Many years ago, there was a production on Broadway of Tennessee Williams "A streetcar named Desire."
As a barely audible, struggling, and slow-motion acting from Jessica Lange bored me at yawning levels, I thought of YOU.
Me:
"God, where the fk is Sean Young, she would set that stage on fire..."
I fell in love with you and your talent, which is absolutely amazing and real. I heard the stories, amplified as time went on. I never believed them, and if they were true, you earned the right to be a bitch. Artistic integrity from a great actress is always seen as a declaration of war, particularly by insecure directors. Your contemporary Debra Winger had an identical obstacle course in show business.
I look forward to seeing you in this production and reliving the Sean Young spirit LIVE!!!
