She cared so mich about that chef and he didnt spare her a second glance walking out. Even grinned. That was a 15 year scam he pulled on 3 restaurant owners
3 dumb people
It's mind boggling she allowed that to continue for so long. I despise firing my employees. By far the worst part about being an owner, and it literally keeps me up at night so it's not a decision I make on emotion. You gotta separate your feelings from your business though. Doesn't matter if it's my son or my best friend, there are standards, and if you don't live up to them, I'll find someone else who will.
@@topspot4834Respect, that’s how it needs to be. No one says u gotta be an ass when u do need to let people go but gotta put the buisness first and not let resistance to change or failure to keep high standards get in the way.
Why would she care? Her mom and sister put up their homes, per her own admission she only put up $1k and her expenses are being paid. But… the mom and sister are also accountable, they are frustrated but being majority owners they also have the majority to force Tatiana to make changes or remove her as an active participant in the business. It really feels like Tatiana has always gotten her way growing up and this is what happens when they don’t earn their way there. She lacks the confidence that she would have gained by getting pushback and learning how to deal with conflict.
I can imagine how she came to buy the place. Her hanging out with her coworkers bragging about how she'd run things if she owned the place. Then the owner telling everyone he was going to be closing the place and retire, then she thinks 'This is my chance' with the prodding from her coworkers, and indebts her mom and sister whispering lies of how successful it is and how its easy money. Then it brings us to where she is now in this episode. Unable to change or be the boss in the eyes of her coworkers thinking she'd lose their respect.@@medievalpeanut4269

absolutely insane how she convinced her family to invest WAY MORE than she did, and yet shes angry when they tell her they dont trust her and to get her shit together
How she started sobbing a pity party for herself and Chef Ramsey nipped in the bud! Suddenly, she's not sobbing, when someone saw through it and had the power to say homey don't play that game.
Well pretty girls have life on easy mode. I know that fact and still want to be involved in her life and want to help. I’ll take the 2.50 an hour job. As for her upset it’s because she believe the waitress doesn’t know the full story and is guessing. Otherwise I think if the waitress said that much she would have been okay with it.
She had the audacity to say "I didn't put a gun to their head" Like no crap lady because you've got good family who wants to HELP you by any means and to blindly take advantage of that is wild.
As someone who's in similar situations as the mothers, this hit hard. They truly act like it's no big deal.
My guess is,she threw a tantrum until they handed over their lives and houses to find her. My sister does the exact same thing. I have a house left to me in a will and I already plan to sign it over to her when she demands it because if not she'll throw a bitch fit and drag me through court and I have no money or strength to fight her. I'm 55 and live in a 40 year old broken down camper but all I want now in my life is some peace and to be left alone.

The one thing I love about Gordon Ramsey is he is way more savage with the owners when he sees they treat their waiters/waitresses bad. He was respectful with Tatiana until after the food then he went beast mode on her. I truly believe it was because Tatiana snapped at the waitress.

Casemero is in many ways the problem with modern hiring practices. "He's been a head chef in an Italian restaurant for 15 years, he must know what he's been doing." People simply fail up. It is difficult to impossible to change career fields because people are only evaluated by experience, and someone with ten years of experience failing will get hired before someone with six months of experience and a lot of potential.

You know what upsets me the most? In the end of the episode Tatiana goes like "He is such an angel, he saved ME" What? Chef Ramsay saved her mother's and sister's homes, not you and your 1000$ investment!
Even after all of that she was still egocentrical and selfish. What. A. Shame.
Hi matt
Its a TV show. What is said or what is really felt means nothing.. Too many people think TV is real life :)
Surprised to see you here.
hmmm I think she refers that he saved her from being weak minded and not getting rid of some damaging stuff. But we'll never know what she actually meant. Maybe she really was selfish, but that's a good thing to spot.
Well either way he didn’t cus the restaurant closed down lol
Cassimero was a literal joke. Rude, can’t accept criticism, crap food, inability to cook. And when she fired him he just went “no, bye!” After she nearly ran the restaurant into the ground to try and let him keep his job! I just…I can’t
totally agree with you - (shaking my head, but it doesnt get any better) ...so crazy
Also, in the meatball cook off with Daniella, the Sous Chef, when Gordon complemented her meatball, he said: "I don't like it!" Like a true sore loser who's mad when someone is doing better job than him. He knows English but refused to speak it to avoid the confrontations but Gordon saw his body language and he has dealt with many mental people so he's very used to see their body language. Also, he got spoiled by Tatiana and he knew Tatiana won't be mad at him. When Tatiana finally fired him, he realized he can't use her anymore and looked genuinely shocked.
Well look at his eyes
The dude stumbled into a grift and just ran with it. It's really stupid, but hilarious.

What i like about this episode, is while tatianna was emotional and sensitive. She was receptive and turned things around without to much fuss. More then most episodes gordan does. I like it
I love how that one girl in the kitchen knows exactly why Gordon's unimpressed and is somehow able to deal with not being able to give her opinion, that's some willpower
You mean, the sous chef? Feel bad for her too. She said herself that her hands are tied to the kitchen, she couldn't do anything with that crybaby spoiled owner and the head chef who doesn't care to anything.
Unfortunately it is people like her the world needs but also the type of people the world doesn't have in enough abundance because starting out they have too many consequences for doing and saying the right thing and so many give up being that way and learn to be quiet. It is a shame.
She should so much find a better place

One of the best parts of this show is the waitstaff that is completely honest and tells Gordon exactly what it wrong with the food, the management, and the place.
Gordon's friendliness with them definitely helps them feel like they can be real with him. He lets em know right away that he knows that it's not their fault

Being a leader is one of the hardest things to learn.... I know that feeling of upholding standards and having to repremand someone you respect and love..... it hurts so badly!! but to be a great leader, you don't take sides.... there has to be one goal bigger than the leader's or the owner's!! The success of the name!!
This is a good episode because it shows the dark side of owning a restaurant. You can give your staff everything they’ve ever wanted, praise them, and take care of them. In a second they can turn their back on you.
I'm sorry, I need to take a second to appreciate: a Spanish man, cooking Italian food, that apparently looks and tastes Chinese. The man is a cultural enigma.
As many people have pointed out to me he's probably actually Mexican, I just heard him speaking Spanish and somehow forgot there's plenty of places besides Spain that speak the language. If anything, that extra distance just makes him even more of an enigma.

They put their trust her experience to run a restaurant, because she was a waiter at the restaurant lol.
The fact they just trust her for running the restaurant just because she was the waitress of the restaurant before is stupid!

“We put up our homes for Tatiana’s dream…” What if owning a home was someone else’s dream? Tatiana put up “about $1,000” so you know it was less.
That Casmiro must have done major emotional manipulation to get them so invested in him. But he showed his true colors when he laughed at the suggestion that if it was his business on the line, he wouldn't be cooking so poorly and then when the owner fired him, he treated her like she meant nothing to him. That dude was the problem.
My favourite person in this episode is Danielle , she worked so hard and I think she should’ve gotten to be head chef
Super competent
I thought the same thing. Why not train her to be the head chef?
She was also being a translator, and for *FREE!!* 🤯
Gordon even called her "Darling" so gently as he's the only one who know that she is the most talented and hardworking person on that restaurant while Casamero and the other guy really sucked at their jobs
If she doesn’t get to be it in this restaurant it would definitely be in another restaurant because other restaurants will see this and know that she knows how to cook.

The thing is that there is very much a cultural difference here. I’m Latina and watching Casemiro make meatballs I IMMEDIATELY clocked that he was cooking them like Albondigas. We also have a tendency to hold onto food as this is what we were taught by our families because you can’t waste something so precious, like food It’s not that he doesn’t know how to cook, it’s just this is the difference between a home cook and a chef and you can’t have a home cook run a restaurant.

not to defend him or anything, but as a spanish speaker i think i can add insight: often times terms like "mijo"/"mijito" "mija"/"mijita" (my child) are used by older adults as a way to refer to younger people regardless of anyrelationship they may have.
