- This video is about the MotoWings Performance Air filter that I bought and installed in the motorcycle. I've tried to explain what the bike has gained becuase of it.
I bought this product from bikenbiker and below is the link if you're also interested in buying one:

Your content is good. I can see your channel growing in the next few months
Thanks for the kind words man 👍
Like your no nonsense no bullshit style of articulation. Also like your tone and content which are both quite decent. I also like how you take time and put effort into giving a reply to my comments. Bro, the thing is, I'm looking to buy the Interceptor myself in the near future but am hesitant about it wrt the high speed wobbling I experienced when it took a test ride a few months back. It ran pretty well till 140 kmph but any increment in speed thereafter was making the motorcycle wobble quite a bit. First I thought it was just the poorly maintained test ride vehicle but then I heard many other youtubers experience the same. I know the Interceptor is not a performance oriented bike like those liquid cooled engine ones but I guess you do understand my expectation for a hasslefree and relatively safe top speed run. Kindly throw some light in the area.
Hi Sanjeev.... I do understand your concern and yes once in a while on expressways I've also pulled it till the top end... I've hit 170 on it.
Some have experienced high speed Wobble on their 650 (I have) and some haven't. What I've noticed is the stock tyres have also played a major role in this. Once I did 160 with a pillion and the bike remained rock solid. One of the guys I spoke to have replaced the stock tyres with better set of rubber and he said that the wobbling was gone. My tyres still have about 5k more kilometres to go so that's something that I can't do right now.
If top speed runs and canyon carving is something that you'd like to do primarily then you should consider the GT...feels more confident at higher speeds. With the Interceptor reaching 140 is really easy but it's best suited to cruise at around 100-120 for hours.
Make a video on how to clean and recharge this air filter
Informative analysis. ♥️👌👍🇮🇳.
Thanks for the support man 😊
@@TheTwinPost sorry bro, due to strom 'Amphun'....there (in kolkata) we facing huge power cut and mobile network unavailability, unable to watch your video yesterday.
Hoping everything comes back to normal.... Stay safe 🙏
Bro.. Good one.. Don’t you need to change exhaust for better breathing for high intake air filter?
Hi Lokesh.... MotoWings suggests a 'Stage:2' kit (plastic lid covering the air filter is eliminated with 3 metal clams holding the air filter in place) when fitting their airfilter only when you're running aftermarket exhausts.
For stock exhausts they suggest using the stock plastic covering becuase it lets enough air in. In future if one intends to get aftermarket exhausts they can order these metal clamps (Stage 2 kit) and replace the plastic cover.
Regarding the air filter, Stuart Fillingham and TEC bike parts might be worth a look 👍
Hi Julian... Stuart is running a DNA filter with stage 2 kit (clamps that hold the filter instead of the plastic cover). DNA is a tad more expensive but has more efficient working.
@@TheTwinPost are you using the RE plastic air filter cover? Did you Tec bike parts filter blog on how you can modify the RE cover?😷
Yes I am using the stock filter cover... I didn't feel the need to modify the cover... If I get an aftermarket exhaust system in the future then I might explore this option.
@@TheTwinPost you might like to see TEC's 2 into 1 Stinger exhaust system. It gives some interesting views on the original header pipes 😉
Raju super 👍
You found me 😄
Nice voice raju
Thankyou 😊
naaiceee.... detailed too.... could you please let us know about heating if there is any change in that.. thanks
Right now in Delhi the tempratures are 40+ during the day... I did ride for about 50 kilometres and did not feel any excessive heat as such... While riding there isn't anything to talk about heat but when I had to stop at traffic signals I could feel the heat in my under thighs ...again not so much that would bother me.
Bike sounds a bit raspy at higher revs. (Will post a better sound quality video to show that)
@@TheTwinPost great i would love to experience it in person. meet me sometime, we can ride together... hit me up in case you are coming to Gurgaon faridabad highway.. i am close by
For sure... Last week Traffic Police didn't let rider from Delhi to enter Gurgaon from the highway (Near Cyberhub) due to a major bike accident on Saturday. So the checking is a bit strict for now.
@@TheTwinPost yeah i heard, but dont know what exactly happened and where did this occur..
I'm also thinking to get it for my interceptor.
Will it affect the warranty?
Hi Sahil - No it does not affect the warranty of the bike - Infact I've claimed warranty for the faulty RR-Unit twice.
Good content, even I am planning to buy this one for my INT, how much time did it take to get delivered
Hi Aman.... thankyou for the support.
I got my bike delivered after 3 months of waiting period.... but that was last year, not really sure what's it like right now.
@@TheTwinPost think he's referring to the air filter
This airfilter was delivered in 3 days.
Sorry to disturb please once more about ecw update
Electronic Control Unit or Electronic Computer Unit.
Basically bikes which do not have a carburettor...and are fuel injected instead have an ECU which can be programmed to manage and control the air-fuel mixture in the engine.
Earlier Interceptor had an issue of stalling at higher altitudes which was fixed by RE as they came up with a new ECU map.
It's basically like how you update the version of your phone... Android 10 etc.
At the service center....they plugged in some wires to the ECU and their laptop and updated it within like 10-12 minutes...and the bike was good to go.
Hii which action cam do you use for motovlogging??
Hi Arth... I've been using a very old one.
It's the SJ 5000+ ...it's very old but gets the job done. Although it's biggest problem is that it doesn't have a port for external mic hence recording my own voice while riding isn't possible.
Will be upgrading to a better camera soon.
Thank you
hello brother .....
very helpful video ....
I having brand new standard ks 350cc varient ....
with stock silencer ....
can I go with motowings air filter ?
Hi Vignesh... You can definitely go with the MotoWings air filter.
@@TheTwinPost good for bs6 varient ?....
What one is best bro ... Type 2 cone silencer or air filter ?....
@@vignesh16091993 Air Filter won't visibly change anything... mileage, performance will stay exactly the same and even the sound will remain the same.
But if you get an aftermarket exhaust then obviously there would be reduction in weight + adding an aftermarket filter + stage 2 kit (replacing the air filter cover with filter holders) would marginally improve the performance in terms of acceleration for sure.
@@TheTwinPost very thanks bro ......
Last question ......
Can I order a motowings air filter and motowings cone type silencer ?.....
@@vignesh16091993 For sure
Air filter free flow hay yea covered kar dia hay?
Uski zarurat tabhi hai jab aftermarket exhausts lagvao.... Manufacturer ne bataya ye.
@@TheTwinPost ok brother thanks for information
What's the life expectancy of this filter?
Hi there... This air filter has a lifespan of 1 lakh kilometres.
And it needs to be cleaned after every 10k kilometres.
@@TheTwinPost That's awesome.... and thanks
Do they have cleaning kit?
Hi Deepak....to my knowledge they do not have a cleaning/charging kit for their air filter - but a K&N cleaning/recharging kit would do just fine for it.
@@TheTwinPost thanks bro
Is it lifetime air filter
Manufacturer claims a life of 1 lakh kilometres...so you can consider this to be a lifetime air filter
Iski life kitne km hoti hai
Manufacturer claims life of 1 lakh kilometres.... Me uska aadha bhi lekar chalu yaani 50k kilometres...to bhi bohot hai
Changing air filter does it really increase mileage?
HI Shivam....I also heard about it....and tested it. Now I can say that yes it did add a kilometre or two of mileage per litre.
@@TheTwinPost How much mileage you are getting more than the stock air filter?
Yes... 1-2 kmpl more than the stock one. In moving traffic and comparatively open roads I used to get around 27 kmpl....I tested the mileage now and I got around 29 kmpl.
Does this mean that the bike is running lean?
It's running fine... lockdown is over and the city streets are full of traffic again... So the city mileage is still around 25. It is running fine
How is your air filter perform ?? And to clean this filter it has same mechanism like k and n ?
Air Filter has been performing really well...the the cleaning/charging mechanism is same as that of the K&N or BMC air filter etc
@@TheTwinPost is it really help with stock exhaust cuz I don't have any plan on exhaust due to family and challan. Is this product did improvement on our bike??
To be honest...the difference is not day n night...and even the mileage is pretty similar to other stock air filter Interceptors that my friends ride.
One major difference is that once the bike heats up (after about an hour of riding) the bike sound becomes a little deep and bassy.
During our long ride....when we took fuel stops we noticed this....my bike was sounding much better than the other two Interceptors with stock exhausts.
Practically speaking I would say stick to the stock air filter if you're planning to keep the exhausts stock as well.
@@TheTwinPost other youtuber mentioned its improve the efficiency as well as performance in mid range than stock one i guess that not the case here right?
The difference is so minute that you'd need a computer to know that difference... I did a 1000kms ride with my friends... And their bikes consimed similar amount of fuel as my bike did....even though they were running the stock filter. Like i said...the difference is very minute... I chose it and am not disappointed with the product.
Hi, really a nice video.
I am buying one for thunderbird 500.
Do you think i need to update my ECU from showroom or it will autoadjust?
It is TB500 2017 BS4 EFI TWINSPARK.
Hi there... ECU update isn't required becuase this doesn't alter the air flow to that extent.
You just need to keep the engine running for 10 minutes without revving it once you've replace the filter...that would let the ECU setup well with the change in air flow.
@@TheTwinPost thanks! To inform you i am getting their performance exhaust too
To balance the intake with outtake.
I will keep the engine for 10 mins as you said.
Bro send me this air filter....I like it....
MotoWings Air Filter.
It's a available with www.bikenbiker.com
Bro sound increased or not. I'm from kerala I don't understand you language that's why
Hi there.... Angane prayan aayi sound kuudittonnum ilya machhaane.... Verum high revsil maatram oru cheriya defference ondu soundinu.
Are you sure? 29 kmpl?
Yes....I tested it.... earlier I've got 27-28. In my Ladakh ride I got an over-all mileage of 27.
I get it too...
Bro ye bike ka engine kaliye harmful hai?????
Harmful nahi hai bhai....tried and tested hai koi illegal product nahi hai.
@@TheTwinPost mai woo nahi bol raha hunn vai..aftermarket air filters ki wajah se engine mai zaida dust jata hai...kolkata,mumbai,delhi ye sabhi jagao mai pollution zaida hai .. .isliye agar apka state mai pollution kam hai too u can use it....
