The ONLY place in America to see Princess Grace of Monaco's Dior dresses is hidden in Washington, DC

- Princess Grace of Monaco was dressed in Dior for much of her royal life. A special exhibit of the former Grace Kelly’s wardrobe and jewelry is in Washington, D.C. at the Hillwood Estate Museum & Gardens.
In this video, I show designer fashion made for her by Marc Bohan, artistic director of Christian Dior in the 1960s and 1970s.
I start by giving you a tour of Hillwood, a hidden gem in northwest DC, with French gardens and an orchid greenhouse. The was owned by Marjorie Merriweather Post who also owned Mar-A-Lago, which is now Pres. Donald Trump's home.
The estate is one of my favorite places in D.C. because it's quiet and peaceful. The home was owned by Marjorie Post, an heiress, who bequeathed her home and collection. of French and Russian art. There are also stunning gardens and I walk you through the greenhouses of orchids. Interesting note: Post also owned Mar-a-Lago in Palm Beach, FL, now Pres. Donald Trump's home.

I'd have to go with anything with that beautiful applique work, but I really loved the suit jacket dress with the cool neck pieces!
And I would kill to have those flowers the most!😉
@@debbiedebster5806 I loved that suit jacket too-- so classic, could wear it today! I took close up photos of that applique because it is just incredible handwork. We all need the flowers!

I had you in mind when I did this video because I still have to go to botanical gardens but thought the orchid green house would be another lovely place to show. Plus the Dior dresses are stunning !

interviews. Just like Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth and Melania I would have enjoyed listening to
and sharing with all four of these women. Each of these women radiate elegance and grace !
I respect the office and title people hold, but I also know Royalty doesn't like it when people 'worships'
them and puts them on an UNREALISTIC pedestal that no one can live up to. The story's I could tell
of what I saw and heard doing Executive Protection, but I respect their right to "vent" and "privacy" &
to not share with anyone what I saw and heard that could come back and embarrass them one day !

Sylvia, I am so glad you liked the video! I spent so much time in there looking at fr dresses from every angle. My friend and I played a game that we could each pick one day dress and one evening dress. I picked the purple one for day and the pink ballgown for evening. I agree Grace Kelly was the most beautiful of all in Hollywood.

I think I got over enchanted thru the Twin Peaks days & return lol Bullet bras & pencil skirts! Yes! (Your dress is lovely, btw!) I wear long, pretty skirts, but with doc boots lol so I need a push in the classier look😎 I am a chef & mostly work from home, so I don't know how to accomplish this at work, maybe I'll throw on a kitty apron and pearls today for my cookie decorating! Emily and her girl friends are all "dressed to the nine's" and each of their dresses are more stunning than many of Princess Grace's dresses seen in this video.
When I read this the first time (obviously too fast) I thought you said "I'll throw on my kiddie pearls and cookie apron for decorating."

Here's your million dollar idea Chef: plain cookie base, small bite sized candy bar melted on the cookie base, and a hard colored candy on top.
Cinnamon Atomic Fireball, Lifesaver, Peppermint, Werther's Carmel, etc.
I do know they brought back the child's "EZ Bake oven from the 1970's" a few years ago.
Incidentally, we are getting snow here in Denver. . . does anyone want some. . . FedEx Overnight Delivery ! lol lol

Well, I am making these cookies for a little restaurant in town, I am kinda making your idea... layer of cookie... topped with assorted candy bars, more cookie... VERY LARGE sized. Making Almond Joy (I cook namely for seniors, so they are nuts for macaroons, then I have all this coconut leftover! Lol) Snickers & Reese's overload. M&Ms abounds of course! I like this style, I've been doing day of the dead skulls all morning, a LOT of detail & a steady hand (after 4 espressos, DOH!)😂 Been an adventure! So I'm switching to my only challenge being to get the sizes just right!

And on topic of EZ Bake oven, I got one when I was like 5, and opened a diner in my room, and my dad said I took that dish WAY too seriously!😂 I'd chase him around with a coffee pot, he would hide on the throne in bathroom, I'd slide "menus" under the door, forcing him to order lmao And here we are....
The snow has stopped. The peppers might be done for the year. They make great compost material for NEXT
years garden. An easy compost is go to a grocery store that has a REAL bakery inside that decorates a LOT of
cakes and ask if they have any EMPTY Frosting buckets they are going to throw away. Sure you might have to
clean them, but it's FREE ! Then put this frosting bucket outside where it will chase away rabbits who can't stand
the aroma coming from it and add your compost material and "stir it" about every 7 - 10 days. It takes a while but
your garden will love it, next year.

Sure go for it on the cookie recipe ! When my mom died when I was 13, I took over many of the domestic duty's
and learned how to cook and experiment using different food, colors, and textures to create impossible dishes I
could never repeat because it was from scratch and I never wrote down what the ingredients were and how much.
Here's an easy recipes with LOTS of color: Yellow corn, green snow peas, purple cabbage, green Jalepeno's, Pepper
jack cheese cubes and Feta cheese sprinkles, black and green olives, orange carrots, slivered onion and garlic pieces,
Kale, spinach for salads, sliced avocado wedges, Craisins and sliced almonds. The Dressing is Mrs. Bragg's Liquid
Amino's, Mrs. Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar & Olive oil or Avocado oil -- combine all of these ingredients together and
you have an awesome salad that is low fat but full of good protein's and good fat. But NO DRINKING 4 Expresso's ! lol

I actually do cook mostly healthy stuff! Lol The senior cooking is seperate than the other!😉 I've had to learn a lot, one is no gluten but Italian and one has Crohn's disease. I was let go from my cooking job at this assisted living facility bc I wouldn't get the jab, so I cook for 2 over there & bring it over lol so sneaky! The other family, the wife is almost entirely blind, and hubby can't cook so I hook them up weekly. I tried to do it for free but they insisted on paying, so I charge for the groceries only. Those prices have gone crazy, so when I give her totals, I hand her husband the receipts bc no one can believe the prices lol She curses Jojo hard & it cracks me UP!😂 Old people & foul language, gets me every time!
The restaurant had just opened as quarantine started, and was a mom & pop joint, so I rallied hard for them! They went from surviving to thriving, so I am so happy!! It started with cakepops for her catering imto cookies, etc for the shop... so after all the healthy stuff, it's fun to go nuts with the sugar!😀
