- This weekend, F1 is in Belgium for the 2024 Belgian Grand Prix - the final race before the sport takes its annual summer break. Who will come out on top at Spa-Francorchamps? Can Max Verstappen take his first win in 3 races? Or could McLaren make it 2 wins on the bounce? In this week’s preview, I take a look at the circuit, talk tyres and make some predictions. Plus, no point system change, Binotto is back and Alpine reveal special Deadpool and Wolverine livery!

one thing i have noticed this season is most of the teams cars are running close times to each other except for Red Bull,either Perez is having a stinker or his car is not as fast as his team mates.

With a 10 place penalty for verstappen? He will have to drive a hell of alot better than in Hungary to get Podium
Alpine seems like a chaotic environment Renault hiring and firing executives every 5 minutes and having trouble finding someone to drive their car but it has to be said that their liveries are at the top of the game. In every series lately their cars look amazing. Give that design team a raise. (Also the on track crew has been turning around some super reliable and quick pit stops lately so props to them.)
Russell has kind of disappeared a little bit over the last few races so I predict that at Spa he gets his mojo back and his car holds together and he is up there fighting with Max trying to keep him out of 3rd. It's possible.
Took me a second to notice it but the quick cut to krack in the intro was hilarious
This track is similar to silvestone so a mercedes track and Lewis has been in incredible form find it very hard to have both mclarens above him and max who as a grid penalty, can see this being a lando and lewis duel
The more teams fighting at the front the better! A Hamilton vs Norris fight could be fun though.

Red Bull are so confident that they will take P1 & P2 in Spar, this weekend, that they have no problem, letting Max take a major grid penalty,
Despite the possible rain distraction, our predictions for Spar are: Max; Checo; Carlos; Lando; Fernando.
My predictions for the SPA GP are: Checo Perez in first place; Hamilton in second; and Norris in third one!!!
I am rooting for Piastre.
I think he's a better driver than Lando.
Now the race week can start.

I'm not sure what you mean? Are you referring to the longest dry stints on the 2023 tyre data graphic? If so, I promise it's correct. I had to do several checks because 12 laps on Hards and 27 on Softs doesn't seem right - but it is.

Pole: VER - Podium: NOR-VER-PIA - Extra Point: SAI - Best of the Rest: Ferrari - Finishers: 16 or less (!!) because I expect shenanigans into Turn 1. Driver to Watch: RIC - If he wants that 2nd Red Bull seat, it's now or never.
Its literally impossible for Verstappen to start in pole position... Minimum tenth due to penalty.
I've not seen many people joke about Max needing a can of Red Bull before the race after staying up all night sim racing. Everyone from Sky to F1 CZcamsrs seems to have missed this opportunity.

Whenever Max feels like he can't win, he gets childish. He should know better after 10 seasons in F1.
Max doesnt change, petulant, overly aggressive and forceful, zero one on one race craft, just one dimensional, force it, torpedo, 10 years too late-divebomb, run 'em off, stop 'em, unfair, dangerous approach. Fast yes, but flawed, zero composure - only likes to drive off into the sunset, unchallenged - Brattish and ignorant to fair terms of sporting engagement, over rated if you have the F1 sporting eyes to see.
Guess you didn’t listen to greats like Vettel and Hamilton crying 24/7 on the radio when they’re not in a championship winning car
He wants to do the best he can and wants the team to be at their best every weekend as well. There's been races where he doesn't win and he's still happy because they did their best. It's not only about winning but obviously that's the goal
@@vandywn4352 All the drivers want to do their best, defo, and yes, there are a few who get very frustrated or down when its not working out, we know and expect that, Max though is a whole different case of unnaceptable - out of control, combustive, like he's about to implode, overtly rude, verbally abusive, just staright up too much.
