I love playing video games and do the ”normal teenage stuff” but I stull focus on my goals by for an example work out every day, eat healty, get the good amount of sleep and so on. And I think that having a good mixture of these things makes you happy as a teen.
Ya same, as long as it's balanced you'll be fine. But you should put more of an emphasis on the self improvement, learning activities
If I get to do these things, learn something new and valuable every day, and watch that episode of some series at the end of the day, it seems decent.

Working out everyday is not good you know, recovery is when you are getting stronger not the training
I have one more year as a teenager, I turn 19 as of February, my biggest distinction between doing it and not is knowledge, for as I am holding onto my child self
I love the opening line from a parent's perspective - most parents expect their teen kids to just start being able to do great things. There's some truth to the idea that teens are at their peak capability to do great things and it goes downhill with age.
Obviously nuance exists - wisdom and knowledge play a major role - but too many parents believe all of their kids' abilities will always increase with their age and that simply isn't true.

I remember a few months ago, I was hanging out with my older friend (im 14, hes 17) and my mom asked him "do you work?". He said yes. She then told him "Why not spend your teenage years worry free and enjoy yourself while you can. When you have a family is when you will really need to start working, before that, your parents will cover it.". That video was… painful. I was always afraid of wasting my teenage years even if they are the best thing that happened to me so far. I feel that my life isn't as complete as it could be. Of course, I finally started really learning how to play guitar, I have small band with friends. I have youtube channel with other friends. We are trying to start it all, but it's hard and I feel like something was passing right by me and I am afraid, that it's my life. There are still things I want to do. But I don't know how or what exactly I want. That's why this video was painful but I think it also gives courage for young people to achieve their goals

People all around me held me down, so at the end I am holding myself now down permanently
Im 12 turning 13 this year, and in deleting CZcams, any social media, the algorithm at this point is just stupid and filling my head up with junk, I've had this mindset for a while, but this is just going to make it better, I'm homeschooled and i only have my cousin as my only friend, i have a sister but.. she's just not good, ill put it that way, my cousin lives 2 hours away and i hardly see her, and I can't make any friends in my neighborhood cause, there is none, all the kids that i went to school with when i went to public school came from 20-30 minutes away to go to school, but that's fine, I don't need friends, it would be nice to have them though, but it is what it is, I'm going to start working really hard, i wish anyone else thats doing this luck.

I have limited time on a daily basis because my life is around school, gym eat, sleep but i really wanna be a youtuber, because it is a really purposeful thing to me.
