Shidong's style is exactly a clone of Fanzhengdong. he seems much younger, and a very promising star of future. Could be a successor of FZD.
Nothing of his style is similar to FZD. FZD is a machine while this kid is actually creative with machine precision. He is not trying to overpower everything

This kid's playing style and rhythm is very unusual. His backhand rubber must be very unusual too. I think Xu Xin can win next time. But this kid may also become one of the key Chinese team members in a few years. But probably will not be as good as the top players like Ma Long or Zhang Jike.

XX played good but not at his top level. I think adding more sidespin in some situations wouldn't let Lin be so aggressive . And Lin was very successful at the end of the games with almost bling bold attack tasting blood I guess :D Fan was better than Lin at 16 but this kid could prove a top spot in CNT if he continue to grow and his style is more consistent than Lin Gaoyang's. I want XX in the Olympic games , this man deserves the shot no matter who is on top in China at the moment.

Xu xin 's style is still be the same as before. He depends on forehand to get points. His backhand cannot be improved any more. May be Wanghao is the last penholder who can get the sigle world championship.

I haven´t seen any Xu Xin victory in 2021. Every match I watched, he lost, usually against Chinese lower ranked but "fast and hungry" players. Probably they found a way, how to defeat him regularly. Hopefully it is not beginning of his end.
He just beat everyone 4-0 in the next tournament, except for the final where he lost 3-4 to FZD

Lin Shidong is NOT better player compared to Xu-Xin! If they played 10 matches i bet xu xin wins 8 of them at least. Lin has nothing to loose, he knows xu xin is better so he played without fear, xu xin had to defend his place so is far Worse for him to loose this. Lin was expected to loose. Once a while this happends when the better player just loose😀

Secondly. Xu Zin. Was out played in every category, this have nothing to do with Sky walker Xu ability not playing well.
Lets give credit where it’s due to this new sensation that beat him up.
Thirdly. This kid show no signs of weakness to Xu Zin none..he play him like he had ZERO respect for his senior Xu Zin...his playing styles like Lu Gonzhang.
Look guys China have lots of kids in secrets ready to beat up on every national player..but China is waiting to expose them at the right time, like this new kid that beat up badly on Xu Zin. Lets face it Chinese table tennis to the rest of the world no comparison, the rest of the world should give up thinking that they can beat up the Chinese now in this time 2021. Not now to many kids in China that is hungry like Lions to come out of their cage, and eat the rest of the world for breakfast and lunch and dinner.
They have the best coaching staff’s that understand the game and the Science behind table tennis and the growth.
So whoever made that comment Zu Zin is not playing well, my friend Xu Zin is playing well, but the kid that beat him up, was playing on another planet. I mean no disrespect to your comments but facts is facts. This kid was better today. And he’ll become number one if he continue to play like this.

XU XIN 這場我只看前面三局 看得出他發球招數清醒 招招都是眼鏡蛇等級的一擊斃殺 世界等級選手 能防禦並防中的機率 我猜小於10% 但這個小將就是研究透徹 外加思路清晰 硬是 板板算中 而且非常穩接 另帶快速變線 (能在被打中 中路 最短路徑 的殺球 能防禦最快最短路徑的殺球 還能變線!! 而且不是偶爾幾顆 而是一局 超過七八顆以上) 連馬龍巔峰大概只能防 中路殺球 五六顆而已 這樣的實力 未來絕對是站穩世界前二十 甚至前五 只看中國隊有沒有給他機會賺積分

Xu xin play style demands the best forehand in the world and relies on his opponent to not be able to return the ball. But if they can, Xu Xin cannot counter because he's out of position
that is why he is called the cloudwalker and has been in the top 3 for 10 years because people THOUGHT they got him out of position until he walk on cloud for multiple grandfinal performance
