When to plant them in zone 6a? Thanks đđŒđđŒ
I plant seed potatoes in grow bags every year now. My grandsons harvest them and itâs like an Easter egg hunt. They love it! Thanks for another great video!
didnt realize you could plant them that close together. Thanks!
Potato will be small in size when planted too close to each other
I didnât think I could love Tuck any more then I see him eating my favorite vegetable! â€â€â€â€ Tuck!!
Love to see little Tuck enjoying the harvest! đâ€â€â€â€â€
Nice. I did an experiment last year where I went even lazier. I placed cardboard on the ground, started setting potatoes down and covered with dirt and adding more dirt as the season progressed. It worked !
I live in the windy western desert of NV. I have some bags like plastic grocery bags I am no longer using as they are worn or the handles are off. Maybe I will try that. Thankyou for all the ideas.
@@michelleharrell8452 As the plastic breaks down you may get microplastics in your soil. make sure you peel any root veggies so you dont eat the plastic!
@@allysonvollmer7223 Thankyou.
@@michelleharrell8452use wood or bury them in your soil. If health is a priority Iâd minimize Plastics in the garden where I could. And with root vegetables especially I wouldnât put them in plastics. But who knows how bad it actually is, I just say donât if you donât have to.
@@markislivingdeliberately Ok thanks for the info.
I love ALL The Gardening Channel With James Prigioni videos!
Strange how no matter what these guys in the videos do, it not only works, but as time goes by better and better ways of doing it appear seemingly without end.
Don't know what but there's something about that garden that I love
My box is ready, and the seed potatoes were just delivered. So excited to save on space with this new method. Thanks James!
Thanks for the great information James. Tuck always looks so happy. â€
WOW that was spaced close!, I am trying this year in bags.
The Asparagus bandit is cute , give him a Pardon !!!!!
He likes asparagus!
He's into eating healthy.
All good!
Tuck must be the healthiest dog around, started spuds in grow bags just 4 for starters will see how it grows â€â€â€
Waiting for weather to allow. Thank you James. Love your channel and of course King Tuck. Your asparagus are too tempting to pass up.
â€â€â€ for Tuck the young king, the little boss. Thanks for the info.
I really loved your interview with the MI Gardner. This is the first time Iâve ever commented on any site because I usually watch on TV but I had to get on my phone and say great job. Iâm impressed with both of you.
I watch both channels. Love them both. In addition I watch epic gardening, Jacques in the garden , Huw Richard's and Charles Dowding Migardener which are not necessarily in my zone and some others a little,, but therea wealth of information that can be applied to other zones. I enjoy their wealth of knowledge and experience that I can learn from.
Kisses for Tuck!!! Love the potato planting method, I'm going to try it!
Can't wait to try this. Thanks James. Love little Tuck. So cute!â€â€â€
It makes my heart happy to see how you treat sweet Tucker â€â€. He is in good hands with you!! I love to see Tucker eating vegetables, and James, thank you very much for your channel. It`s very educational. Regards from a danish peruvian .
â€â€â€â€â€â€â€Tucks. Awesome way to plant potatoes. I have a small yard. I will have to try that method.
Love that you share your life qith with Tuck. I do red potatoes in fabric grow bags as well as pots. Works pretty darn good.
Hey Tuck! I was able to sit for another little Tucker...yep that is his name. I enjoyed every minute with him and the week went by way too fast. â€â€â€â€â€
đ„°â€â€â€ for Tuck! Thanks for guarding the garden and helping James with a fantastic and inspiring food forest!. I am waiting for my onion bed to finish so I can break it down and narrow it (from and 8' x 4' to 8' x 2'). Now I am thinking to cut the 4 foot board into thirds and reduce the width even further. Thanks James for showing your success with the potatoes with the "edge" planting. That gave me great insight!
Jx
Seeing the lush plantations felt very inspired and wanted to garden too
Thank you James for the great information you share with us. Tuck, is amazing harvesting his own vegetables â€â€â€â€
Awesome way to plant potatoes!â€ïž. I planted potatoes once using the hilling method. It was a pain to harvest them. If I do potatoes again, I will definitely use your new method. Thanks James and Tuckâ€â€
â€â€â€â€â€love for Tuck. Have 2 yorkies

This is a genius idea for growing potatoes. Thanks for Sharing!
â€â€â€â€ Beautiful to see how effortlessly you harvested them.
Looks like I know what I am adding to the garden next year!!

â€â€â€â€ for Tuck and another great video!
You have no idea how much this is going to help me! đ
We're excited to try this method to grow potatoes as we love our potatoes. Thank you James and Tuck!!! We love you both and watching Tuck eat his veggies just makes us grin ear to ear đ„°â€đ¶
We always did the same thing with three stacked tires. When fully produced pull the tires apart and just pick the potatoes up.
You are a brilliant gardener đ
Love love Tucker And I had yorkie that looked tucker. I love watching him , and you I just got one of your raised bed. Next is putting it together
Always love your videos!!!!

I love seeing Tuck in the videos. Cause I have a Yorkie too and they look alike.
â€â€â€â€â€â€â€ for Tuck!
Tuck is so cute and he loves his garden â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
You have to be fast with cherries, the birds will eat all of them before you even realize they are ready. Lolđ
you should build a Tuck garden lol just for him
That's a great idea!
@@jamesprigioni filled with many asparagus varieties and all the foods he loves!
Awesome video and results. I'll take your advise and do the same this month. Thanks. Greatly appreciated.
Tucks makes Videos a pleasure to watch. Itâs incredible how he can eat veggies love him so.â€â€â€
I need âA Day in Tucks lifeâ POV with a voice over from his perspective like those funny animal videos đ Tucks gonna be like âman those guys are running around my garden again. told them so many times not to disturb me when Iâm working. *munch munch* those carrots are good. just a bit more crunch next time. gotta give them a bit fertilizer. need to check the peas now.â
Those potatoes were huge and beautiful. Awesome harvest!
â€â€â€ for Tuck!
Listening to your excitement gets me excited to planting again this year. Thank you so much for your videos. You have helped me so much.
â€â€â€â€for the King!
I did my potatoes the usual hard way this year, maybe I'll do mine in a couple of these next year! Watching all of these good results from tighter plant spacing makes me want to try some of these techniques! I love the lush look of a space covered in green for several months! My furry friend of Tuck's is one of the reasons I have to put a fence around my asparagus bed!
Tuck loves asparagus lol heâs hilarious â€
Came here for the gardening info, stayed for Tuck! I just love to see him cronching on fresh veggies - idk why that's so cute to me!
Tuck Tuck Tuck more more more ! ! !
it's called permaculture (a no dig method). Quite popular here in the UK
I like this idea. I'm piecing together other things you show in several trellis vids. Tuck is a cutie!
Good morning my friend â€
I was prego in 1989đ i was 16 years old after watching the interview i feel so proud of you and your beautiful food foest!!! A genuine person thats the truth đ
Damn, girl⊠1989??
đđđyou and tuck!!
â€Tuck†thanks for teaching us how to grow so much food!
You make planting potatoes look so easy. Love your tips and love Tuck, even though he is an asparagus thief. I had a mini schnauzer who did the same thing to my string beans. They know whatâs good.
â€â€â€â€â€ looks just like my Brutus. Thanks for the hints on potatoes.
Love the narrow bed. The potatoes looked great. â€â€â€â€â€
Great technique, thanks James â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€ Tuck.
Oh wow, Tuck is eating the asparagus babies. đ
â€â€â€ for Tuck and all.
Thanks for the gardening hints for growing potatoes & other plants. †Love seeing Tuck also. Am sharing your video on Gab.
Thank you !
Great method. Love the little king Tuck. â€â€â€â€â€â€â€â€
â€â€â€ Love the little guy!!! Awesome information!
You are one of my new favorite channels. I am all about food storage but haven't gotten into growing it yet (though I've wanted to for years) and you have given me new hope that I can.
Thank you so much, I learn a lot from you! â€ïžâ€ïžâ€ïž to Tuck. Greetings from Sweden
Tuckâ€â€â€â€â€ Finally doing my first raised garden this year. So excited.
Tuck is a good bro!
Love the idea of the bed size for potatoes
Watching your videos has encouraged me to expand my garden and my fruit and vegetable selections! Thanks James and Tuck
Thats a super good way to keep animals out too. I think you can just use hay instead of soil. It looks clean and the plants are beautiful. Ive seen people do it in burlap sacks or laundry baskets. Definitely ideas. Thank you!
Very interesting. Love Tukâ„ïž
â€â€â€love you Tuckâ€â€â€
I love your garden! I love Tuck too. đâ€
Tuck is good boy â€â€â€. Thanks for the video
We â„ Tuck, lets go!
I think you need to plant and grow much more varieties of asparagus for Tuck and you and more :~)
Thanks for telling us about great ways to grow potatoes! Best
Love Tuck!! Heâs precious and a healthy eater.

We are always in awe & jealous lol..we live in a zone 4b with gumbo for our ground and snowing as I write!đ€Łđ€Ł But 7 years later, we are succeeding! Again, keep up the great work!
