Hot Rod
I was thinking the same, hahahahah
Maybe that's his style. He only went Crazy in the Digital Shorts because he was more comfortable and in control of the whole thing. He's pretty smart and talented. Plus based on his Emmys monologue, he seems to have a good handle on the good and bad in society. I wouldn't be surprised if he directs a full film later. Maybe part drama. Sort of like how Judd Apatow films are hilarious but have some real heart in them. He could be someone like Robin Williams, who can go from comedy to drama, and make some very meaningful stuff. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
Jason Sudeikis' delivery is f****** amazing in both skits.
Yaaaa
I grew up in Maine, went to college for Criminology in Maine and sat in on many a court case and I can attest that this is 100% accurate. That's Maine justice.
I knew it!
It's hard...but it's fair

@@Pete_Finch exactly
Jason Sudekis was the most underrated cast member on SNL.
You ain't lying!!! Catch him in "what's up with that?"👏👏🤦🤦🤷💕😂
him, bill hader and fred armisen are considered one of the best trios though.
Who is that?
Is there a club for those who comment: "... is the most underrated cast member on SNL"? There is one under each SNL video.
I completely disagree. I think jason is funny in the movies he is in, but i find him cringeworthy in 99% of his snl skits
"If the gators don't get ya, the North Atlantic trout will" That's gold!!
Southern Yankee gold
You took the words right out my mouth classic line!!!!! lol
Its gold? Why is it gold? Sure, comedy is subjective, but this is awful, the entire thing.
@@matthewhorizon6050 you must be fun at parties
No Gators here.
SNL needs to bring back the Maine Justice skit again lol!
I want to see one where there’s an actual Maine citizen as the defendant
Absolutely! When they have Jason Sudeikis as a host, this should be one of the skits! He should cameback as the judge!
I am from, and currently reside in Maine. I have lived in New Orleans for 4 entire winter seasons. I have no clue what is supposed to be happening here.
@@shanehall2242 it had to do with people, originally from New Orleans, relocating after Hurricane Katrina. Whether or not some landed in Maine, I don't know. However, they (in the skit) took their New Orleans ways with them, and there you go. 😅
@@nooranen3178 He is hosting 10/23/21. Would be great if they do a Maine Justice skit!

How come there are only 2 episodes of Maine Justice ??? I want more... more justice.

Just caught that now I'm song and want to rewatch

I'm from Maine, and the ironic part is that the French people in Louisiana are actually originally from northern Maine and Canada. They were Acadians, and were deported by the English in the 18th century, and eventually wound up in Louisiana. There are still a lot of French speaking Mainers in the northern half of the state. Names like Boudreaux and Thibedeaux are still fairly common up there.
Yes indeed. I lived and worked there for a few years and heard a good bit of French. The people were wonderful in Maine. Best three years I ever had. Many French names as well.
Except without the “x”.
@@amishmime Ya that's definitely true in most cases. I actually know one family named Boudreaux up there that uses the X, but the Thibedeaus I know and most of the others don't use the X. Not sure how/why the Cajuns began using the X in the first place.
Also borders quebec and new brunswic which are by far the most bilingual provinces in canada. I swear the fact that NY borders quebec is why you guys think we're all french.
Ooh cool fact! I like that
" we don't take to kindly of southern folks around here" that had me crackin up.

This really is one of the most underrated bits SNL has ever done.
How is it underrated though...? Don't you mean it's good... At least at time of writing this comment, it has an overwhelming like to dislike ratio, so I'd say it's fairly accurately rated. Saying a sketch (or cast member for that matter) is/was underrated isn't the same as saying you like it/them. It's not nearly as complimentary a thing to say as I think you think it is.
You mean the Jamie foxx one don’t you?

One of my favorite if not THE favorite SNL skit I've ever seen
Jason Sedakis is always funny in whatever he does. Maine Justice is comedic gold.

Sounds like you need to be a plaintiff on Maine Justice.
This is so hilarious. Jason Sudeikis is one of my favorite SNL actors, he gets into character 100%.
“You a long way from Canada, you in Maine now, boy!” 😂
Somehow that was the line that did it for me--almost choked to death laughing. When a weird little line turns an absurd premise into genius.
@@falstaffswims Probably because it lampooned the southern stereotypical disdain for "yankees", as seen in older movies. I spit my coffee out, when I first saw it, cuz I laughed so hard! The exaggerated accent & physicality was GENIUS! 😂😂😂😂

Who the hell screaming "Geaux tigers" and "Who dat" in the background? Feed her to da gators!!!
I know that was ridiculous, very rude to yell out like that during a skit. Some people have no class
@Talkin Bout Nawlins nah - it was annoying.
Rough Boy - it was a far right extremist
@@rustyshackleford7200 Qanon maybe? Your favorite.
She yelled "Woo! Go Tigers!" and then later when Timberlake's Bailiff character actually said "Home of Louisiana University... GO TIGERS!" she yelled out again... I don't have any proof, but I'm just guessing here... She was either an LSU alumni or a big Tigers fan. Quite possibly both.
Anyone bothered by it should probably get over it.
I think this is some of Jason Sudeikis’ best work. He nails being a southern judge
If this takes place in Bangor Maine then, by definition, he is not a Southern judge as Maine is on the border with Canada.

"New England-Everglades" :D hahaha

He ain’t a judge, he’s a “litigator”
What's ironic about this skit is Maine is a French name and has a large French heritage much like Louisiana
