the reason NKY/Boone county is really booming is because for years housing developement was restricted because they didn't want popuation growth to outpace the infrastucture. I think Boone County is well positioned to handle the influx of new developement.

One thing I miss after living here is the lack of culture when it comes to food. Cincinnati is mostly fast food and chain restaurants. Coming from Los Angeles that was huge change for me. I’m used to being within 20 minutes from any kind of ethnic food imaginable. There’s some decent Indian food here, and some authentic Mexican if you know where to go (find a truck.) I almost never go out to eat here unless I’m looking for regular old American food. But people are very friendly, and it’s a safe place to raise kids. Also, the cost of living is going to be an absolute shock if you grew up on the west coast or Eastern Seaboard. I went from lower middle class to upper middle class overnight.

I came here from Southern California to train for a new career . Seriously thinking about staying after I’m done with all my certifications. It’s definitely not an exciting place to live. But this point in life I’m kind of over exciting. People out here are very friendly, and society functions properly. Also, with the cost of living it’s like living life on easy mode. Especially housing.

Being born and raised in Miami, my first time visiting Cincinnati was cool. It reminded me of the small towns tht id often see on tv. Slower paced, the housing structure was alot different alot of 2 story homes fencless homes and compared to miami it was far from flat. It was also my first time being around so much white people.

The arts are very strong here in Cincinnati, such as the performing arts, visual arts, theatre, etc.

Yes. Triple Crown is my favorite spot in all of Greater Cincinnati.

Basically Cincinnati is home of mediocre sports teams, second rate colleges and a third rate airport. Our weather is better than many but too cold in the winter and too hot in the summer. It's a great place to be FROM as in the Clooneys, Steven Spielberg, Roy Rogers and all four of my children and one grand child. Cincinnati is a city of neighborhoods of which the joker who narrated this video is clueless - if it's not Hyde Park, Oakley (home of another ex-Cincinnati person) or Mason this guy doesn't care.

We agree that it isn't appropriate for every community and price point to benefit from tax abatements, and we supported the reform to the residential tax abatement program that occurred last summer. The new abatement program is based on specific neighborhoods within Cincinnati rather than offering the same tax abatement benefits for all of Cincinnati proper. This significantly reduced abatement lengths and abated values in areas like Hyde Park, while increasing abated values in areas like College Hill that greatly benefit from incentivizing homeownership and diversifying price points. In turn, when homeowners purchase homes in communities like Station Court, they then contribute to the community and the small businesses within it.
