    For me, I think the intent of eBikes are for a more enjoyable exercise. All these reviews/videos, no one is pedaling or talking about it. and that’s why I think so many people dislike them on trails.

    You guys in America are so fortunate to have such a wide range of ebikes including the Wired Freedom to buy, because the rest of us in Europe are unable to buy these ebikes due to shipping restrictions limited to US and Canada only! I heard a guy in the UK talking about the speed limit being a problem too. I forgot what he said the maximum allowed speed was but it was something crazy like 25.5 kph. Some of these e-bikes like (especially) this one go much faster. So sorry to hear about these crazy restrictions.

    • @princeD1100
      @princeD1100 Před rokem +2

      @@ChristmasEve777 You are correct. Ebikes are legal if the power assist is only active up to 15 mph, and beyond that speed the power assist has to switch off. So you can ride faster than 15 mph by pedal power only! It's a damn stupid law and it needs to be challenged!

      IMO. Guys are missing the whole point of the e-bike intention. It's meant for a leisurely quiet ride through nature and its surroundings. Not meant to be speeding down the street or over bumps and hills like some maniac in heat. If you want that kind of excitement, buy a motorcycle. Sooner or later because everybody's buying these illegal bikes, they're going to ruin it for the rest of the people that are buying these e-bikes for their original purpose. They're going to be making us buy insurance registrations and special e-bike licensees with age limits. Too many people are getting hurt or killed because of the adolescent speed mentality of law breakers.

    Great riding video!! Took my Freedom to my local bike store to have them check it out and they were blown away by the quality of construction and it’s 60v system. They could not believe it was only $2000. The bike shop was selling a weak ass 500w 48v rear hub for $1499. Btw, the grips are one of my favorite parts of the bike, I wouldn’t have noticed the slight protrusion if you hadn’t mentioned it.

    Yes "ups" sucks they sent me texts every single day for almost 2 weeks saying it's arriving today , so I went to my downtown office after a week to investigate . My guy I go to all the time tracked it himself and said that it had arrived in my city twice and now it's in Colorado (wtf) . When it finally arrived 10 days after first notification the box had been opened all the way up and taped closed . I believe that they smashed it because the plastic that is used for protecting the the axle was so far crammed into the quick release holes that I had to literally drill them out . I also had some deep scratches and the tail light bracket was crooked so when I tried to slightly straighten it , it broke off . My derailleur protector was smashed all the way against the derailleur . Thank God nothing major was wrong with it and I fixed all the issues along with fabricating my own rear tail light bracket . I too seen the videos of this kid bad mouthing the owner which gave me some concern especially when he went on about the motor issues . So far I'm pleased with the bike , love the take off power cause I'm at 250 lbs. and my Himmway Cruiser just seemed to take all day to get up to 28 even with a KD718 display .

    Does not look to me the e-bike was damaged in shipping . The box was in excellent condition. Double boxed. You should easily be able to dump the box upside down with no damage to that rack. Would take huge pressure to bend that. issues i saw with packing is there should have been around 3 inches of foam material . Across the whole top of the inside box. Where the derailer is there should also have been a solid 2 inches of foam on the sides . Check out how juiced bikes packs there e-bikes. No damage at all. This wired ebike uses 2 boxes but seriously lacks protective foam layers on the inside. 3 inches on top and 2 inches on the sides. There would be no damage. Odd though , the packing box was in great shape. Some of the damage looks wired related and not the shipping .

    I'm thinking about purchasing a Wired Freedom, but I'm wondering about ghost peddling.
    I almost never ride my current ebike like a moped (throttle only). I like to utilize PAS. As such, I'm wondering if the gearing on the Freedom allows for higher speeds (35-40 mph range) while utilizing PAS and *WITHOUT* ghost peddling.
    Can you address this for me. I'd appreciate it very much!
