Don't worry about the last scene. On the last day of his D-day world tour, he was able to go out of the door. He's finally healed. During the same concert, he poured out all his emotions while singing to the point that he couldn't even sing/rap because he was crying so hard. I believe it was a cathartic experience for him and as a fan who's been following and relating to his music, it was cathartic to me as well. He's truly a once in a million artist. I am proud to be his fan.

You got the meaning right on point, i respect that you actually looked up what Amygdala means!! Suga does have a heart breaking story and really struggled with depression. But don't worry he's really good these days, at the end of his last concert he had a door on stage and he walked through it and smiled so brightly!
Also listen to "The Last" by him, it's gives another part to his story.

yes, this was all based on his real life, including the motorbike accident, which is quite a pivotal part in his life and story as he dislocated his shoulder during the accident (over 10 years ago) but hid it from bts and the staff for years as he was scared of getting kicked out of the group (while still having to dance intensely in performances), and only just got surgery for it in 2020. he even got his bts friendship tattoo on that shoulder which is quite sentimental :’)

I love your comments about the song, how he's allowing us to see him as a person (Min Yoongi) instead of his personas (Suga and Agust D). His whole promotion for his album and his tour was all about integrating his three identities, from the posters, the promotion videos, the videos displayed in his concert, even the stage. He's a genius.
His stage was so unique. It was made of 15 panels, which were raised to the ceiling one by one throughout the show, symbolizing him stripping his personas. He sang Amygdala at the end of his main show on one last stage panel.
And then during his encore songs, the stage was gone, showing all the concert props (lights, fire machines etc). All stripped bare. He sang from a small platform as person to person, instead of as a singer and his fans.
And at the very last show, at the very end, he had the Amygdala door at the back of the stage. All through his tour, the stage was his amygdala. He was rapping his songs, which told about his life stories and struggles, inside his amygdala. And at the end, he opened that door, turned around and smiled and waved to us, and walked out of it.
(The meaning of the symbolism of his tour are my interpretation, he never actually explained them.)
To know him better, listen to his entire discography, two mixtapes and one album. His mind and his story are fascinating.
Of course, you also have other BTS members to explore, each with their own stories. They are all true artists.

If the scar on his eye comes from his emotional trauma, notice how in his other videos there is always a life or death struggle between different versions of himself. In Daechwita the Suga with the fresh scar tries to kill the Suga with the healed scar but fails and the Suga with the healed scar shoots at him but we never see a body. We don’t know if he actually hit him or not. In Haegeum the Suga with the healed scar tries to kill the Suga with no scar and fails but the unscarred Suga does manage to kill the Suga with a scar and this time we do see a body and know for sure that he’s dead. After that we see unscarred Suga looking relieved, riding in a police car to get some noodles. It was only after watching Amygdala that I realized that the first two videos might be his stages of healing after struggling against himself and his emotional scars multiple times.

*My own thoughts on Agust D's Triology:*
*(Min, Yoon-gi is his birth name, SUGA is his stage name with BTS, AGUST D is his stage name for his solo projects)*
Yoongi has shared his mental health issues with us since the beginning, and he stated how some of his roughest times were in the early days, like from 2014 to 2016, how he developed social anxiety at age 18, he was dealing with depression and OCD. BTS had hate coming at them from all angles, and it took a toll on them in the early years. So hearing all the other things he was dealing with as well, just puts things into perspective. He's such a strong person. In the making video, he said the scars we create are of our own making. So the best way for him to represent that was the way that he did with the scar on his face. And the medicine he took was for his condition. He talked about how he saw a psychiatrist and his parents went with him, and they said they didn't know who he was anymore. This was in "The Last" from his first mixtape Agust D (2016).
He said how could anyone know him when he doesn't know himself, so that phrase "I don't know your name" made sense to me. Looking back at repressed memories. Thankfully he got through all of it, and now is healed to a certain degree. I see the rain as a shift., He also talked about "What doesn't kill you make you stronger", and he is now blooming like a lotus flower. The lotus flower is very resilient, and can grow in mud and water, like on a lake or pond. So I see the rain as cleansing, and healing.
He also said in the behind the scenes on Daechwita (D-2 mixtape 2020), that the mad King was the Agust D from his first Mixtape in 2016, and the peasant was from his 2020 mixtape D-2. You can see the scar is very raw in that video on both of them, maybe slightly less for the 2020 Agust D. In Haegeum, i interpret it as Agust D from 2020 is the Police detective/corrupt Boss, with the partially healed scar, and the Agust D that kills, and steals the money with no scar is D-Day Agust D (2023). The one that is mostly healed and is talking about freedom. (Do we ever completely heal from our scars?) In an interview with IU, and in the D-Day film, he talks about how he was very angry and now he has forgiven the haters and is living in the present. So his music moving forward may not have the angry vibe that we have seen in the past. But he is definitely not done yet.
I went and saw him in concert in Oakland, California, on May 16, 2023. It was an amazing concert. He was in his element, and ARMY's were so hype to be there and see him on his first sold out world tour. So many songs we got to experience live for the first time. It was a concert I will never forget. For his last concert, it was held at the KSPO Dome in South Korea. He was so emotional in that concert. At the very end, that door in the music video was on stage, and he finally walked through it.

This is why Suga is my bias. His solos holy shit I relate to him. I have my own trauma and he speaks to me. He pulls out all the feels. Suga is the only one in BTS that has a traumatic life growing up and he uses his music to get it all out there. The 1st Korean to sing to this extent Korea usually forbids it but BTS do what they want. But even tho that door did open then years later it did. As time went by he got better and now he is in a great place and the past is the past and he is over it. Amygdala is the last piece to closing that door. Or I guess 1st because it's basically a prequel to Deswitcha (1st) and Haegum (2nd) the this one. He said to listen to them in that order. His whole album is pure genius filled with so much. I love all BTS MEMBERS AND THEOR SONGS AND THEIR SOLOS but SUGAS is my fav. Suga wants to to hug him and cry with him and to heal him. Thanks for the reaction. You understood perfectly. RM is a poet when he writes and sings. And it beautiful but to me and only in my opinion. None of the other members pull me in like Suga. I think cause of the trauma I've had too I can resonate, I understand again thanks

What he conveyed in this song is his real life stories. This song tells us the story behind the scars in Daechwita and Haegum, more like a prequel I would say. In his final show of his tour, he brought the white door on the stage and opened it as his last act. I assume he wanted to tell us that he can finally make a peace with every bad things he has been coping with and ready to move forward to his new chapter. What a genius. Hope he is ok now tho.

What I first felt as a Suga (and RM)-biased ARMY when this came out was less about how I related and more shock putting together the pieces of how much of his personal history he included in the song. You can trace the details in BTS’ songs where he starts to reveal his history bit by bit since they write about themselves, namely Moving On by BTS, First Love (a Suga solo on BTS’ Wings), and The Last on the 1st Agust D mixtape. HYBE has encouraged BTS to go to therapy given their stressful jobs; with the Amygdala MV, you can see an artist being vulnerable and expressing those processes publicly partly to try to help others.
Further back down memory lane, I remember when that 1st mixtape came out- even being Suga-biased, I was shocked by how good it was, and I’ve felt those same feelings with him repeatedly. Never expected he’d be so good at visual storytelling via this MV trilogy and his tour stage production- he loves cinema but one person shouldn’t be so good at so much! Continuity and storytelling have been vital to the BTS brand too though, originating Day 1 with emphasis on hip hop-based personal songwriting then expressed visually through the HYYH MV series (the BU/Bangtan Universe). Suga started to incorporate this visual strategy in his solo work with the Agust D and Give it to Me MVs from his 1st mixtape.
The latest thing to shock me is how good Suchwita is. We knew he wanted to host a radio show eventually, but Suchwita is a gift to ARMY I didn’t expect. If you ever really get into the group, you’ll see what I mean more fully. But I’m glad you’re checking it out- gives us all more insight into who Suga is right now, for one.

As fans we knew about the accident he was involved in as a trainee. His shoulder was injured quite badly and he went for years without surgery, just dealing with it cuz there was no time for him to take off for BTS. We all joke that Yoongie loves to sleep but I'm sure part of that was because of the meds he must have been on for his pain. It's heartbreaking. We didn't know before this video about his family issues. Feel honored that he chose to share all of that with us and so happy that both his parents are okay. He only recently started really working on his singing voice for this album. As a singer, I knew he had it in him. We are responsible for what traumatizes us. This man is a warrior! And yes. The accident happened as well as his parents health issues. And many other traumas.
His story is deep and full of trauma. He has been very open about it. 💜
The suga in the scooter is his past self when he was a trainee he had that accident. The one trapped is Agust D now, Trapped inside his memories. In the end, The past cannot save you. You have to do it yourself.
His tour follow this theme. And in the last day of the concert, he opened that door. He literally finished the concert, walked away by opening that white door and smiled back at the crowd. The screen read "Future's Gona Be Okay" The 1st line of the 1st song of the album.
The next day we get the notice that he is next to Enlist to the military.

As Yoongi explained, for example, you are afraid of water, and every time you see water, it reminds you of the day you almost died because of drowning (reason why you have a water phobia)
In AMYGDALA, the whole summary explanation is that Yoongi wanted to remove these traumatic memories in him. He wanted to get out of this dark room and get away from all the pain.
As the refrain says "AMYGDALA, please save me". he begs the amygdala to save him because these memories make him suffer too much.
A little memory of Yoongi, the ARMYS are aware of his shoulder injury caused by the accident he had before his debut. On the MV, he drives a delivery motorcycle, and it was his job before his debut because he lacks money to support himself and he landed in different jobs, including that of delivery man.
And that's when he had an accident that caused him a shoulder injury. But, fearing that they would not let him start if the company was aware of the injury, he hid it from them and continued to take medication only rather than undergo surgery. In 2020, he already did it because he is Arrived at such a point that he can no longer even lift a bottle of water.
By self-inflicting the cutter, some ARMIES thought that the scar that Agust D had had was self-inflicted. A metaphor of him doing "that" before to escape. He also used the other method of s**c*de (pills). He already mentioned this once in his song "The Last" that when his doctor asked him, he admitted to having done it.
The thing with his parents is the first time we've heard about it and it was really shocking for us.
An ARMY on Twitter explained some of the points visible throughout the MV. First of all, it is the scar. Among all the MVs showing that he had scars, some of us thought it was just a scar. In the interview he gave Daecwhita, he admitted that it was only an idea and that there was no sense behind it. But now that he has used the same scar in this MV, by doing it himself, maybe the scar is self-inflicted all this time. He changed his facial expression to Agust D when he had the scar, which means that this character is angry because he was suffering.
As quoted, "Agust D has never been a Bad, he's just broken." It is also a way of understanding why he usually kills the characters of Daecwhita and Haegeum, because it is a metaphor for the elimination of his past self that suffers and lives in anger) in the present.
You can also clearly understand why he said we had to wait for the moment when he, as Agust D, would come back because he wanted to live as Min Yoongi and SUGA from BTS now. He no longer suffers, and in the midst of anger, Agust D disappears into him.
Because he is already at peace.
AMYGDALA is not Agust D, it is Min Yoongi himself. For him, having the courage to tell a whole story of his past traumatic experiences was something to be proud of and admire. It takes a lot of courage to do this. It is now clear why it is his favorite among the things he has produced and written. He mentioned how difficult it was for him to write this because he was always moved every time because it was very personal for him.
    It's his own story.
At the end of the MV, he never went out. This means that he has already agreed to live forever with these memories.

Yes this is Min Yoongi’s real story, he used to work as a food service delivery guy, the accident happened while he was training to become an idol, he was afraid he’d be kicked out, so he didn’t tell anyone, he finally in 2020 had surgery on that shoulder to fix it, both his parents are still alive and vey proud of him.
AgustD was Yoongi’s alter ego, his songs were very honest and he had a lot of hatred, he planned to do 3 albums under AgustD which were titled AgustD D2 then finally D-Day, now that he has finished D-Day AgustD is now finished and he will continue as Suga Min Yoongi Idol, Singer, Dancer, Songwriter, Composer, and producer, he said he has released all the anger/rage he had back then, that is why at the final final D Day the final concert in Seoul he was able to open the door walked thru and closed the door on all the bad crap, btw he didn’t cut his face as it shows in the MV, but the pills were a real thing, the depression, & not 100% sure, but I think he may have thought about suicide at one time, but again I am not sure if this was true or if the cutting of his face was shown for the purpose of showing his scar, but our Yoongi is doing awesome now, getting ready to fulfill his 2 yrs or military service, will miss him so much, but hope the time flies by quickly so he can come back to us💜

12:39 Actually Suga is fucking genius, he put a door on the stage at one of his concerts and ended the concert by getting out of the door, a way of telling us that he made the way out and he saved himself, I'm so happy for him, also he changed a lot in the way I think, after listening to “Amygdala” for the First time, I felt so much better, I felt that I'm not alone, I’m so Reconciled with myself now, I'm so grateful

When that MV dropped... the way every ARMY was just shaking or crying... that was so special for real.... very triggering and unfortunately too relatable for some but absolutely beautiful in terms of catharsis... he was also on a tour recently and on the last date that happened like 2 weeks ago, the way he performed that song he let it ALL out... Everybody cried once again (i mean we were also trying to recover from the 2 previous songs Snooze and Dear My Friend where he also made everyone cry😅)...but we all felt so proud of him at the end.. very very unique emotional almost spiritual experience that's hard to describe!
Also at the very end of the set he gave his last goodbyes (he announced the day after that he's enlisting in the coming weeks for his 18-month mandatory military service) and exited the stage.... BY FINALLY OPENING THE DOOR FROM THAT MV (he made a replica on stage)... everybody cried once again😂
If you want to hear more of his life you can check his earlier songs like The Last where he explains the beginning of his depression.. more of a deep-cut into Agust D is also the track "724148" and that's more about his upbringing.. but it's the song that made me ARMY, because a bit like you said because you just hear this name larger than life "BTS" so I'd never thought I'd find just someone who's life story I could relate to so much..
But maybe get to those later down the line 😂 so much great music from this team together and individually to check out.. they're actually like the avengers it's crazy that they are together 😂
Sorry for the long comment and thanks for the reaction💜

2 must see recommendations!!!! Agust D, Snooze featuring Ryuichi Sakamoto (Oscar winning composer/pianist and Suga's mentor) and WooSung of The Rose (Korean rock band). Watch the fanmade mv by elisssa, it is fantastic!
Second, you thought Suga could sing!!!!!! You need to listen to Trivia: Seesaw live performance!!!!
Suga did have an almost career ending scooter accident in 2012, while he was a trainee, where he tore his shoulder muscle. He hid the injury, never getting oroper treatment, afraid that he would be cut from BTS and didn't have corrective surgery until 2020!!!! Everything in Amygdala happened to him!!!!

I've been into BTS for a couple years now, and we all felt it in our souls when we watched this one. Yoongi always has such a quiet steady presence, but he is so raw with his music. I sobbed with this song, not even gonna lie. But like someone else said, he's at the point where he can walk through that door, and I really think he puts these feelings and struggles into music so they others know they aren't alone in their own battles.

The lyrics are from Suga’s heart directly to us, everything mentioned in the song is real, the fact is so fucking sad, I believe that he is the most talented man alive, and this album is just like the other albums “ D2 /Agust D..” is perfect, his songs are just a bunch of masterpieces, I'm speechless when it comes to Suga, I’ll never regret knowing him, I'm blessed to listen to his songs that touch my pain so deeply, we can't express this man’s talent into words! He’s been always this singer, the singer who is not afraid to show his emotions and someone who puts his pain and his soul into his works, he can be the fastest rapper ever who doesn't need an oxygen and he can make the most overwhelmed and heartbreaking songs that make you cry because this talented man can make anything that would be also a piece of art!

Yoongi is a fkn genius. He is so complex and has so many brilliant layers. His talent in multiple arenas of composition, production, lyricism and performance value is literally off the charts. I will argue that he is and will be proven to be over the long term one of, if not THE arguably best producer in our modern times - across the board. He's literally just getting started. Wait to see what happens as soon as he gets done with his military service! I'm in awe of him and what he delivers, it's stupid.

Suga, Min Yoongi and Agust D have three different personalities (even if Suga and Min Yoongi are very similar) Min Yoongi is on the scooter, Agust D is the man with the scar and Suga is a member of the bts. But they have one thing that connects them, it is their past. They experienced the same thing and Agust D was born from the past of Min Yoongi/Suga, he was born of trauma.

Of all his songs where he lays his soul bare (and like others I recommend you watch "the Last" next for more insight into Yoongi as an artist and a person) this one got me the most. He is an artist like no other. All the members of BTS are amazing, talented artist in their own right but for me, there is no one like him. If you can find live clips of his last concert in Seoul watch them. He is on another level there. He ripped his heart out on stage and laid it bare for all of us to see and it will make you want to do the same for him.

Also keep in mind AgustD/a Suga wrote composed produced all these songs and wrote his own story boards for the MVs. In the first two he’s battling his inner self who is corrupt and seeks power money status and keeps killing that part of himself to become a rebel more man of the people. Here we see where his trauma started. He’s a genius musician/producer/rapper and both speaks loudly on social issues and his own very real trauma. My love and respect for him as one of the most real artists is unparalleled (except by other BTS members). And to me this and Haegum are the best if his album. Snooze is best and Polar Nights ties for Haugum in 3rd spot, Amgydala is 2nd best but the whole album is no skip. All his work is.

Yoongi is someone I relate to a great deal, from background to life circumstances. And it's really because he shares so much we us that I'm able to not only relate to him but heal a through his music. This song and video made me cry a lot- I think I ugly sobbed for a good fifteen/twenty minutes after and it took watching it several times before I didn't cry or get teary when I watched. But he does have a few other songs that really hit deep too. The Last, Dear My Friend and Snooze all get to me. And sometimes, depending on the day, Set Me Free can make me a little emotional too. Those raw, deep emotions in his music- you can just feel them in your soul. He's an exceptional artist, one of the greatest of our time.

Yes, it is based n Suga's life.
I have a big respect and so much admiration to this wonderful human being.
Amygdala is raw and very emotional and powerful song. ( just like his masterpiece THE LAST).
this song is a reminder of what Suga been through in the past. And for a very popular idol and on the top of the world right now, he is so brave to show his vulnerability, rather than running away or keeping it by himself , facing them by writing them and making it in a song and share it to the world because a lot of people who can really relate the story. And this is , even though he is known as Suga of BTS or the tough savage Agust D, he is a human being like us.
If you noticed the Scar on his face in Daechwita & Haegeum where viewers wondering whats the scar, here in Amygdala the last song of the trilogy, he showed us the origin of the scar, he inflicted by himself.
That even those wounds already healed but the scar still there and you couldnt help to re-live those painful memories.
    In Amygdala MV
He didnt managed to open the door but was locked in that dark bedroom.
But in his last final Solo World Tour concert 2 weeks ago, at the end he walked toward to the back of the stage where the white door was ( tge same white door in Amygdala mv), he faced back to the audience before opening the door and greeted the armys waving and saying goodbyes( it was so emotional , i got goosebump)taking his time,
After that walking through the door and closing it behind him----
That moment right there was so powerful, it's a symbolism of him telling people " Im free, I made it!"
That he overcome all those struggles, the traumas and and self healed himself.
I know there's a lot of really good artist specially in the music industry, but i never seen an artist like Suga
Who can really really touch the innermost of your soul through his music! Not only he is a brilliant producer, songwriter, rapper , lyricist but he is really such a good storyteller! His music mostly might be dark but it is always interesting and you will rock your brain to analyzed it. A great storyteller that is really true, honest, and everyone of us can relate!
Talking also his MV's , it's always a top notch! His 3 MVs from Daechwita, Haegeum to Amygdala, should win the Best Music Video. All the ingredients in there--The storyline ,on point--t's like youre watching an action movie or an action kdrama series, beautiful Cinematic, Visual , Production not to mention the awesome acting of my boy! Such brilliant , multitalented, beautiful handsome human being.
From the moment , i discovered BTS, i know he is the one-- my bias. Through the years of being a BTS army although I love all the 7 and supported all their solo, but to me Suga sticking out the most. I never switched, never swayed, my bias then, my bias now and always well!
Will wait ( will watch a lot of episodes of Run BTS while waiting) for Suga and the boys to come back together in 2025. I'll be here along with tge Armys around tge globe waiting for our Bangtans! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜

Yes I think the majority of us ended up in tears. Thankfully he's said he's through that door now, and his last solo concert at the end before his encore he opens a physical door on stage to represent that. Also the stage he uses through his solo concert tour was a stage that was mad up of separate pieces and tour the concert a piece would be taken away upwards so his stage got smaller and smaller until only one small piece remained with only him on it. Oh he had a live band but they weren't on the disappearing parts of the stage. He had his piano and his guitar and played both. His finale concert he was crying on stage and asked ARMY to help him complete the last 3 songs. His fellow band members 3 of whom came on stage as guests and the 2 who are now in the military were able to attend but couldn't go on stage but where there watching and supporting him that way. His parents were also in the audience.
He also revealed his BTS friendship tattoo it's above the scar from the operation he had to have to fix his shoulder from the Bike Accident. All BTS members have now revealed their friendship tattoo location on their individual bodies. The friendship tattoo is a number 7.

Yes this is the real Min Yoongi what he went through. The BTS members aren't afraid to talk, rap or sing about Mental Health where Mental Health is almost an taboo topic to talk about in South Korea and a lot of Asian countries.

Agust D's world tour stage was an image inside this music video. Fans at the concert were a part of the far deep, dark abyss in the last scene. His stage production was lifted, song by song, set by set, until there was nothing left but him, his live band and the audience. Since the beginning of the tour, at the end of his shows, he never once bid farewell to his crowd, which, to most seemed a bit surprising and confusing as he'd just walk off and disappear. Until, we understood on the last day of his tour, he was able to walk out through the doorframe, liberated from his past, ready to take on this new chapter in his life.

So proud of him too, it seems that some of armies after seeing music video were he'd never do such a thing, but I have homework for them ,I think they need to listen to the actual song as a group, and then watch music videos as a group. And then maybe they'll have more respect from whatever hell he went through in his past. No judgement life isn't always easy. God bless suga on his next journey.

If you like this song l think you would love THE LAST when he’s talking about his battle with social anxiety. The irony is he has social anxiety but yet he became one the most popular idols is the testament that he fought and conquered that battle 🤯

I cried when I first watched the MV
I cried the next 20 times I watched the MV
And I cried during your reaction right now
It hits me every time. Yoongi is a master in conveying raw emotions you can feel that he went through a lot.
    I loved your reaction 💜

Really early on in his career in the KPOP industry as a BTS trainee/member, he worked a side delivery job to pay for school. He got hit by a car which was a very traumatic experience and really messed up his shoulder; something that caused both mental and physical pain for him for quite a while. Their workout, dance, and choreography training is rigorous and intense, so he was scared he might get kicked out if he told anyone. He ended up pushing thru the pain and hiding it for years, telling even his bandmates that he fell down stairs. Very good videos about SUGA’s shoulder, other struggles, and perseverance to overcome, as highlighted in his art: czcams.com/video/2jJz-55x2E4/video.html -&- czcams.com/video/gOGdEQJQIis/video.html
