Me, I live in Covington and work with the city in downtown Cincinnati. It's an easy commute. I find Kentucky to be safer and more neighborly, more quiet, more laid back, less urbanized, just overall pleasant. Yet, the catch is that I have a tax I pay each paycheck to live in Ky / work in Ohio. Yes, Cincinnati has great events, events of which you can enjoy whether you live here or there.

Yep. Same in Indiana on taxes. I retired from one of the largest companies in downtown Cincinnati area.We had a man who was mad about it! Everytime he got his paycheck we would start him up because he had to pay the tax and lived in Indiana. He fell for it every week! 😆

You may want to compare the laws. Ohio is a lot less strict on things than KY is. Cincinnati has medical Marijuana, KY has zero tolerance. KY will lock you up for things Cincy will give you a payout ticket for. When you renew your car tags in Cincy it's a set price in KY it is a % of the value of your car. There are major differences depending on what you are looking for.

The question for me is the violence in Cincinnati - downtown and Northern Kentucky most notably Covington in Newport Kentucky. Up until 2001 I lived in both Cincinnati and Covington Kentucky. Both places were dangerous and are Hell Holes!
I left Cincinnati in 2001 because I was attacked downtown after leaving a place called Madonna's buy a man he was taking Paxil and drinking on top of it. You could say that he was cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs....
I called the cops to let them know what had happened. I have cerebral palsy yet I am the man that got charged for protecting my life, by state's attorney Joe Deters you lied to my attorney by saying the reason why everything happened was because I stole the man's beer, another lie told by the prosecution. On the day the trial started, the state layed down their evidence. In their photos - ( police crime scene photos shows the men's beer with him where he collapsed about two blocks away from where he attacked me. Yet Joe Deters the state attorney for Cincinnati Ohio insisted that I tried to rob a man who is a physical fitness coordinator of the YMCA downtown Cincinnati. Just stated again I have cerebral palsy my whole left side, so I was no match against this man except for the fact that I had a knife to stop him from beating me to death with his karate moves....
I was attacked from behind in the alley behind my apartment building, which was the path of how I got home. For 8 months since 22 days, I lived in a living Hell, because Joe Dieter just wanted to throw me in prison for 8 years for defending myself. What an ass.... Last year I heard that Joe jeter's brother got attacked and hurt pretty bad. Hmmm I just wonder if it was because of the lies that Joe Dieter told my attorney to try to get me to accept a plea bargain of 6 years instead of 8 years in prison. I didn't take the plea bargain. So my attorney said what do you want me to do? I said the same thing I had to do in that alley late at night, FIGHT FOR MY LIFE! After 8 months and 22 days a jury of 12 pronounce me NOT GUILTY! I was so scared but I actually lost a patch of hair on the back of my head due to stress!

  • @hieronymoushamilton-holmes3821

If I were living in the Greater Cincinnati Metropolitan Area, it would have to be on the NORTH Bank of the Ohio River or in the State of OHIO. For me, this is purely psychological. I know it may not fully apply here, but Cincinnati would be considered NORTH of the Mason-Dixon line. Looking at the history of the two states, Ohio was considered a free state as established by the Northwest Ordinance while Kentucky was a SLAVE state. Once again, for me it would have to be OHIO.
