Awesome review.
FWIW I towed a 7700lb gross rating travel trailer with a F-150 4x4 that I had done modifications to including air bags in the rear and improved brakes. In good weather and in less than mountainous terrain it worked (for reference I live in the Atlanta area). Windy conditions or long ascents/descents could be problematic.
When it came time to put that rig out to pasture I made a point of getting a 3/4 ton just to give me the margin I felt I needed as we start doing more camping in the Appalachians and out west.
Of course your mileage may vary but I wanted to share my experience.
Thanks again, Josh!
Yeah it really depends on the specific truck in question. They're not all made equally as we all know!
Just bought one of these less than a month ago. Ours has a table and chairs instead of the dinette. I am quite happy with the entertainment to seating distance, feels comfortable. Fireplace keeps it warm down to approximately 35 degrees before gas heat is needed. Floor in slide is a bit flexible, standard dinette would help stabilize that. Josh's videos helped make our decision on this, he was just a bit too far away for us to buy there.
Cool!
wow THANK YOU for sharing this. Great owner input!
Mind dropping me a quick review at g.page/r/CdPcitNVx2nDEAg/review for the helpful videos?
Uncle Josh, I have always appreciated your work at giving us the best and honest opinions about, The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of all the RV's that you show us. If ever I can afford to buy a Camper, then I would most certainly drive all the way from South Alabama to Michigan to buy from you!! LA is what we call our home, Lower Alabama! LOL Thanks for teaching me all you have learned over the years! And, YES, we do appreciate you!!
lol - reminds me of what we call Florida
Around here we call it "South Michigan"
Love that dinette table, brilliant. Moving the kitchen back is a good idea, makes the whole TT less crowded. Nice bathroom and plenty of counter space. Good kitchen counter space is very cool. The second entry solves any road mode issues. I like the fact the slide is a rack and pinion system. Good looking TT and 3/4 ton to error on the safe side with no question. Battery disconnect needs a box over it to protect it. Jayco really makes a great looking and built RV.
12” to some guys! WOW you killing me Josh!
Had to see if I was the only one picking this funny line up...😂
@@AndrewWLugo That Josh is sneaky!
*ahem*
Excellent advice: pretend you're actually using the appliances to see if they fit. I like the color combination on this one, Josh. It does look nice and clean and separates the rooms.
Happy New Year my Friend! 🎉✨🎉
I wish you much joy and good health for 2024. ❤
So kind! You as well :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd thank you 😊💗
I really have to nitpick things I don't like.... this is an amazing RV. Biggest concern is that shower height. Great review!
TY Jeffrey!
This is classy and just refreshing looking yet super cozy. Awesome big couples trailer.
My complaint would be that this beautiful big camper only has 1250 lbs of cargo!
Fair. It is a bit light there..
Those handles that bit your ankle... Change them out for a low profile or recessed handle. And, while your at it, change out the lower cabinet handle across from the dinette. Then a drop down shelf can be installed to lift up and extend (WITH A FLUSH MOUNT PLEASE) the kitchen counter top.
I definitely prefer flush mount counter extensions myself. TY
I LOVE this trailer. This would be perfect for us. The U-shaped dinette gives us the ability to have our computer screens fade away from the inside for video conferencing. I love the NS bed and the DOOR in the bedroom. I often wonder how we’d get our old rearends out of an emergency window. The door is perfect for emergency and, as you said, Cracker Barrel camping. Love the closet in the bedroom, the TV/ fireplace in front of the theater seating, the kitchen, pantry, rear bath, and all those windows. I also like how light and bright it is inside.
I almost didn’t watch because thr floorplan didn’t show theater seating as an option. Glad I stayed with it. Not sure if I blinked and missed it but an instant hot water heater would be nice. That vent on the floor in front of the sink is a pain but I guess it would be a pain anywhere.
I want something smaller but this one is making me reconsider and I’d go someplace to learn how to drive something this big. We’d have to upgrade our tow vehicle though. We have to drive through some areas that can get crazy windy to get to some camping areas close by.
Hey Josh, have them flip the hinges on the bench doors so the ankle biting handles are away from sliding into the bench🤷
Sounds good to me!
I tow a travel trailer that is almost identical in size (minus a slightly less hitch weight) with a Toyota Tundra. I live around the Black Hills of South Dakota, so it is always really windy, and there is lots of elevation change. With the proper weight distribution hitch/sway control and payload capacity for your truck, I would say a 1/2 ton is totally doable. That being said, I wouldn't go more than 60-65 mph.
Great input. TY. This is helpful
Nice layout, but yikes! I see what you mean about those draw pulls. Horribly thought out. They really need some sort of recessed handle .
Hey Uncle Josh, I hope that you're having a great day! I really love the Jayco White Hawk 27RB! I like all the different White Hawk units! They always have great space and storage in them an on the outside! I like that this one give you the big u-shaped dinette plus the small cup holder TV trays for the theater seats! I was looking at the cabinets an that is a pin stripe, distressed is where the paint has a wire brush or a comb is dragged across it leaving lines in the paint where it looks worn. I use to paint multi-million dollar homes. I think Jayco is doing a amazing job on all their interiors! Thank you Uncle Josh for showing us this unit and giving us all the information good an bad! Your number one down an friend Leonard Nelson from North Carolina! #NERDHERD 100%!!!!!!!😎💪✌🤘🤘👍🐕🐕🐺🐒🐻💪💪✌🤘🖖😎😎
Very very nice layout. Similar to the Mallard M260 with King bed that we own. This fills the gaps that I don't like about ours. Love the little closet and drawers in bedroom. Only thing I would change is a smaller dinette with a larger couch.
I like the bigger couch idea actually
I agree about the battery plug could be raised up a bit higher. We have the 2020 version and I think I really prefer the farmhouse scheme better (which is what we have). It's still the most beautiful RV I've seen ... and I've seen many 🙂 Thank you for your video! We selected ours in 2020 because of your review... we are still in love with it!!
Thanks for sharing!
Hi Josh - This unit is very similar to our Jayco - which we tow with a 2021 Ram 1500, Our overall length is 53' (Trailer 33'), loaded hitched weight is 900 lbs and gross trailer weight is 7200 lbs. we carry very little in the truck and with full gas and just me and my wife in the truck our GCVW is 13,700. Our first season traveling in the prairies (we live in Canada) we were using a conventional sway control hitch and we fought sway constantly. Our second season we switched our hitch to the Hensley. Yes it was Expensive, However now that we have 2 seasons on it, I would pay double if needed. It was a total game changer. It does "Eliminate Sway" and if you look at your unit, your truck very expensive, your trailer very expensive. The Hensley (or Propride) hitch is the cheapest part of the setup and makes it much safer to tow. Traveling in high wind situations we are able safely to keep up with our friends in their Ram dually with a 35 ft fifth wheel.
Hensley/Pro Pride is an amazing system for sure!
Very nice Jayco Travel Trailer 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😊😊
This is a gorgeous! I just commented on a Jay Feather with similar floor plan and each recommendation is addressed here. Well done Jayco.
Awesome! Thank you!
Movie Theater dining seats???? YES!
be careful with your legs Josh; they hold you up!
I like these updates to one of my favorite layouts.
I have a Mathing degree from CZcams University and wanted you to know you CAN make one side longer than the other. It's called a Trapezoid.
I like my legs. They go from the ground to my butt lol :)
@@JoshtheRVNerd unless you do a headstand.
Happy New Year Josh hope you and family had a good one...thanks for all you do to help us
Happy new year!
First thing is that I like that dining table.
Good! I'm curious to see what people think after using them for a season
I tow a 2018 27RB with a 2020 1/2 ton Ram Limited Eco with no problem. It pulls better and smother than other RV's I've owned in the past. I know you say it is a couples RV, but we have 2 kids that travel with us with no issues. Having the restroom accessible when we travel is a must, and we can still use the kitchen with the slide in.
That's great TY!
Don’t care for the 1 foot step over for the shower… not good for us 70+ year young folks!
As someone who is disabled, I completely agree! I would love a nuilt-in grab bar to assist getting in/out of any RV shower!
Oh, deal breaker for me. I can step over it....... so far....
Or us 35 year olds when we're 2 sheets.
@@loganl7547 😂 😂 😂
We have a 22 WhiteHawk 27RB. Love the big Bathroom and open living space. Ours has the optional King bed which makes the bed room a bit tight would opt for queen now that we know that. I have an older Ford F-250 and a 2018 F150 4x4 equipped with the Max Tow Package. The F-150 handles the trailer fine but with the half ton you need to be mindful of cargo to make sure you stay comfortably within payload capacity. The 1/2 ton travels have been in the southeastern US (AL, GA, SC, & FL) Pulled it from east AL to Helen GA last week with no issues. One point to note is the 1/2 ton seems a bit “wiggly” on worn interstates (the ones where trucks have caused the lanes to have tire grooves)
Super handy info. I LOVE getting experience like this from actual owners
Josh, I think you do a great job. Enjoyed watching you for a very long time. Was thrilled when you joined up with bishs.
Really like the camper. Thanks for always being honest.
I appreciate that! I do my best. I won’t claim to get it all right but I sure try.
I purchased this in October last year, exact same setup. I pull with a 2009 Toyota Tundra and live in El Paso. I've pulled it up to 7k ft over Transcontinental mountain with no issues. Sway control 10k lb hitch, doesn't move at all. It's a great camper!
Love towing feedback like this from real owners! Thank you :)
Nice video, thanks Uncle Josh!
We were enjoying this one and loving every second of it until we saw the floor vents just as you were singing the "Saved Be the Bell" theme. Otherwise, stellar unit. We love the skylight. We love the windshield. The cubbies by the bed could be bigger than a little crack that would fit maybe a magazine in them. If we could design this one our way, in addition to those things we'd also upgrade the theater seat to have a retractable arm rest to ensure full cuddle compliance and, perhaps, replace the dinette with a desk/office space.
Edit: I've been told to also add, "but we love you just the way you are, Uncle Josh, because you don't have floor vents and you have a great `windshield' on top of your head".
We tow our 2021 27bhs Gulfstream Enlighten with our 2018 f250. When we originally purched our travel trailer, we towed with a 2020 Chevy Colorado. Technically, we were good to go with the weight of the trailer vs. the capacity of the Colorado. We quickly learned that just because it fits, it doesn't mean it should. Towing with the f250 is night and day easier all the way around. I don't see any reason to tow a travel trailer with anything smaller than a 3/4 ton truck. I completely agree when I hear from CZcamsrs like you and big truck big rv, when you strongly recommended a 3/4 minimum truck.
Yeah what is technically capable and what is comfortable aren't always the same thing
Love this!! Im not familiar with the little tables in the theater seating, im guessing those come out? They'd be in the way if you're just wanting to relax.
I have been waiting for an RV to check all my boxes and this one does:
HUGE bathroom with porcelain toilet,
U Dinette with free floating table,
Fireplace and in the bed room NO OVERHEAD cabinetry!!
Honestly the only drawback I see is the handles on the doors under the U dinette.
This is now on my list for me next home away from home.
The tray tables do come out. They essentially sit in the existing cup holders to make the tray. Easy in and out. They’re a JAYCO thing.
@@user-vz1ei2dx2e Awesome, thank you so much!!
Thank you for the stunt work, Josh.
lol
Nice beautiful unit . I tend to think a 3/4 ton truck is a must have for a unit this long I’m sure a 1/2 ton could handle it but might have a few too many tight knuckle moment in any kind of hilly areas or sudden wind gust. I too much prefer a standard table and chair and a couples camper. Most couples are past the age of needing additional sleeping areas and prefer they comfort and accessibility of a table and chair. No sliding in and out. All in all very nice trailer as usual uncle Josh, you did a fantastic job of showing the good the bad and the ugly. Thanks again for a great video. ❤
Yeah I agree. I know there are some technically capable ½ tons
But I think what's capable and what's comfortable aren't the same
Josh, I don’t know that I’ve ever heard you mention that “road mode” can also be important for “storage mode”. Having an rv with a cover on it and not having access to check on the bedroom can be a downside. Especially when there is a windshield that could be leaking that you can’t inspect. Just thought I’d bring that up for anyone that hasn’t thought that scenario through.
Now and then I've mentioned it but mostly as it relates to something like destination campers. You're spot on though. Lot of folks have their RVs in storage yards where they can't always open things up
Very nice layout. Nice enough that it could be our next trailer. Like another viewer stated though, I'd rather have a regular dinette. Maybe with a one or two post design. Thanks for another great review, Josh!
Try this one: czcams.com/video/pyiY6it8BgM/video.html
Similar layout. Normal dinette
you could for sure tow that with a 1/2 ton i towed 9000llb trailer that was 37ft with ram 1500. wind is not your friend tho and it is hard on the suspension but i did it for five years with no issues. we did not tow mountains or any crazy grades. so all depends on what you feel comfortable and defiantly do some research know your weights.
Love this floor plan! But, I would rather have a regular dinette. I'm not a fan of the u-dinette. Also, bigger tank sizes. And, not so sure about the big window over the bed, but the floor plan is great!
Nice unit. I would prefer pullout drawers on the dinette. The matching flooring is great and pet friendly! Pantry is very ) more closet space would be good for coats/utility space. Thank you for the power tower in the kitchen counter!
This one's 25RB little brother gets rid of the u-dinette! czcams.com/video/pyiY6it8BgM/video.html
That’s a nice travel trailer great job
Very nice layout, but too big for us (definitely sticking to lower half ton). JAYCO does good work. And your presentations are so helpful, Josh! We're still looking for a couples trailer with an (improvised?) office area, fit for ½tons.❤
Try something like the Cougar 22MLS
You can get it with a table/chair instead of a booth
I think you could easily swap in an office chair for one side of the table and set up shop there
I love RB floorplans. Id prefer the tv to be flat but its not a deal breaker.
VS angled toward the slide? TY
Yes I like it facing the theater seats.
Ha - you got bit by the handles on the dinette - Many Jayco owners wind up replacing those with rounded handles…
This is a GREAT travel trailer and great floorplan. The 25RB Feather is the little brother of this trailer and they share a lot of great features. Same bath and camp kitchen, same bedroom with exception of the closet the White Hawk gives with the angled entertainment center. If you have the budget, get the WH but if it’s not better enough than the Feather 25RB, you’ll be fine with the feather. If you’re handy you can install your own fireplace heater.
Wrt towing - we towed our little brother Feather 25RB (6059 lbs empty weight) with a 2013 F-150 Platinum 4x4 3.5 EcoBoost rated for 10,400 lbs. We upgraded to a F-250 within 6 mos. While the trailer was within 80% of the half-ton’s tow capacity, it was prone to get pushed around by 18 wheelers. So with that experience, I would NOT recommend trying the White Hawk 27RB with a half-ton. Which is why we wound up going with the Feather. If we had it to do over again, we’d have upgraded the truck and bought the White Hawk in the first place.
I’d probably replace those handles too
Josh I hoped you and your family had a great New Year.
I did! Hope yours was great as well :)
I tow a Jayco 28BHBE 2017 with a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 2.7. My trailer loaded for camping has weighted between 7540-7296 on a CAT scale(no fresh water). I have towed all over upper and lower Michigan. I feel very comfortable and confident in my setup, using the Reese Dual Cam hitch. The truck has plenty of power for climbing any grade in Michigan, but you’re not going to race with it. I have over 30years of towing experience with every from a 48’ semi trailers down to a 10’ utility trailer. I will say that an inexperienced person or a person not willing to purchase a high quality weight distribution and sway control system, should not tow this length with a 1/2 ton.
REALLY appreciate the insights. Thank you!
Nice trailer.
I don't like the way the water hookups are all aligned above the electrical inlet. A leak, backside more so that outside, has the potential of causing a short. I would think there is room to relocate them lower and to the left of the electrical inlet with the shower being there.
I couldn't tell but it would be nice if the living area skylight had a shade. In fact for many of us here in the South I think it would be mandatory.
With its length I would say a 3/4 ton even here in the flat land of the coastal plain. My 1/2 ton could handle the weight with ease but it is the length of the sidewalls and the amount of the frontal area that sits above the truck cab that are the issue. Even in moderate winds that is a lot of sail hanging out there for a 1/2 ton to try to handle.
1) Nice camper. Nice sized awning. Looks as if it could’ve been extended to the other side of the door and window. Entering under the awning would be really nice. Can’t get too much shade.
2) if you want more to do you could always do videos on your used campers. Like you said, it’s not like you have enough to do already 😂
3) I take it that only “true sizes” of mattresses will accommodate residential mattresses?
4) To answer your question, Sterns & Foster as the best. I’ll take cash or check 😂
Another great video. Get some rest.
Very excited, just bought one.😊
So PRETTY 😍
And yes lol, changing all the hardware on dinette and cabinets, ankle and hip biting...ouch, sticking out to far and very sharp. Havent used it yet. Keeping it at inside storage for a few months.
Towing it from Fla. to a lake in N.C, parking and leaving it on a permanent leased lot that Ive been on a waiting list for nine years, and just got called. So I had to buy quickly. I will visit on and off a few times a year, so it had to be a quality unit to withstand being alone in the element's. Never trailered before. 😮 very, very nervous. Currently have a beautiful 24ft Born Free motorhome Ford F450 which is a dream to drive, sitting at inside storage that I wouldnt park and leave lakeside permanently. The critters would have loved the engine compartment and would have destroyed it, and not starting the motor often would not have been a good idea at all.
Wish I could have bought from Bish's, but it was unfortunately too far away. But I belong to a lodge and I told so many of the members that live in your state that are snowbird's here, about your videos and Bish's. They all have RV's, so hopefully they will keep the dealership in mind.
Was looking for something that had everything I needed, and would last for many years parked at the lake, even in colder weather. I went out looking w confidence and knowledge about the different manufacturer's from all of your videos. A manager from one of the largest dealerships in the country was trying to put me into all of the one's he needed to move off the lot, and no Jayco's. I spent over six hours with a new, very nice salesman, he had no experience yet, his second day on the job, so two mgr's shadowed him. His mgr's not listening to any of my criteria. Just kept trying to persuade me to buy basically the complete opposite of what I was looking for. The salesman wasnt familiar w towing capabilities yet and asked me how I knew so much about GVWR'S, and about all the details on different travel trailers. I told him I worked for Chevrolet and other manufacturers in marketing and sales for commercial trucks and tow recovery vehicles, and that I currently owned a motorhome. But explained that it didnt help me very much with the travel trailer industry. I had to do extensive research. I told him about learning from you, and also wrote down your chanel for him to watch, and politely suggested he watch all of your videos for a crash course on RV's, so that he could be well informed for sales, since he was new to RV industry. I told him while extremely informative, your also a hoot to watch 😂. The salesman was really the nicest man, I was hoping to be his first sale, he thanked me for having so much patience over and over again throughout the day. I told him every salesman has had their first week on the job, myself included, and it can be extremely daunting and stressful. Again politely mentioning your chanel for training.😊 Unfortunately due to the mgr's many tall tales about quality of other manufacturer's, which I knew better from you, and great deception on pricing. I did not feel comfortable at all buying from this dealership. I had to give up after six hours in 90 degree heat in an uncovered golf cart, looking at trailers w no a/c running in any of the units on many acres of property, it was turning me into a cooked 🦞 😂
Love all of your videos, you make it so fun and your hysterical, absolutly my fave rv chanel. You have taught me "EVERYTHING" regarding travel trailers.
Thank you for all of your knowledge, Im sure doing these informative videos is alot of hard work, and is also very time consuming, considering you have a family and a full time job. You can tell you love your profession. I hope you realize how much you teach others on a daily basis that either have zero knowledge of travel trailers to experts looking to get info on the newest and best.
So thank you very, very much Josh. Happy trails. 😊
Wow.. that was a ride. TY for taking the time to share all of this
This would be perfect💥if there was an expandable theater seating option to take the place of the oversized uncomfortable 1960’s diner booth dinette that kinda ruins an otherwise awesome residential floorplan👍
It's so funny.. they used to offer a full slide super sofa. It was terribly unpopular. Now folks ask for it all the time. Guess they were just ahead of their time?
@@JoshtheRVNerd that's why I always emphasize "option" because there is a 50-50 split between people who love a dinette and those of us who don't, so I always try to commend any manufacturer who realizes that they can increase sales substantially if they offer both👍
Really like the White Hawk vibe. Wish they had smaller floor plans though.
That's where jay feather comes in but I think sometimes people like the swanky features with the smaller size. Cougar is good for that sometimes
Depending on your experience, we had a Rockwood 8329 Signature that was tongue to bumper 40 feet, we towed it with a short bed Ram 1500. No issues, but windy days kept it to 60-65.
Wow.. I’d be really curious about the capacities on that truck
@JoshtheRVNerd 5.7L gas, 8 speed auto. 10.6K towing, 1600 payload. Now I do have to admit hills dipped me into the 6mpg ranges. Dealership included a WD hitch, but come to find out it was under sized. As soon as I got a proper spec WD it was easy.
My Rockwood was a 2014,
Dry Weight: 7,399 lbs.
Payload Capacity:1,451 lbs.
Hitch Weight: 833 lbs
Wish I had 3/4 ton. This is the perfect size trailer for us. I already own a 1/2 ton and am not looking to change trucks anytime soon lol. Of course if I had a 3/4 ton I would probably be looking at 5th wheels…
lol funny how that works
Love the skylight! While I love the idea of a bigger bathroom by it being st the back, not crazy about the 3:00 a.m. walk the length of the trailer. (I'm sure I'd always forget to close ONE blind.. 😂) I know many don't like the "walk through" bathroom, I consider it like an "en suite".
12".....😂 😂 😂
Good storage capacity. Good of them to include dinofa trays while already having a dinette. Colours are perfect!
"The Dad bod toilet test". 😂
Nice lights in the living/dining space.
But no "road mode" trips to the bathroom, and that step into the shower, no go for me.
Hey.. its the neighbor's problem if they're looking in, right? :)
I tow a 31.5 ft. trailer with my F-150, and it's GVWR is 7600. I've never had an issue with wind, and I live in Utah and travel to Idaho and Montana with no issues, even in the hills. I've never had a sway issue, but I'm also willing to slow down and drive to the road/weather conditions. If you were careful, you could tow with a 1/2 ton, but you would need to watch your payload capacity. That tends to be where a 1/2 ton runs out of spec, long before the towing capacity. However, a 3/4 ton would be a better option overall.
Thank you for this!
And you're spot on regarding payload. Most trucks exhaust payload long before tow rating
Great work Josh! I own a 2014 Whitehawk and love the real wood look inside. There is not hardly one new RV that I like better inside appearance wise to the one I own. I don't care what color you paint the inside it will never look as good as the wood grain cabinets in my opinion. The distressed look I never understand. You pay lots of money for something new and then want it to look old and worn out? Maybe I should have died out with the dinosaurs...
it's all cyclical. Things like the white-ish look that's still trending in RVs now was once super popular.. then died completely
Everything comes and goes
When I started this business all RVs had white exteriors
Then grays and tans started coming back
Then they dominated
Now white is trending again
Jayco is one of the manufacturers that makes attractive and functional trailers and 5ths, but then handicaps many models with low cargo capacity. This whitehawk is a good example. Beautiful, lots of storage, good tank sizes, but 1250 CCC?!?! What are they thinking?
It's not a problem they used to have but in recent years it has definitely become something I've noticed on a lot of their models. I think they had everything balanced well.. then kept adding more and more widgets which increased the dry weight without ever bumping up the GVWR
@@JoshtheRVNerd some pinnacle models are really bad. Is it a refusal to spend money on beefier frames? Would stronger axels be a solution? Seems to me to be a straightforward problem that likely has a straightforward solution.
Love this trailer! This is something we would get for us first timers! I would just love a king bed other than that very impressive! And sorry for leaving a comment Josh! Lmao! You’re doing great man love your videos keep’’em coming!!!
We tow a Starcraft 294RESA which is over 9,000 lbs with an F150 but its the 5.0 "heavy half", with an 11,000 lbs tow cap.... I wouldn't tow much more than this 29 footer with it, it tries to pass the truck when going down big hills 😂
good video josh
Thank you!
3/4 ton for over 30’ (yes, I mean 30’1” and up!! lol) and over 6000 lbs. We learned the hard way. Is half ton doable? Sure, in certain situations (short, flat trips, no wind, etc). When we decided to go with a 3/4 ton truck the only thing even close in half ton was a F150 XLT with max tow (those options add weight on upper trims!), and even then the payload was just under 1800 lbs…but all at the cost of the F150 being probably the lightest half ton on the market. Would’ve been “legal” in staying within the GVWR, but I’m sure it wouldn’t be comfortable towing through the busy and sometimes windy Rockies!
What a great looking trailer, love it! Missy Elliot lol, you kill me hahaha
☺
The sleep number adjustable bed is the 1 bed that fits all since it's adjustable to soft to firm, cooled to heated, flat to head up and legs up. Sure it's 10,000$+ but you didn't say there was a price limit
Guess I am glad my sleep number wasn’t 10 grand
@JoshtheRVNerd lol BTW thanks for your videos they have been incredibly helpful to me and helping me learn what I think I might have in my first travel trailer for full-time living, in Las Vegas NV lol. Summer time over 120° and winter time below 32° but nice enough to invite some chicks over and have it not look like a weekend trailer but also I'm 6'4 and the hardest part is a shower I fit in but I also need to have a seat in the shower. I'm a single guy in my early 30s and right now I help take care of my dad but they're moving out of state and I'm staying in Vegas so they are getting hooked up with some dealer auction prices and going to get me something under 50k which I've learned can be a lot of stuff especially if it's dealer auction prices but I just don't get to go with and pick. I was going to try to get my own truck to get a 5th wheel since my dad doesn't want to get a hitch in the bed of his truck but that's not going to be possible for a while. But when it's time for that maybe I'll have to go on a road trip to Bish RV and see what my options look like. Although the ultimate goal is EarthRoamer SX like so I don't have to stay within the RV parks but I can get away but the ultimate goal being over 7 figures I think I'll stick with the RV parks for a while. But I think it'd be cool if I could get a dodge 5500 crew can with a flat bed and a short 5th wheel, remove the axles from the 5th wheel and find a way to mount the 5th wheel to the flat bed. But I'm not sure if I can have slide outs and I'm sure There's a reason why earthroamer uses carbon fiber for the living area since there's a lot of flexing when off-roading. But have you done any videos of the overland trucks that are in that category? I think it'd be pretty awesome if they let me take one out for a weekend or week to play with and camp in. Your channel I would think has a big enough following.. You should see if they will let you do your kind of review on their models
It would have been nice to have the awning cover both doors.
Small world, I was just checking these out. I really liked the flipped seating in this layout, but she's a bit too long and the limited cargo capacity is a deal breaker.
If the wife and I ever upsized from our 2205s it would either be a E2W Alta 2600KRB or a Delta 262RB or possibly a Cougar 26RBS. We only National / Provincial Park camp so staying under 25' makes it much easier to find sites and navigate the parks vs a 30fter. Keep up the great work and loved saved by the bell reference (we're the same age)
Man you hit some good picks in there with your target models
You may consider also checking the Imagine 2600RB or Jay Feather 25RB. Or rockwood 2606WS perhaps?
All basically the same layout
@@JoshtheRVNerd I have each of those models on the spreadsheet too :), something about the Delta and E2W just drew us in. I think it's the oversized windows that are all the same height. Like you said there isn't one camper that will check every box but these two are damn close for us. I wish they had a windshield over the bed, like the Rockwoods.
I really like this layout. Unfortunately there is no place for me to put my kayaks. Although, with a 3/4 ton pickup, I could put the kayaks there.
True...
Josh could you please do more videos on the Grand Design XLS models. Like a 22 foot floor plans.
Currently I have all but one model on file and either already published or coming soon.
I actually recorded 6 more of them last week and will have a bunch of imagines rolling out soon!
The only thing i dont like is the shell.if it bubbles you have to replace the whole side..( been there). The layout is my style...
By the way on a side note, would you happen to know if Bish's Meridian ID will be showing some Go Play series at the Idaho RV show at Idaho Expo Center Jan 11 to 14.
Apologies I do not have a good idea of what store is taking to each event. I'd be surprised if we didn't have a few there, though.
Each store handles their own show lineup and setup internally. You may be able to get an idea by calling them locally though! www.bishs.com/meridian-idaho
Can you access the bedroom if reclining in the theatre seat?
Yeah you can slip around
Nice floor plan...as always I can do without the birth control seating.
The what?
Nice model... do you know the entry door width? Is it same as a Grand Design 28"?
I cannot remember if it's 28 or 30..
Can you please do a White Hawk 32RL and an Rpod 196 review?
I'll watch for them though I'm not sure we have rpods among our lineup so I may just not be able to bump into one..
I have a 268BH keystone passport and I had a 2022 chevy Z71 Silverado and I towed it with that 1/2 and I didn't like it and it a 9300 pound tow package buy when you and the battery and propane on the hitch was 700 pounds and in a bad wind it was not fun so I traded up to 3/4 ton and its great so and my trailer weights in at 7200 loaded so my cargo went down and I was close all my limits 3/4 is the way to go, I like the white hawk
TY for sharing. Kinda what I feared - this is "technically capable" of being towed by some half-tons but often uncomfortable
There was a time when sleep number advertised a Rv mattress. I am not sure if it is available now.
I remember that.. may need to look
I would Love this one If it had a free standing tabl e /chairs...so much better for us that have back /hip issues..Plus I would rather place a desk/eating area there instead. And No windshield for extra warmth/cool. 😊
Table/Chairs swaption is available!
@@JoshtheRVNerd That is awesome...putting on my list!!! Thanks Josh.
#NerdHerd 🎉 😊 🎉
Could you do the vibe 31HB, thanks josh
That's a new model I haven't yet been able to see. I'm really interested in that rear bar setup!
@@JoshtheRVNerd cant wait for more of your videos , thank you sir.
Hey josh i have a question, if it can be answered here.
If i purchased a TT out of state many hours/miles away what happens to maintenance/warranty issues? Would i need to bring it back to the dealer or can any certified dealer fix them? I was thinking about reaching out to bish to get one delivered
Old video but answer still valid m.czcams.com/video/XSPOcCLmcY8/video.html
I believe a ft. window in a ft. bedroom rv is a waste of storage space. About the only time you're in there is sleeping or dressing, which in both cases, you would want the window blinds closed. Lavy needs 2 sets of hooks for towels, clothes ect. If someone ordered a by-fold sofa, wouldn't that close off access to bedroom?
They don’t offer a bi fold sofa in these
Do you mean larger hide a bed? I think you can still scoot around it
Ok, thank you. We own a 2019 25rb. Love it.
I don't like cargo weight to low. It nice But that the only thing I don't agree with. The shade are bomb.
Missy Elliot….
Saved By the Bell…
You going for a demographic?
🤣😂🤣
Either way, as a fan of the U-Dinette, I think I’d LOVE that table!
Have the Ol’ two poster in my 22’ North Trail that is regularly used as a bed ….i’d def. Prefer this.
Also a fan of front bedroom windows, almost went with an Apex Ultra Light over the North Trail because of that.
And if a Fold out bed is an option with this, wouldn’t make a horrendous “I have kids sometimes” rig!
Great vid. Thanks! 😉
I have an odd collection of memories and pop culture references admittedly
🎉#NerdHerd.....
I'm curious. If the main door is open and water heater kicks on, is there a possibility the door would be damaged by the heat of the exhaust?
If they overlap - then absolutely
Looks like that water heater face plate might be for an on demand system. If so, it shouldn't be an issue with heat exhaust unless someone is using hot water. Then shame on them for doing dishes when it's evening campfire time. I have this floorplan and the normal place for the water heater is in the bathroom so all the hot exhaust comes out by the back bumper where most seasonal campers stack their extra firewood. 🔥
You know.. I never considered that water heater exhaust on camp side for on-demand units...
Most 1/2 tons are rated for 10-12 thousand lbs so I don’t understand the concern here pulling it with a 1/2 ton. I mean sure a 3/4 will do better but then a 1 ton would do better as well. Right now we have the 23MRB (6500 lbs) so I know it is another 1500 lbs but I am not expecting too much of a difference. I pulled an older 2012 34 ft Jayflight with a 2010 tundra across Ontario without issues (if memory serves me it was around 9,000 lbs. Anyway I’m hoping to not have to get a new truck if I get this trailer. Ok, now I’m babbling.
I'll be a first-time Rv buyer this spring, and I see a lot of people saying not to buy a new one. Why? Why would I buy someone's used and possibly defective camper? Besides being cheaper, what would be the advantage? Thanks😊
There seems to be a pervasive theory that used RVs have every bug worked out and now someone traded in a perfectly fine RV.
That isn't necessarily the case. I have overlooked used RVs for years and have seen first hand that's not the case.
@@JoshtheRVNerd as I thought. Thanks Josh
City water connection directly above the power connection? Looks like black tank flush above that. Bad, bad design. Floorplan is pretty good;
Nice trailer but theater seats too close to TV.
Nice 12" joke!
Uncle Josh, your wife called and she wants you to pick up some house paint so you can paint the house when you get home, and feed the hogs, mow the grass, let the dogs out, make dinner, and make the bed. 😆 😅 😄 😃 😂 😁 😉 😊 🤗
Remind me not to go home then
@@JoshtheRVNerd 😆😅😄😃😂😁😉😊🤗 Good one Uncle Josh 😆😅
Reminder!!
DON'T GO HOME UNCLE JOSH!!!!!
Still going to hang on to my 27RBOK another year I guess. When can we go back to no front windshield and an outdoor kitchen with a real sink that has a real faucet and a functional drain? And don't say its because they can't plumb it in because they had no problem doing it 7 years ago.
I'm 100% with you regarding plumbing an outside sink
You can't plumb a camp kitchen sink mounted IN a slide usually
But in the body of the RV? Totally possible.
Looks like 12 inches to me.
Big tanks except for the black. My 20 footer has a 35 gallon and fills up in 4 days. Yours, 3 days. Too long and too heavy.
You mean trailer
My wife says she wouldn't be able to keep white clean as we are full time on dirty roads
Missy Elliot style 😆LESSGO!!!
lol
Hey Josh, you don't have to reply to this comment. Whew!
I don’t have to.. BUT I AM!!
BOOM BABY! I PREDICTABLE
Weak Cargo. Otherwise, I like it.
It is light in that area I agree
My wife cut her hand on one of those handles in the kitchen. I'm not sure what they were thinking on those. Maybe the designer is into medieval torture?
This is not LUXURY this barely a shiny Jayco.
They should ditch the luxury bit i dont buy it and i guarantee many others dont buy it either.
Jayco being luxury is like a Jeep being luxury. Gtfoh
