Nothing makes me want pistachios less than that dodder Ellis
I'm pretty honest about the fact that, as a kid learning to skate around the time Ryan was really blowing up, I hated on the dude all the time with my friends out of pure jealousy. Seemed like Ryan was living the sort of life we all dreamed and was close in age to us & for some reason that really bugged a lot of us. We were dumb kids and we had no real idea what the reality of the situation was. Now as an adult and having learned about the shit Ryan was put through and how he's pulled himself back up into a better place I have so much respect for the guy & to see him doing well is great.
You are not alone, bud . Like you said, we all grown up and only want what is good for most good people nowadays . It's never too late to realize we were wrong.
how old are you now dude ?
same, 31 now and really like the dude, but was very fashionable to hate on him in middle school
Ryan is as genuine as it gets. 100% skateboarder
Being born in 93 the Tony Hawk game's what got me into skateboarding as a kid and Ryan Sheckler was such a motivation being so young and seeing someone not to much older then you killing it.
92 here... I'm with ya g
Hell yeah same here, 93 til infinity
Him and dreaded baby Nijia Houston were 🔥
Same bro
Thats a fact. '94....rugged raw.
It’s refreshing to hear a “child star” have nothing but grateful and humble memories about his childhood and his relationship with the role models around him. AND NOT HORRIFIC TESTIMONY OF BEING GROOMED AND DIDDLED. Skateboarding is built different. 🤘
To be fair Ryan sheckler was swimming in girls lol
Sheckler is such a good dude, I’m glad he is still stoked on skating and still ripping🤘🤘
I hope Ryan finds out that pretty much all of the haters are now fans. It was mob mentality to hate on him for no reason. He’s one of the best to ever ride a skateboard and a humble dude. Huge props to him for everything he’s done and everything that he’s going to do.
So good to hear Sheckler is doing so good these days!
This is great Jason being so excited for Ryan and being so proud of him which I wasn't expecting
Wait why is that surprising? I feel like Jason is usually stoked for people when they do well.
@@Jeremy252 nah the energy just feels different for him than others but it explains alot in the episode met him as a kid
@@Jeremy252I mean, he definitely wasn't too stoked on that Meals by Cug guy a couple episodes back lol
@@psychotropictraveler514that seems normal to me haha
Selling 30k boards a month 😮
The Tupac intro was super sick
He was in town for a demo few years back. he looked rough, I didn't even recognize him. Now he looks good. Congrats bro.
I grew up with Ryan, I remember going to that birthday party, Tony signed all of our boards, he was so cool to everyone! Me and Ryan lived across the street from each other, all day everyday he was practicing on his board, everyone on the block knew he was going to be huge one day. So happy for all his success!
Been waiting to see you guys talk to Sheckler since I watched the secret skatepark tours a few months ago, sick to see it finally happen! You guys gotta get Matt Hoffman on here too, that would go CRAZY!
I would love for them to have Matt Hoffman on!
I worked near the San Clemente skate park in 2000 and I remember seeing this little kid killing it, turned out to be Sheckler
So rad to see the respect between Tony and Ryan here.
I’m 31. This is right up my alley in the nostalgia area! Man. I was there for ALL the Tony Hawk games. I remember having a Woodward learn to skate dvd lol I loved Schecklers show at the time too. But I could tell it was hurting him. Was always a fan. Cool shit.
Ryan was one of my favorites growing up, i always admired his kickflips
That’s what’s up ! I went to the YMCA skate park for my 10th birthday and Tony Hawk was there skating that blue vert ramp and he was boosting , he also gave us all autographs and skated with us for a lil , I remember it so vividly! Tony was so cool and humble, class act , he couldn’t of been more than 20 , rare breed ! At that time the skate park was a real treat, it was expensive, kids got it good these days! Hhahahah
My daughter met Sheckler last week at Woodward in PA. Sent me a photo of the 2 together.
LOVE the Yin Yang relationship between Hawk and Wolf. Even the last names, Its so cool. Love from Australia.
Shecks is a goat!!! I got my 6yr old son a smalls board and it’s been the best thing for him he’s progressing so much faster now!!! That part Shecks just dropped is mind bending good
Yo just keep doing your thing Tony and Jason. Love your stuff even if I I only watch like once a month. But you know how it is
This was a fantastic episode. Sheckler has such a pure and true heart for skating. Much respect.
Stoked to see Ryan doing well with life and being a father now. The best part of Ryan's story is that there's not a single one of his haters/critics that can skate even half as good as him. Shecks will always get the last laugh.
Great interview !! True 90s kid !! Shecks is in my top 5 with P Rod, Nyjah, Chaz Ortiz and Shane O’Neil
Love watching these guys do promos for the sponsors😂, I never thought I'd see them hype up pistachios.
Am I right that Jason seems totally put-off by the promos? Tony really sells them though, like he's stoked on the products and pre-read and practiced the script. Jason just sort of muddles through them. I seriously think it would be hilarious if Johnny Knoxville pranked him and gave him a promo on the RIF (Reading is Fundamental) program, with the joke being he could read them a little better and with enthusiasm. He's so funny though. It's just his way.
Thank you Jason & Tony & Hawk vs Wolf crew!! I’ve seen every single episode and it’s gets better every week!!! Sheckler was ALWAYS cool to me!!!! 🤘🏼🤙🏻🤙🏻🀄🀄
What an awesome, honest, deep talk!
Thanks so much for talking about stuff like mental health issues, alkohol addiction, struggling with life and overcoming it.
Because often the picture what we see from you guys is, a shiny, bright, cool lifestyle living from skateboarding.
And it touches me to see, that you’re humans too, struggling sometime in life.
Thanks a lot guys! 🙏
Such an awesome podcast. Brought so much joy and laughter to me. So amazing to see them all together
I always skip promos in other videos, but to watch Jason at it it's the funniest thing I've seen in months.
This hole thing feels like a lot of love between a bunch of longtime friends chatting with each other about some deep important stuff. Thanks guys and Ryan I hope you keep going and all the best !
Great interview! Tony, I hope you release that documentary about your leg. I recently broke my hip at the age of 46 in a mountain biking accident and seeing you recover so well from your injury really has helped to give me hope that I will be able to return to riding. I love how open and honest you guys are, you guys are inspiring more people than you know.
Great interview! What a legend, a lot of good wisdom in here. So glad to see him doing OK and being a dad. Gnarly!
I love Ryan and Ive always loved him, even during the reality show phase! Maybe not the best or most technical skater, but the most stylish imo
You’re an even bigger legend for the 2Pac story. ✊🐐
What an Awe-Sum Conversation!! Thanx Guys!
Havent skated since 2015 but ryan will always be my favorite skater of all time and the reason i picked up a board, makes me emotional seeing how far hes come, everytime i see him on my screen its like im transported back to 2008, shoutout to my mom for being the one to introduce me to him 🤟
Gotta love Ryan , what an amazing human being!
Another great episode. Thanks team.
Cool story for me was when I was 8 I saw Ryan Sheckler and Tony Hawk in Hawthorne California at this track and field place and you guys signed my stuff for me , Ryan was 13 and trying kickflip to Indy’s on a huge half pipe at that point and it’s always been a huge memory for me 🙏🏼
Sheck talkin about living sober and then a Busch commercial pops up. Great job CZcams!
That aside… Great conversation! Never lack of realness from Hawk/Wolf and it’s great to hear some of Sheckler’s path aside from promo.
Ryan, you're a badass for still being a role model and telling your story, thank you! I went through the same exact thing for 8 years. I'm 6 years sober, 70lbs lighter, and have two little girls. I can't imagine going through all that while being famous. Much respect.
Best podcast out right now!
This was a great episode. Good to see Ryans doing well. His show was must watch TV as a kid.
I remember having all the Ryan sheckler clothes and watching the show and all his skate videos. He was an idol to me growing up. Glad to see he’s still doing good and his new video part is an absolute banger. He always threw down and still can obviously
I think I have seen every interview Ryan has done in his adult life. this one hit some some stories that I haven’t heard so good on you guys for getting something new out him.
Thank you for tuning in!
Ahhhh! Thanks y’all!
Thank you !
Every week, we are in the sauce! Much love
I just saw the full podcast dam enjoyed it!!
Sheckler and Prod are inspirating most adult skaters now!❤
I grew up watching all 3 of these guys, absolute legends.
Oooo been waiting for this one indeed!! Awesome. 27 now but I was 12 or 13 streaming life of ryan as a kid in sweden.
He's the best! I have admired him so much!
Love Ryan giving Tony his flowers 💐🔥
Hyped to watch this one 🍿
Gleaming the cube Tony! Also I first became aware of Ryan on MTV's cribs big ups to him for real Jason is an involving evolving revolving human good on you.
I remember watching almost round 3 and being like " this kid is a year older than me!?" Sure he became unpopular but he has and still has always ripped. Happy for him
Great interview! 3 fascinating fellas
Jason on the commercials is so funny
Awesome episode! I loved watching Ryan on the "Tony Hawk's Secret Skatepark Tour" videos; he very much inspires me and the kind of skating I want to do!
What a great dude. Super happy for him!
Started my journey toward sobriety yesterday so yall touching on that meant a lot! Much love
Love you guys. Would have liked to hear Ryan talk about the round 3 video and his experience during those times…Legends!
"I'm still chasing rolling away" 😳 I felt that
Congratulations Ryan!!!
Love the support! He's been great and it's funny how certain industries hate on you for making it when in reality everyone is just trying to make. Becoming successful isn't selling out its just what happens when you put in the work combined with that kind of passion. "suck a butt if you don't like it" hahaha so good!
The shared experiences between Tony and Ryan are interesting. Two different generations with the same noise.
Respect to Ryan for not juat getting after with action, but getting health and clean and being a positive story in skateboarding and juat men in general. He had his stuff, we all do, then he made decision to get on a path of faith and health. That will shut out the noise real quick.
I watched the red bull documentary and it was killer. Almost had me in tears, what a story.
you guys have more commercial's than the morning news. YEEESH
I really envy this circle of respect you guys all have! Keep this positive vibe flowing for future generations to learn from!
Shecks is a real G. I havent skated in 2 years due to shit but this is giving me some impetus to go back out and shred xxx
This is the first time in 34 years an ad has ever got me , im heading out to grab some pastachios thanks to halk and wolf lmao. Dead ass
😂😎
@@HawkvsWolf mmm mmmm good lol thanks for all the inspiration over the years and for giving me the courage and motivation to grab a taisty snack as well . Haha much love , God bless you and yours
Ryan Sheckler is like Alex Hannold at how he sleepless nights strategizing how to land the Encinitas bank as Hannold memorized his route up El Capitan. Sheckler is extremely legendary 🔥🔥🔥
Yes!!! Legends!!!
Such a great episode. Loved the Tupac photo explainer and Cyndi Lauper diss tease and all the Sheckler content.
Such a legend
Super happy for Ryan getting better. Side note, that giant hoodie makes him look like a 14 year old again wearing an adult hoodie. Bringing it back!
Also also, they need Matt Hoffman on this
“Tony hawk secret skatepark tour” i used to watch it all the time on my VideoNow😂🙏🏽 great pod!
Good job Ryan!!! Never look back brother!!!
Great interview. Ryan is a great dude and I am super happy for him getting sober and living life.
My only criticism is watching early episodes of this podcast to the newest ones is the ad reads are bit much.
Had a feeling this was coming when I saw Tony in the Ryan Sheckler doco the other week. Fuck yeah, killing it with the guests guys ❤
Thanks for watching!!
Love y'all so much man 3 Legends
killer episode again bros. SPOT legends vert at Tampa Am this year. be rad to see you guys. one love
Awesome episode
“TELL ME HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO LIVE WITHOUT YOUUU” Michael Bolton used to wake me up out of my sleep when I was child lol
I love when they talk about partying and skateboard
Great episode
thank you
Its good to see Ryan took the right path in the end.. I personally think after beating addiction you appreciate the simple good things in life! Keep ya head up keep skating!
Great episode again boys!
Thanks for watching man!
@@HawkvsWolfI never miss an episode!
Great show 👏👏. ❤❤❤
every time jason reading ads is funny af lol.
I had your secret skatepark tour on DVD and Ryan sheckler and Sean White kill it as youngsters then
Dope podcast this was the 💣 one
awesome!
hey im super early on this one, awsome episodeas always guys!
I quit skating in my prime due to addiction. Was one of the best skaters in my little podunk town. Used to be able to show up at any spot with any clique and fit right in. 20 years later it’s one of my biggest regrets. I have no connection to the scene anymore other than videos like this. Don’t sacrifice your passion for a cheap thrill. You may not miss it yet but when you can look back and see where it all went wrong trust me, you’ll wish you had chosen the board not the bottle.
Lovely Monday
Great ep legends! One request would like some time stamps 🙏
That ending wow
Great interview! Cindy...wow...she probably didn't even take it. Hopefully, it wasn't on purpose. That's really messed up. Never realized the hate was so prevalent on Ryan and that it got to him like that. The best thing is, despite it all, he overcame it, plus booze and is a great father, family man, ambassador and man of faith and values. Good seeing you all up there sharing stories and letting us in. Ecery show is like hanging out with heroes - true legends of skatebording and cultural icons.
