I think MGSV suffered mostly due to the disagreements between Kojima and the higher ups at Konami, which is likely in part due to budgetary reasons, and Konami's overall shift out of major video game development.

Silent Hill should just stay dead. It's pretty clear the new lineup of devs don't understand what made Silent Hill great. They're too over-the-top, Pyramid-Head became a mascot like Dracula or Jason. This game is a multiplayer survival-horror game, which makes perfect sense, because nothing is more subtle than getting shouted-at by your rowdy-mates.
Konami just violates their IPs way past their expiration date. They don't care if not a single soul is left of the original team, they'll still shit out something.
They were only testing that for a percentage of users and 4k would've been completely gone if you were part of that instead of "true 4k". He has Premium anyway.

The Last Hope got removed by Sony even though the gameplay isn't even ripping off The Last of Us. It's just an asset flip with zombies and at one point it asks you to press the E key on the Switch.
The gameplay may not be directly ripping it off, but the character model for the girl you escort around is literally a low res Ellie from TLoU. It may be just an asset flip, but it's an asset flip that's meant to look as much like TLoU as possible without putting much effort in.
I'm just waiting on him to react to the Silent Hill F who is supposed to be written by Ryukishi07 ( author of the Higurashi series) an actual horror writer.

The only good thing that’ll come out of these new Silent Hill games is the potential for ‘Twin Perfect’ or ‘The Grate Debate’ to return. Silent Hill is over, it was over at 3 but 4 was a good attempt and was an interesting spin at least. PT was interesting but not a Silent Hill game I just wish Kojima had made a horror game.
