@@RoadsideRescue That is unless someone loosens the bracket too much and it falls to the bottom of the door. Learned what that rattling in my door was today. FYI, if you are gonna get a wrap, vet the installer thoroughly. A bad wrap is the gift that keeps on giving.
I appreciate the video. I live in northeast Ohio (Cleveland) and our during our winters the entire van/cars get iced over and it got to the point where I could not open my driver door and I used a little too much force and broke the handle. And I hopped on CZcams and this is the first video I saw on how to replace it. Thanks again for the video!
So if I broke the handle on the side sliding door on a Ford transit 250 is it similar? Do I just need the actual handle part?? Has some of the hardware inside the door slipped down into it? The plastic snapped at both ends of the handle
I bought a 2016 Transit recently and soon after buying it the door handle fell off when opening the door. I had no idea there was supposed to be a screw holding it in place from the side. What kind of screw is it? Would it be possible to get a new screw? Thanks for the video!
Do I need to open up the inside door panel in order to fix this issue? My transit front passenger is having this issue. What is the replacement part number so I can order one?
Did you have to take off the interior door panel? The handle replacement didn't appear to need the interior panel taken off but ag the end of the video the panel was off.
@@joshsnowman679no, I had to stick my hand inside from the inside after removing the panel and use my hand to hold this little thing while sticking the handle into the release mechanism. Was a little tricky didn’t take to long time.
Is it necessary to remove the door panel?
no. That was for something else

Same my doore also got frozen shut thank you for the videos
Exactly what I just did here in Wyoming. Ha
You are the only one that showed me how to remove the door handle in 15 searches thank you
Thank u
Does the door panel have to come off? I already took mine off because normally that's a requirement.
Very easy, it only took a minute or so to replace. Better than paying the Ford dealer to do it.
...... and it would've taken two months to get an appointment and you'd have to leave it all day!
Just got approved here at ford for the handle and reinforcement which requires the panel to be taken off but still. Calls for 2.5💀
Merci

I’m not sure the size. But the dealership can definitely look it up for you.

No. And I don’t know on number. Just call the dealer they can find it.
Hi. What is the best way to disable outside back door handle so I can only open from inside ? Thanks
disconect the little rods. youl have to open the panel but that would do the trick. or use a child safety lock.
Can you give me the part number? Mine broke during the minus five temperatures

He said elsewhere it was removed for another purpose. I'm sure you've figured it out by now though 😂
Do you have a video on how to do the same for the sliding door handle???
Did you find one
@@Dorkhammer no, but I did fix it by myself
Was it the same way as the video?

Is that could be replaced under warranty? My transit is at 38 000km and less than 2 years :-o
What side was the torx bit?
