WandaVision Episode 7: Every Clue About the Agnes Reveal EXPLAINED

- WandaVision Episode 7 reveals that--as expected--Agnes is actually the witch Agatha Harkness. But the twist is that Wanda isn't controlling Westview. In fact, it’s been Agatha, all along.
We comb through the show for every clue that Wanda and Vision missed, that Agatha was the actual villain. We also speculate about Agatha’s plan, and that strange book in her creepy dungeon.
Katherine Hahn puts on a clinic in this show, and it’s an absolute delight to watch how she imbued her “neighbor next door” with a hint of malice.

One of the twins said he liked being around Agnes because she was “quiet on the inside”...you know, cause she’s the only one who’s not internally agonizing from being under mind control.
Or she can defend herself against his abilities?
Nice comment. Because I think Agatha's house is protected and She's draining billy's magic powers too. Wanda is a battery now. Like Star lord was

Dude, literally in the trailer we hear the radio say “Whos is doing this to you Wanda?” and then it cuts to Agatha’s face. It was a clear hint that throughout the show we forgot about.

The commercial for the yogurt "Yo' Magic" with the slogan "Eat Yo' Magic" and the guy wasting away on the island. Sounds kind of like a hint that Wanda's magic is being 'eaten' or drained.
Omg yes!! I never understood what that commercial was about, that explanation makes sense
i was wondering what that was, always thought it was about the avengers because every other commercial was about the avengers
I thought it was about how the people were frozen on the outskirts of Westview and were starving to death because they’re technically still alive
Agatha’s first words to Wanda are “Charmed” - a sitcom... about a witch.

ikr even skipping a minute could ruin the entire episode
The reveal was a surprise because it was so easy to just blame everything on a grieving Wanda... And thinking Agnes was just Wanda's subconscious trying to guide her...
I have noticed that the temporarily freed townspeople say "she" and "her," without specifying who the woman hurting them is, except Agnes, who refers to Wanda as the perpetrator. Yes, Monica believes it's all Wanda, but she's mistaken. Because the people weren't specific, I felt that it was a planned misdirection/assumption.
But Agnes literally says Wanda altered all the reality and placed the townsfolk under mind control. I feel there’s a very slim chance Agnes became something of a magical police force and sense a powerful magical force. So she went in to investigate if this is a malicious force she needs to absorb, and thus depower, or if Wanda can be a good force and she can let her go
@@CaulkMongler you were kind of right

One more Easter Egg not mentioned: Agatha’s home is literally the house from Bewitched. So, a house a witch would live in.

Good eye. Wow. Notice that Lavender she sprayed on the babies is the color of her power puff. You cant see the color, but she calls it lavender by name.

Did anyone else notice the mailman?
When Sparky was “missing”, he mentions that Wanda won’t let Sparky get far, letting on that he knows that she is somehow in charge.
Then, in the 7th episode, when Agatha walks over to comfort Wanda from Monica, the mailman was there as well, and he begins following them. Yes he could have just been delivering mail, but, I think he may be important in a later episode.
Please don’t hate me if this theory is wrong.
What if it’s her husband Ralph who is actually mephisto? That would explain why he’s never around
The mailman also appeared on Woo's board in Episode 5 when he brings the coffee in and hands the cup to Darcy.. if you watch in slow pay or keep pausing you will notice that although it has his picture and his ID(it was too blurry for me to catch what that had on it) but you can see that the paper clearly says his name is 'Dottie' and that his gender is female?? Not sure what to make of that since Dottie's picture is not on the board.
I am thinking the Mailman is Doctor Strange undercover.
Mailman could be mephisto?
All episodes have been released. He hasn’t had anything to do with it. But it was a good theory
The twins were aging fast before Agnes sprayed them with perfume. Remember that Wanda's pregnancy was extremely short.
But there's a scene when Vision and Wanda are doing the magic show in episode two, Agatha did something with her magic (as shown in the Agatha All Along song). She probably caused the pregnancy in the first place...
@@vestieee5098 I think Wanda would have had to have birthed them because why would Agatha be giving her hints to have a kid if she could just make her have a kid in the first place.
@@LaptapGamer Wanda did birth them, but Agatha is the reason they became pregnant. Agatha was planting seeds in Wanda's mind so she got excited about the idea of having a kid, and considering the fact that Wanda knew how powerful her magic was, she probably just assumed that her own magic created the kid that she wanted.
Well, it'd be wrong to say that i was surprised by her reveal. But I didn't believe her to be controlling every chaos. I couldn't think she was so poweful.
Agatha singlehandedly defeated fantastic 4 few villains while babysitting.
She was the master/teacher of Scarlett witch in the comics. If anything she is overpowered. But in WandaVision we haven’t seen what kind of damage she’s capable of. She’s just been playing mind games.

There are so many clues to Agatha's leverage... Just re-watched the first episode. "Agnes" tells Wanda that she'd like to "pre-heat the oven" for her, i.e. preparing her for getting pregnant. There's an abundance of ambiguous lines in the series. The writing is excellent.
"Three witches" is also a thing beyond the Norns. Greek mythology has the Three Fates and the Three Furies. And Macbeth has the three Weird Sisters who promise Macbeth the throne.
Shakespeare’s Macbeth opens with three witches concocting a potion. They are based on the Three Fates in Greek mythology, the Moirai, the equivalent of the Norse Nornir.

That's what I initially thought too -- it was to plant the REAL sitcom theme in her head.
Also, when Agatha touches down in the sidewalk and changes into the 50s version, she was in color. Background was B&W. Did she arrived AFTER the hex was created, then?
It’s a cicada, not a moth. Some cicadas live underground, emerging only after 13 or 17 years. Maybe Agatha has been waiting in her underground lair to emerge and cause havoc. If you’ve ever been around when they emerge, they’re everywhere, like a swarm of locusts, stuck to everything.
exactly.
And they make a lot of noise!
They also are know as reborn
@Karli Grové in order for that to happen one of them would actually have to be able to correctly identify The insect. Seriously, why is everyone calling it a moth or fly?
Funny enough, I group up in Texas and "locust" is what we called them. It wasn't until later in life that I learned what a locust actually was. Cicadas aren't harmful like locusts, and the birds and bats love them when they emerge. Their loud singing in the evening can be annoying to some people, as they are quite loud, but I always found the sound soothing. Reminded me of summer and camping with my family.
Random thoughts:
In episode one, Agatha mentions that “Many mouths make good gossip”, to which Wanda replies “You’re so naughty!”
In the comics, Agatha’s son is Nicolas SCRATCH. One of his abilities is mind control. So Señor Scratchy was not only a rabbit and the symbol of fertility, but perhaps symbolic of her own child.
I initially thought the bug in the episode was a fly, and it made me think of Beelzebub.

This makes me look at that dinner scene in episode 1 in a whole new light, could it have been Agatha and not Wanda that caused Vision's boss to start choking. They were asking some pretty pointed questions which caused Wanda and Vision to start thinking way too hard. Maybe the choking was a misdirect on Agatha's part to keep them from thinking too hard about those missing memories.
If I recall, he was choking on a chocolate covered strawberry, the only thing Wanda had in the kitchen when she first learned the boss was coming over. I wonder who left that there?

Funny thing : As soon as Agatha introduced herself, she said “Charmed”, which could be yet another reference to the concept of three witches (the 90’s show of the same name based on three witches). Very minuscule, but still cool as a fan of both shows.
“Agatha All Along” is in “The Munsters” font.

It’s basically the Munsters theme with lyrics. I think the way it tells the story bluntly also reminds me of “Look Away” from the Lemony Snicketts show.

I knew it was coming, but the way it was revealed - combined with the song that is still stuck in my head - was really well done!
"The Book is emanating a Red energy" Shows a book emanating a distinctly Orange energy. Guessing the book is an access point to the Soulstone, just like Vision is an access point to the Mindstone, Wanda an access point to the Realitystone, and Agnes herself is an access point to the Powerstone. If the blue coloration of Photon's power isn't an accident, she's likely an access point to the Spacestone. Leaving only the Timestone in order to access the power of creation. My theory is that Agatha is trying to get Doctor Strange into the Hex so she can use his power to open a portal into the Multiverse (or some other nefarious purpose)
Interesting, but how could Agatha have predicted Monica would a. go through the barrier again and again and b. would get powers from doing so?
@@julesbedard6046 Maybe it was a spell to bring the stones power together, without knowing the sources.
My theory was that--as cornerstones of creation--the infinity stones can't truly be destroyed. Since Thanos snapped them away, the power of the stones was dispersed and is now collecting in the nearest receptacles (Wanda for reality, Vision for mind, etc. and perhaps driving them to create/collect other receptacles. I had thought the kids were soul, but maybe not....
You also have past-Loki (who was taught magic by Frigga btw) who picked up and escaped with the Tesseract (Space Stone), keeping the branching timelines open, where the Infinity Stones still exist.
Legitimately good theory. Wouldn’t be surprised if this was basically spot on since Wanda is supposed to be connected to the doctor strange sequel.

I can not count how many times over the years I have quoted and/or envisioned that Mrs Doubtfire clip "THE WHOLE TIME?!"... while Agnes was a bit obvious and I saw her coming a mile away, it's still funny to see this clip showing up in 2021 :D
The details in this is absolutely fantastic.
It's not a moth; it's a cicada. A symbol of rebirth.
When Agatha is sitting on the couch telling the camera "I actually did bite a kid once", there's hexagons on her curtains, and you can see a spade design on the back of the chair. Call a spade a spade!!
Why did you put Brad Pitt on the “for the children” scene ???
Same. I stoped that part 200 times
Tyler Durden.
I played it back at .25 speed and was able to capture it.
"His name is Robert Paulson" = "Its for the children"

Where the episode 8 video at tho??
i saw this thing where it was like

"antagonist"
holy shit, why are these details so amazing
'Ag' of Agatha
'ness' of Harkness
= Agnes
@@shobu10 what. we're talking about completely different topic here.
That's a cool detail.
@@shobu10 yeah... that's exactly what.
Agnes keeps trying to find out from Wanda how she resurrects. First with Sparky and then with Faketro. She really needs to bring back someone from the dead or better yet, out from the dead realm. I assume this would be Mephisto.
Ralph? 😶
Did she actually resurrect Pietro

Brilliant theories!! On point
loving these insight videos
When you said three witches, my brain literally went straight to Macbeth
Double, double toil and trouble; Fire burn and caldron bubble!! Bwahaha 🤣 🤣
Beware the Ides of March!
So glad you’re highlighting the Wizard of Oz references.
How about these too?
Herb is the scarecrow Norm the lion and Vision the tin man?
But even better than that is my serious (yet crazy) theory that Dennis the mailman is this universe’s Wizard of Oz himself - there to watch over and protect everyone - he is the person who welcomes the couple to Westview in ep1’s opening credits and turned up in ep2, 5 & 7 - always when Agatha (the witch) is up to something.
Alas though, maybe like the Wiz himself, he doesn’t actually possess any real powers but simply calls himself magic anyway - see the Presto logo on his shirt in ep7.
Think how cool it would be for Dennis to be the one to help Wanda & Vision escape westview just like the Wizard does when he (SPOILERS) gives his balloon ride to Dorothy. Only Dennis might gift his UPS van to take Wanda over the rainbow.
Extra evidence.
The actor playing the Wizard of Oz is Frank Morgan - there is another actor called “Dennis” Morgan (no relation but his dad was called Frank - very tenuous i know)
But also lets not forget that the Wizard of Oz had an alter ego in the real world of Kansas and he was named....
Wait for it...
Professor MARVEL.
I rest my case.
You heard this from me first.
Reaching more than mr fantastic
I do believe Spooks I do I do somebody turns on the garden hose
Mr. Scratchy is Mephisto and he impregnated Wanda when Agatha gave it for the magic show
No
@@cassiolins1203 Wandavision would get pushed up to ma if wanda was r*ped by a devil cat in her sleep so no

The "yo magic" is a clue for how Agatha is draining wanda by forcing her to keep expanding her magic.

Your Mom 🤣
Robot chicken figurine image of fight club ? the 6 kids of Brangelina ? Well placed .
I appreciate the details in the show
Wow great detail with the lethargic intro reading! That’s definitely it! Agatha was siphoning off some power this whole time, probably in preparation to fight her.
It's a cicada, not a moth, not a fly... A CICADA on the curtain. Why are so many breakdown videos getting this wrong?? 🤔
Because they don't have cicadas where they live. Common error. But good eye!
Cicada's do not exist in a few states, although, not sure how many Moth's they have seen if they did not think it looked a bit weird.
lol I don’t even know what a cicada is I thought it was a fly...
@@scottkfilgo I live in a country with no cicadas, on a continent I also believe has no cicadas. I have no entomology or even biology training, and I knew it was a cicada. Even if you don't, how anyone would jump to 'moth' over 'fly' from looking at a thing with those wings is beyond me. Best guess is people desperately trying to make the connection they want to make, just like with the guy in the beekeeper suit and the number of times it was suggested he might be surrounded by flies. Why would a BEEkeeper be surrounded by flies?? *shrug*
I'm glad someone else saw the other video where they called it a fly. What kind of flies and moths have these people seen? Lol.
A lot of moths are almost indistinguishable from butterflies. Sees a black bug with wings. Yep a moth.
I feel like Agatha wanted Vision out of the picture, and knew he would die if he left the Hex. Vision complicates her plans.
without vision though with the idea she is draining her powers or just period, the plan and hex falls through and wanda would become unstable
Tyler Durden 4:56 hahaha nicely done
I think Agatha wanted wanda to expand the hex because as you can see with the house switching around it made her lose control of her reality, giving Agatha an opportunity to seize control and reveal her true identity.
The three figures on the broach could also be Hecate, goddess of witches
i genuinely believe a good plot twist doesn’t necessarily mean you don’t know who the villain is, you just need to be surprised of how or when they will become the villain
Yeah I totally agree, especially sometimes when movies/shows make someone a villain you’d never expect, it kinda drains the shock horror moment out of it for me
:-D I dig the Tyler Durdan appearance at 4:56! LOL
Yo, are you alive? Was looking forward to your post Wanda Vision episode tonight, and it's no where to be found. Hope you're alright. Your videos are fantastic, and I appreciate them greatly. It's the best thing to watch after every episode, it gives so much insight. Also, I need to be caught off guard by you finding my mom.
I like the "Kick-Ass" reference when they were trick or treating... because both Quicksilvers were in it.
Quicksilver is wearing the same neckless with every outfit like how Agnes wears the same brooch.
And Geraldine wore a SWORD necklace.
@@seofra8252 i mean monica is a SWORD agent so it makes sense
Great edit- Hi from New Zealand.
huh thought the 3 figure was Hecate, the 3 being the 3 forms of Hecate: the maiden, the mother, and the crone
Yeah, that's what I was thinking. We have all three as major players- Wanda started out the series a maiden, has become a mother and Agatha (at least in the comics) is a crone.
the bug on the blinds is a Cicada not a moth, I don't know what its meaning in the show is but it is definitely a Cicada
Reincarnation
Cicadas, for many, represent personal change, renewal, rebirth, and transformation. ... A lot of people use cicadas to symbolize their own personal transformation, in art, song, poetry, or even a tattoo. The cicada inherently symbolizes what they were (nymph) and all the glory of what they have become (adult form).
Cicada sheds skin, which might hint at Agatha's true face.
And Cicada does not live long, only 4-6 weeks of activity before they die. That might hint to Wanda living through the sitcom world rapidly while her power is being drained. But there is an expiry date to that, hence why her control slowly weakens. It also fits with the Yo-Magic commercial.
@@BrokenSoulConfession To say they don't live long is not exactly right. They lie in wait patiently underground for like 17 years.... until it is time for them to transform into their final form and take action! Seems even more appropriate this way! :D
@@GeeksmithingYeah, I meant when they are finally outside, for every eyes to see.
So, just like the broadcast. 😅
The staying underground for a long time likely hints at Agatha's lair.
I like to think the reason why we're just seeing a sitcom show, is because we're being mind controlled by Agatha as well...
That would actually be brilliant if it’s revealed that what we’ve been watching and seeing isn’t what was actually going on because we, the audience, were being mind controlled by Agatha as well. That would be sooooooo cool! Excellent idea!
Great job! Dog house looks very similar to Dorothy’s house in Wizard of Oz.
I read that the book Agatha has is from doctor strange, that scene where he is in a library with magical books but there’s a book missing, it could be that one that Agatha has.
A Supercarlin Brothers video pointed that out too! They showed the scene where he's in the library and there's a book missing. Could be the same one and Agatha had stolen it years ago.
