I am 60 yrs old and times have really changed as far as finding a new mate. I think texting as far as trying to find someone. I think it is very impersonal. Hearing someone's voice is a lot more personal than texting.

A while ago, I was fascinated by looking at how I miscommunicated as a young adult, and that inevitably put the focus on ghosting. I believe that ghosting has affected a disproportionately huge group of people, and an additional mistake in such a situation is to try to reach some closure past any communication or infer malice. As far as anyone knows, a person may have stopped texting you simply because they don't know what to say anymore, because you have exhausted their endurance or worn out their patience, or because they realized too late that they may have caused offense and don't know how to fix it.
In actuality, all forms of texting, no matter how promising or pleasant at first, eventually terminate at ghosting, depending on whether either of you drags it out ad infinitum, lacks a concrete plan on how to progress in real life, or gets caught between the cogwheels of finite resources, such as time and energy, in the face of the growing complexity of your texting history. The best advice thus is to keep your contribution light and fun while focusing on your compatibility in the real world.
This advice is so informative and I guess you can use these lines in person? I am really bad in using open ended questions. .. you look amazing with your long hair!

I did notice that she had blocked me without giving a single answer. However, after I gave her some space, I noticed that she unblocked me again. But the past situation has made it difficult for me. FIRST… don’t express your feelings in the first series of texts… EVER. Just be casual. SECOND, remember that a couple of texts back and forth are fine, but the phone is for setting up dates. You can ask her out to coffee (once again be casual) or say “Hey, I’m going to check out that new restaurant or xyz event on Saturday and was wondering if you want to join me?” THIRD… If she says no, don’t sweat it… say something like “No worries… but I think you’re crazy to pass up free food.” Just be playful and confident and DO NOT pester her. FOURTH… The vast majority of women are attracted to fun, confident men with interesting stuff going on. Your only job is to be awesome (get in top shape, study how to be a magnet for women, improve your style, go out with friends, etc). If a girl likes you, she will move mountains. Good luck buddy.
