    1.charge of nucleus =positive.
    Charge of atom=neutral
2.Rutherford's conclusions from the alpha particles scattering experiment were:-
•The positive charge occupies very little space inside an atom.
•the nucleus is much smaller than the size of an atom.
3.No,according to me there are no drawbacks but during this experiment neutrons were not yet discovered.

      no,
rutherfords model of an atom - failed to explain the stability of atoms
The drawback of Rutherford model is:
It can't explain the stability of an atom. As per the model, the orbital revolution of electrons around the nucleus is not stable as the revolving electrons in orbits will undergo acceleration and emit energy. This will result in loss of energy of electrons and they will ultimately fall into the nucleus. ~ fromtoppr

    1. Nucleus is positively charged.
Protons and neutrons are present in a nucleus, as protons are positively charged and neutrons have no charge, it is positive.
Atom is electrically neutral. Because, protons and electrons are equal in magnitude but opposite in charge so they neutralize each other.
    2. Most of the space inside an atom is empty.
The positive charge of the atom occupies very little space.
The positive charge and mass of an atom is concentrated in a small space within the atom.
    3. Yes
Rutherford said that the electrons revolve around orbits. If they do then they are in uniform circular motion. Anything in this motion, moves with acceleration. If it accelerates then it must radiate energy. If electrons radiate energy then it would be drained of all its charge and finally fall into the nucleus of the atom.
This would mean that atom is unstable. And if it was then matter would not have existed in the way we know it does. But we know that matter is stable. So, Rutherford couldn't explain the answer to this.
    Hope this helped.

    1. The nucleus is positively charged and an atom is electrically neutral because protons and electrons has equal magnitude but opposite charges, so when they come in contact they neutralise each other.
    2. Electrons revolve around the nucleus in circular paths.
The size of the nucleus is small compared to the size of the atom.
There is a positively charged centre known as the nucleus.
    3. Yes
According to Rutherford's model electrons move in circular or spiral paths .Which means that they posses circular motion. And anything that possess circular motion moves with acceleration. if it accelerates that means it radiates energy. If electron radiates energy it would eventually get drained of all it's charges and then crush into the nucleus of the atom.
This would mean that atom is not stable and that Rutherford model does not approve the stability of atom. And if atom is unstable then matter which we know is stable won't have existed in the way we know it does. So, Rutherford couldn't explain this.
And also Sir you didn't talk about bohr's model of atom

    * Most of the space in atom is empty.
    * Space occupied by positively charge
    is very small.
    * Positively charge and mass of atom
Concentrate within an atom is very
    small
Q3: Drawback of Rutherford model is:
    * No explanation of electron stability ( when electron move in an circular path then it will release radiation of energy that will lead to decrease in energy and will finally electron becomes part of nucleus, from "-1" in charge "zero" )

    1. A nucleus is positively charged while an atom is electrically neutral.
Rutherford discovered that the size of the nucleus is relatively small compared to the size of the atom. He also discovered that the nucleus of the atom is found at the center of the atom.
Rutherford's experiment could not explain why the negatively charged electrons when not disappearing into the positively charged nucleus.
