Once again, this is the type of attitude that give vegan and Vegetarians a bad name. You're not supposed to force people to change.
Educate, appeal and provide:
Educate people on animal cruelty, and show them health benefits of not eating meat
Appeal to the crowd by showing them verified sources from a nutritionist/physician and peer reviewed journals, etc.
Provide them with reassurance that the change doesn't have to be immediate.
Plus if it were for slaughter, the truck would be bigger, if anything it's probably going to a veterinarian or being transported to a farm or a recovery sanctuary.
@uh I don't think opening fire on bystanders is ever an appropriate solution. rather starting real conversations and learning to empathize with those around us is a step in the good direction

The way the calves ran and hopped when they got out of the vehicle was the cutest. They knew their life was going to be better.

All animals have that capacity, well maybe not reptiles - they don't play. Animals have emotions & feelings. You just have to be around them more and keep your eyes open. For farm animals, it comes out when they have the freedom & opportunity to play.

Did you know cows respond really well to music. Even just a person singing.
Factory farming cow cast offs always hit me hard.... Cows can recognize their baby's cries and get distressed when they can't find them. Babies look for their mamas. Incredibly heartbreaking.

I was just curious why somebody would come onto a channel that is promoting kindness and compassion toward animals and then sound so unsympathetic and cold toward them, but maybe that's your thing- to try to get a rise. A Bailey , it happened for me when I was sitting at a red light and next to me was a cattle trailer and there was one little square opening other than the metal mesh that covered the rest of the crowded trailer and out of it poked the head of a calf . The look of panic and unhappiness in his eye punched me in the gut. Never again will I eat the dead flesh of animals

My grandmother used to have a cow that was sold after my grandma's demise. The cow used to love her in an unprecedented ways. But after after she was sold she didn't eat anything & used to shed tears. Cows are pretty passionate about their owners

It is heart wrenching to learn of the dairy industries practice of not keeping the males. This man and all those who have the huge hearts to foster and adopt are truly angels!
Its because males dont pay themselfs, there is no finantial incentive to keep then untilvthe end of the lactation.
The adult males are brutish and not so cute as the adult cows. When they go into heat the hormones drive them to new heights of aggression. They'll gore the man that raised from from birth.
Crescendyr - oh snap! I hope they don't do that to the boy or his mom! When I watched this I was wondering if they'll adopt female cows to give them company when they're older. Unless there's some kind of treatment like they do for cats or dogs, etc.

@S it doesn't always happen like that. My family has a bull cow raised from near birth,no aggressiveness. He's not been fixed yet,but that might help aggressive bulls. Many bulls aren't aggressive unless provoked or ladies are involved. Many rescue organizations have bulls.
