I hear this all the time. I tell them that will show them how to grow their own food. The time to learn is when you can go to the grocery store if you have a crop failure.
Unfortunately many people will learn the hard way. My youngest nephew is 8. He has his own gardening tools and a water can. My granddaughter will be three in November. Her mom already has given me the green light to get her into the garden next spring 🌱.
