Shattering logs over the enemy combatant needs to be used more often - that was unexpected and extremely awesome! Impressed once again - hope you all keep entering because your films are great!
I like this fight, it's very philosophical, it's reminiscent of that story between masamune and muramasa about their swords testing if it would cut, i like this fight because it's a battle and struggle between the internal surges and the need to choose between lightside or darkside. Overall a good fight, it really is a winning video for me
i'm willing to bet you guys will get the Best Cinematography Award again. Top notch camera work

It was really disappointing that the main guy wore his suspenders correctly in this one. Backwards suspenders are the pinnacle of fashion ya know. Great video all around. Keep it up!

I really admire the production on display here. Shout out to everyone involved with this short film! From the camerawork to the sound design, location, effects, performances....I know this was many many hours of hard work, blood, sweat and tears. Thank you for sharing it with all of us. The choreography was very good but what really impresses me about this video is the storytelling. You know you are dealing with a great storyteller when you have to go back and watch it again just to catch everything. I hope whoever wrote this pursues a career somewhere in show business. It would be a shame for such talent to go under utilized and under appreciated.

If they do make a Knights of the Old Republic movie series, they better make the duels as epic and intense as this. The Jedi and Sith during the Old Republic were battle hardened from fighting each other for centuries, unlike any of the Sith and Jedi we've seen fight in any of the movies so far

One thing you could work in to a future duel, is the maneuver from Visions, "The Elder," where the Jedi turned off his lightsaber to disengage, then struck the opponent with the end of his lightsaber and activated it. Great finishing move!

Fucking great fight!
While i appreciate the punching, etc., I noticed a severe problem with the style: you batrely ever use the tip of the lightsaber, always engaging at suboptimal ranges for slashes, let alone thrusts. In addition, i feel like the Sith character was, well, not agressive enough, not opportunistic enough; i'm pretty sure that he coudl have used his lightsaber instead of his fist at least once.
How is this the best or winner of 2018! At 3:08 to 3:10, you see his hand raising to grab the saber and you see the othe guy practically let him do it. They didn't spend enough time practicing this choreography, it just slow enough to target the weapon then the person. Also holding each saber and seeing the future doesn't mean you win or lose, that does t make any type of since.

Why siths are always more powefull than jedis?
They aren’t, they are simply more aggressive, while the jedi are more restrained
Very good, all things considered. The subtle storytelling adds an extra dimension to what would otherwise be a fairly standard fan-made lightsaber fight. I really like that you guys are wearing normal clothes that still kinda look like something you might see in Star Wars. That's a nice little touch many wouldn't have bothered with.
My only critiques would be that the saber blades look a bit short and narrow. I think a lot of these videos underestimate just how long those things are in the movies. Also the choreography has that sorta wild, vicious sloppiness I've come to expect from this type of videos - it certainly makes for emotional fights, but I wish more went for the cleaner, precise and disciplined movements I'd expect from a Force user. (Remember, these people basically have the melee equivalent of an aimbot.)
Not big complaints, but they do keep this from getting a full ten out of ten score from me.
you know what all these new starwars suck when you have guys making better fight seens on a soda budget

I’m honestly wondering why this one was the winner. The camera work is so shaky that it hurts my head and the choreography doesn’t look dedicated. But that’s just me I guess.
Someday Star Wars fan films will be more than people fighting in the woods.
Awful fight. Has some moments, but the majority of this is just ridiculous.
Meh, it's a very good cinematography but horrible choreography. Sorry.
