Rest in Peace blue lightsaber dude
Very good job. Effects were great, drama was great as usual. I'm surprised Disney hasn't hired you guys yet to work on the next Star Wars movies.
I strongly hope that happens.....
Congrats on your win!! Could you possibly in your next one add clone troopers, or would that be a copyright offense?
I dunno, the suspense and effects were good but the way the actors wielded the lightsabers was a bit off, they couldn't really act with the fluency of the movies which really broke the immersion for me.
the effects were good but the acting and script was off.....a sith would never give a jedi his lightsaber back for a fair combat or spare the life of another one
I just took it as these were once his friends at the Jedi academy or something similar and he had defected to the dark side, he wouldn't come back, they wouldn't join them, and so he had to kill them. I'm only assuming, but it felt that way because he didn't look as though he enjoyed one second of the fight. Sith come in many different colors and from plenty varied backgrounds.
Always love your lightsaber fights. It's great how the fights have emotion to them. Even without words, there's this sense of backstory
awesome but there should be more emotion
I enjoyed that very much. It actually felt like real sword play. You didn’t parry and intentionally make your strikes hit the opponents lightsaber but you actually parried, disengaged and attempted kill shots very well. Professionally done, keep up the good work
really liked the choreography. A lot of fan duels feel too choreographed, and more like dances with redundant moves and whatnot, as opposed to fights. This one did indeed feel like a fight
Your are my favourite, guys! Amazing fight, music, acting and everything! Good luck!
omg
I REALLY WISH THERE WAS A SEQUAL!!!
AAAA
that was amazing!
keep up the good work!
Probably not going to happen, but yeah that would be cool.
Maxellth spoiler alert, the green saber dude gets it :))
Good lord why are people hating this so much? Are they all petty that they didn't win LCC like whats going on this was awesome!
Exactly
As soon as he crossed blades and the opponent responded with the elbow to the face I just had to pause and thank you. Thank you for taking the combat seriously.
:D
This is the only one from 2016 I liked. Great job. I was so glad when I saw this won LCC.
I cannot get over how impressive your films continue to turn out to be. You all are an inspiration to everyone interested in filmmaking, and I'm doing my best to learn from you. Maybe one day we'll be able to compete with your level of professionalism and quality. :) Congratulations on the fantastic entry!! I can't wait to see what you all do next!
The sound of lightsabers clashing has to be one of my favourite sounds ever xD
the light saber beams look authentic or even better than the original
in my opinion it was all perfect, you gave it a little story but not too much so the fan can fill in the blanks with their own imagination, the battle was a good time length, the difference between power of the dark and light side was clearly visible, no dialog didn't ruin the film, in fact it made it stronger, facial expressions speak more than words sometimes and there was no spot really where you could insert dialog and make it work. This is hands down the best fan film i've seen besides the darth maul one but that was professionally done with like 50-100 people.
Can believe it was 7 years ago when I saw this and to top it off I saw premonitions that y’all did in 2022
You all kill it everytime!!!!💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Forgot how much I love this one. Watching again in 2017 lol
Dude all these fan films are amazing. Keep up the great work guys!
dude, I've been a fan since I saw your first film. big congrats on the win! You deserve it!
That was great! The red paired with the lomo lens is gorgeous
Agreed.
MY GOD, YOU'RE BACK AND IT'S AMAZING!
Great job, guys.
Thanks!
Max Jordan Thank you for this video.
Bloody brilliant! Love how you've layered the various Filmstro themes together with the Triune Pack hits etc. Really effective!!
This is absolutely amazing, WELL DONE! All of the work from your team just keeps getting better and better and it's absolutely captivating to watch your journey. You all did a fantastic job and I can't wait to see what you accomplish next.
Thank you very much!
Anna! So awesome! Every star wars nerds' dream! This is what we need to be celebrating as a society in marketing and sales is the light side. Promotion of good training, defeating inner demons, being a good guy instead of umpteen million Darth Vader tt-shirts
You really realize how much work went into this at 2:18 when you see the plants overlapping the blade of the lightsaber. Seriously though this was an amazing duel and you guys are really inspirational for my own videos. Can't wait to see you next year!
Great job! You guys created some really nice moments that helped build the tension! Professional VFX and sound design! Very strong piece of work!
been waiting for you guys :) AWESOME AS ALWAYS
Well choreographed. i really enjoyed that. Im going to share this with my
friends 👌
this was the best one i ever saw in my life
Amazing! One of my favourites
something about the way the duel light sabers ignited looked amazing! Almost as if you not only scaled the length but the width at the same time, and the end result looked beautiful... even for a 1/2 sec effect. Great work.
Yep, that's what we did. It was Phillip Poling's idea several years ago and we've used it ever since.
Dang... That was some good stuff! I like how no dialog and only good visual story telling was used! awesome VFX and choreography! Episode 2!
It just can't end there! I want to see a part 2 of this roleplay!
Nice to see a curved hilt in one of these.
omg that was amazing! great job, guys!
{Slow clap} We always enjoy what you guys produce and are seriously impressed again!
Thanks!
they just keep getting better and better
how did you acheive such an awesome look on the colour / core / glow of the lightsabers?
nice shots and good actions!
i love the plot and how you did the whole film with no talking. very good film.
Congrats on the win, well deserved!
Finally got around to watching this. It's great!
Love, Team Hoshino
Great job max, you've made some really solid duels.
Geeze, Max. That was fantastic!!
Oh, come on! We need a Recollection II.
I KNOW RIGHT!?!??!
Yes...yes..that’s the dark good energy this needs
The future looks bright with this one!
I'm glad that LCC is still going. Awesome stuff.
Man I kinda want a part 2 for this
Enjoyable! But i'd like to have seen the final fight!
Max, that was AWESOME! I loved it!
Thank you!
Very good fan film i Love your Star Wars videos
THIS WAS DONE EXTREMELY WELL!!!
Absolutely wonderfully done!
Congratulations. Amazing work!
I waited all day to see this one! It was very beautifully done. I always look forward to your entries.
I like Max as a bad guy and Phillip as a good guy. I've seen Loyalty so many times that this was pretty refreshing for me, haha...
I have to admit, I was kinda hoping for a little left-handed action there at the end, haha... Oh well, I guess that's what the imagination's for.
Great job, and an extremely impressive turnaround for what seems like very few actual production days! Keep it up!
Yeah that would have been really awesome.
Good job on yours! You got way better since your last one. Your physicality was great!
Thanks, man!
I enjoyed this. we need more
Very Good guys , nice . I hope you make more of these videos !
Gl
there needs to be more of this
Very well made!
Beautiful!
Loved it. Great work.
The Nice thing About fan films is there are No haters
I hate U
NOW LET THE HATE FLOW THROUGH YOU
Still love those lightsaber ignition effects
wow i'm glad i stumbled upon this.
really diggen that green saber.
This is amazing!!!!!!!!!!
This was amazing!
this was awesome! great job! is there going to be another one? please make more! sooooo good!
Great Video, fun to watch
hey Philip got to be the good guy finally, and Max got another bad guy role, he seems to enjoy those.
yeah, I like playing those kind of bad guys.
I'd probably like to do that too if I did enough of these.
Excellent choreography!
has anyone noticed that the sith had a light club? cool thing I saw.
bro how though it's too dang great
Fuckin AWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Thank you for this art
You earned a sub
shot beautifully, but one thing I noticed. the red lightsaber, whom I would believe to be the Sith, was the innocent guy in this fight. the other two repeatedly attacked him
not to mention that *technically* that's a crimson orange saber, which aren't always sith lightsabers. some jedi sentinals used them as opposed to the yellow
That was very, very good.
dude that was awesome. never underestimate the power of the dark side
That was amazing! You and your team always do great work. Story telling, acting and choreography were all very well done. This is A list actor quality guys keep it up! Love it! I also noticed you changed your name from Swet to Jordan. I was curious about that.
WUUUUUTT. This is crazy good.
DUUUDE HOLY SHIT!!
This was badass!! Holy fucking shit!
Nice man.
Color grade is gorgeous and the FXs are flawless. Fantastic job im happy to submit with you!(:
(this is my personal account I submitted under Cineloid Productions btw)
Thanks!
Your entry was awesome as well! One of my favorites so far. Have you entered before, and do you guys make films?
Max Jordan I have made short films before but, like most artists, I despise them xD
I am excited for my next project. Its gonna be a short drama piece.
nice use of the shii-cho form... but the curve hilt works best for makashi and shii-cho itself is very simplistic and perhaps the weakest to us but easiest to learn. i suggest that you focus more on actually performing the lightsaber combat properly to what is typically taught by jedi. like the use of ataru.
WTF?!! I WAS JUST WATCHING YOUR OLD VIDEOS LAST NIGHT AND I WAS JUST WONDERING WHEN A NEW VID WOULD COME
Ha!
Today's Sxephil. this about to blow up
not secret link
Awesome!!
who are the 11 who disliked? This is wicked cool!
omfg that was epic I hope he turns dark
How did they find all the light saber sound effect , btw nice job
Wow, nice job you guys.
So dope!
Well done.
Is it just me or are the lights from the lightsabers a bit thin?
I Finally got myself a HD camera like this! but my only question is how do you make the 2 black blocks on the top and bottom like a movie?
You can make a template in Photoshop that you would put on top of your edit. You can also download them, just look for letterbox templates.
What method did you use to cut his arm off? Did you use a green screen and separate his arm from the rest? Great job by the way.
really incredible job! how did you create the wound effects? really impressed :)
Thanks! Which would effect are you talking about?
@@MaxJordanVisuals in particular, the arm getting cut off (the beautiful orange burn effects, and also how you moved the arm's location)... any insight would be greatly appreciated! I'm in the midst of making my own fan film :)
@@johndavidbuell The lightsaber burn was several layers of fractal noise with colorization and glows applied. The arm coming of was just some careful roto and cleanplate work. Also getting reference of the arm laying on the ground helped.
@@MaxJordanVisuals I appreciate you sharing!
awesome
Amazing job as always. You are truly an inspiration. Is that the jet pack straps and back plate from save lives apologize i see on that costume? ;)
Maybe........
Never make or buy what you can reuse. Hahaha... ;)
+Max Jordan Why did you change your channel name?
Ducking awsome
where did you get your lightsabersounds from?
What did you guys use for the blades as a guide to add the saber effect? If I'm not mistaken some of you are using saberforge hilts? Did you use the actual blade or did you use something that was a bit lighter and easier to swing around?
One of our hilts is a Sabershop Novus. The other two were handmade by yours truly. We use carbon fiber stunt blades, also by Sabershop. Max's saber is a 3/4" CPVC pipe reinforced with a hardwood dowel. It's wider and longer than the other two. All of the blades are covered in neon orange tape for visibility.
amazing 👌
Good quality and entertaining. Does every fan film take place in the same forest? I'm noticing a lot of trees in these things.
