work on my dissertation listening to your incredible work, and now I feel a part of me is missing. Hopefully you can get the rest of the tracks back online someday....

I can't help but cry my eyes out at 30:08. It just completely captures the essence of twilight princess in whole.
Was so sad that the Prince Ralis theme was removed, but nonetheless, the entire album is pure magnificence

According to the description, it was remastered as well, along with the rest of the other missing tracks. However it specifies they’re saving it for a rainy day of some kind. Here’s hoping a second album releases sometime in the next year

In the description it states that they’ve remastered the other half and are saving them for a “rainy day”, so we’ll likely get the remaining tracks within a year. Within a few months, hopefully.
This is unfortunately not the case. The tracks are being saved in case the legal landscape changes and we can release them. We have no timeframe for that, as it's all up to Nintendo.
@@theironchai Ah okay, I misunderstood the nature of the legal situation. I thought maybe it had to do with the rights for original vs remastered tracks. Nintendo’s legal policies and track record with claiming/flagging/etc. videos and such didn’t even cross my mind. Thanks for the clarification.

Same! When I listen to this part so many emotions swell up. Triumph, courage stand forefront, but more than that I feel a sense of home and friends. I can see link peering into the darkness, the most evil and corrupt things before him, but none of that matters because he's doing all of this for those he cares about and from that the greatest courage comes forth within him.
The death mountain theme pumps me up every time. Absolutely love it
That and Faron Woods. With those awesome background sounds that seem like rustling bug wings, it's so much cooler and more creepy than the game.

I am so grateful to the creators of this amazing album, especially for what it was in its full form. I feel so lucky to have been able to hear it in full for so long. This, and Time's End I and II by Theophany, are true works of art and are precious nostalgia gems.

When I got married (14 years ago) l replaced the traditional Bridal March with Zreo's cover of Zelda's Theme. Since then I have put all 4 of my babies to sleep listening to their work.
Nintendo Needs to Make an Elden Ring style Zelda game, based on the Twilight Princess Manga, with this Music. I would pay through the roof for that.

I would kill to have the missing remastered tracks. This is some of my favorite studying music. Nintendo makes great games but their corporate decisions are impossible to defend.

it's so interesting that the twilight realm cover begins with the Death Sword theme. They are portraying the twilight realm as a sort of Hell, in a sense. 🤯
Ganon's Exile is a total masterpiece. Sounds like Bloodborne took that track as inspiration.

this might be the best pure zelda soundtrack ever. I mean I love BOTW and most of Wind Waker but BOTW was pretty experimental in a lot of ways.. and even though it does have some of my favorite zelda songs.. this soundtrack feels more like a traditional zelda game

I wanted to ask (since I can't seem to get a concise answer), which tracks were in the original version of this album that have since been removed? I remember the original video being well over 2 hours and was curious.

Hey Jacob! It was mostly the boss and battle tracks. Nintendo never released any of those on any American OSTs, and since they were all unique, they all had to be licensed on their own. Shame, we hope it changes one day.. 🫂

If Nintendo ever made a Legend of Zelda Movie, i’d Hire you to do the soundtrack. This is a masterpiece of musical genius. You managed to not merely cover one of the best OSTs in video-games in my opinion, the original sound, the dramatic atmosphere. NO, you have amplified that atmosphere ten fold!

When I was a kid, I was so gullible to believe Nintendo was making a Zelda movie. There was a real life parody on CZcams involving Ocarina of Time. Sadly, never happened.

At the moment, it looks that way. We have the remainder of the tracks ready to go for licensing, but it is all on Nintendo to release more music from Twilight Princess before we can do so. :(

Please don't reupload songs from ZREO that they can't legally re-release. Part of the rules of getting this selections up is to take down all of the other songs that are not legal in copyright laws yet.

Came across their recent reorchestration of Midna's theme and I was astonished by how it sounded *exactly* like the original reorchestration so I checked out the album to find NOTHING except the new video. I'm a little confused about this because those pieces were really excellent, I don't see why new orchestrations can't coexist.
