The seller community is so different than what you'd expect. Most everyone goes out of their way to help each other and it benefits everyone 👍
I sell on whatnot. Bidding prices depends on the popularity and how many people on your streams. I've sold premiums for a $1 sometimes. Also the same premium would sell for $10 on other streams. So it's a risk for sellers. That platform is great for buyers.
one thing I do when I am on whatnot is have my eBay to cross reference prices lol I have fallen victim to overpaying on cars too 😂
Whatnot is awesome. They originally had a regular tap-to-bid button, but they changed it to swipe b/c of complaints that it was too easy to inadvertently bid on something with a light tap when you’re just trying to navigate the app or holding your phone.

I fell into that giveaway issue myself. I think I was driving home and entering giveaways while at a stoplight. Didn’t even realize I had won almost back to back prizes. I did say thank you to the second win, but had no idea on the previous win. Prizes were random premiums, but I was sent 2 fantasy mainlines. 😬
I kept seeing you pop up in the shows I was watching & I kept saying “what’s up dieca$h” 😂

I too took part in the Lamley Purge and got a sticker. Not a SIGNED sticker but I'm sure he touched it. 🤣 I've done business with Colorado Diecast and had a good experience there too. I expect more guidelines to be implemented as this platform takes off. Then eBay will snatch them up and we're back to paying too much in fees. BUT for now, it's awesome.

@@DieCashCars I know that’s why I just go and watch. But if a good deal comes by I will swipe. Honestly going to small channels is where the deals can be found because not as many competition for bids
It’s crazy. Diecast dad has the biggest hype which is fine. But you do find bidding wars like crazy on whatnot on cars that sell for way less. Great app for finding stuff that you can’t get on eBay for a good price. But also scalper prices on those who jack the prices up.
What I think is funny is seeing a vid go for 30 dollars on a car that the same seller has in their shop as a bin for 20 bucks. Very easy to get caught up 😅

What not can be a useful tool for picking up diecast but it can also be very addictive. Turns into impulse buys. At the end of day you end up sending way too much ( Quantity) on cars.
Tried also to contact Whatnot Customer Service to show them screen shots of the card # being declined but the system seems not to get the picture of the screen shots
Honestly, they are supposed to send you the giveaway no matter what! It's against TOS to not send you something. I might know who it was. That happened to me before in a certain stream. I reported them and never went back.
I can’t stand sellers who crap on people for winning giveaways. I have spent alot of time on whatnot and I have seen some brain dead stuff. Also according to whatnot TOS a seller can’t deny a giveaway winner the prize. Also it says the giveaways winner doesn’t have to do anything extra to claim the prize.
Wanted to buy stuff from WhatNot with a Visa debit card ,but when I entered the card information the automated system said my card was declined
I also tried a pre-paid "Vanilla " card with the same results (before even trying to purchase any cars, when entering the card info the system said the card is declined)
When I first tried the Visa debit card, the system something like this card cannot be used for purchases, then when I tried again (after trying to become a verified (?) buyer thinking that's will enable my using the debt card,the system said my card was declined)
Saw on Reddit that other people have issues with using a debit card on WhatNot so it's not my imagination
Disclaimer: that giveaway situation is not at all common on our platform. That’s just a poor example of a streamer and completely against the rules for us streamers. I’m so tired of the giveaways being such a big deal, it’s called a giveaway. The streamer can set up purchase only giveaways or don’t sale if you gonna complain about people winning. I won 2 and bought on one streamer and he sent me 1 giveaway only. Made all kinds of excuses too as to why I got one and not both. Whatnot can be toxic so find your community and stick with it.
That's bitchy from the guy that banned you. They just want to make a big deal of that. If you´re giving away something, just do it.
