Yep, FAB is traditional Czech brand - founded in Rychnov nad Kneznou, Czech Republic in 1911. Unfortunately, now it became part of Assa Abloy.
im wondering if i could find some practice locks in their dumpster :P
just got into lockpicking, my grandpa had a box full of a bunch of fab stuff. im having alot of fun learning on them, though I havent been able to get any door cylinders open with spp.
Thanks a lot to Matus and Bosnianbill for this! I train on FABs and they bring frustration sometimes. I wished I could have a comparison to see how easy would those be for bosnianbill, I have it finally
Wow, I have not seen a FAB padlock in absolute years!! I have a FAB padlock and when I bought it, it had a little sticky label on it which said 'made in Czechoslovakia' on it.
Assa-Abloy, REALLY?!
I think the keyway on mine is different to this. I still have the lock and the original keys for it.
I bought it in a little hardware store in the late 1980s and I have never used it on anything. I bought it mainly for novelty value and I like the thick chunkiness of the key! :D
I never knew that they done euro-profile locks though. Interesting!
Thanx for showing,

BoomBoxDeluxe Let's say FAB is a traditional locks producer or brand over here (Czech Rep.)... One of the better brands you can get here and I believe there was some acquisition in the past by assa abloy.
Nicely done, great picking as always Bill.
haha good luck on that 14 pinner! :)
did you ever get an open on the 14 pin lock or was it just too much for the great and powerful bill?
Jake Phelps never mind. i see that i doubted you too soon. you really are the great and powerful bill
Great control and knowledge. Enjoyed this (y)
It's probably F.A.B. and not Fab. They are a Czech-based company, and like everyone else in the ASSA ABLOY group they probably have integrated some kind of slider into their locks (they seem to have this love affair with sliders).
:) No problem. I can send you some another locks too
Slovakia or czech? Send him kaba 8. I was allways wondering how this key is designed when i was in switzerland
Patrik Hatas Slovakia
+Dee Codz Czech Rep. !!!!
THE KRAKEN!!!!
nice work as always.
Great Video Bill and lovely Video at the end vary Cool. :D N.
What about the Peterson automotive hook?
I don't think its that long...video throws the actual size off.
Nice waterfall.
