You can throw a dart at a wheel with every song from Heavener and be able to make a case for any song being Invent Animates best work. That album is just a masterclass in songwriting.

It's been my favourite album for ages, as much as I love other bands, Invents latest album has such an amazing vibe and their sound is pure bliss.
Better question is what is their best riff and that’s even more impossible to answer
"The Sun Sleeps, As If It Never Was" is their greatest work, if you count it all together, otherwise it has to be Without A Whisper
That ep is underated af. No song(s) blow my mind at first time like that in my life
Couldn't agree more about the EP. It's insanely underrated, and immersive AF
its insane the amount of vocal improvement marcus has had since joining the band
Marcus was insane even when he first joined. Reflection Room is the perfect example. He has yet to do scream singing that high again. He also said it was the hardest song to do live.

Heavener is the best song they have ever made I think. It makes my entire body have goosebumps.
False meridian and Elysium are probably my favorite, both feel like complete stories
I still love False Meridian, it has everything... filthy guitars, filthy breakdown, awesome singing, insane chorus and the outro breakdown is just guitar masterpiece.

Hard to say, but for me a song I come back to often that still blows me away and gets stuck in my head is Soul Sleep (though Midnight Hymn rips too from that album).
That calm intro clean riff combined with the heavy breakdown at the end makes for one of the most heavy yet beautiful/relaxing songs I've ever heard. Those lyrics don't hurt either: "The outcast in me
Can see right through the desperation in you
I have just one word of advice

best Invent Animate track? it's a hard pick, but I'm gonna say Elysium. that song dropped at the perfect time for me, and I really connected with the meaning behind it. it's flawless.
I'm super happy with the definitive edition tracks, man. all of them have distinct vibes and they do it perfectly, and the reimagined version of Without A Whisper is gorgeous. they just keep proving why they're the best.
Heavener, I swear that song stops time, it just makes me feel obligated to just sit there with my eyes closed and listen

It's so hard to choose a song by these guys because each song hits in a different way, which is why I love them so much!
very hard to pick best song from IA when i only heard heavener so far from them but i really enjoyed it and now this might be song of the year for me as its the style of music i like the most from metal in general

My fav is probably Immolation but as a perfect capture of everything that Invent is i would say something along the lines of False Meridian, Sun Sleeps, one of the ones with a little bit of everything

I literally could not pick a favorite Invent Animate song. I can’t think of a single song they’ve put out that I don’t like.
I'm still wishing I knew who they were when I saw them last may with Currents. If it wasn't for that show it may have taken a while longer to find them, but I could have appreciated them so much more if I had known beforehand 😂
Native Intellect, Halcyon and False Meridian are my most listened to.

Hollow Light and Eden are grossly underrated!!

but my favorite song at the moment is probably false meridian, i think it a perfect song to show someone who hasnt listened to this style of music before. perfectly encapsulates all of IA in one song.

Not sure if I'd give that IA song a 10, but it's still really great!
For me I'd say their best song might be "As If It Never Was". Really love the dynamics between these more slow-paced sections with these enormous walls of sound, mixed with the faster-paced and more technical riffs. I kinda wish they did more stuff like that honestly (the song "Heavener" is similar in that regard though).

My favourite Song of IA gotta be the Heavener Album as a whole. The definitive edition now only made this believe stronger and it will always be my album of comfort and safe space. Every track on it is just amazing and they're really kicking it with these generally calmer additions on the re-release. It took them that one album really to not just be a band i like but a band i simp.
5:40 if by a "chiller" track, they meant "chills all over my gddamn body" track, then yeah, they're totally right.
Probably False Meridian for me but there is so many great picks.

It used to be Purity Weeps but I think Heavener took that out, and then this took Heavener out. Some amazing music, still working on getting my fiance into them though lol.
This is definitely one of their best songs. As for the overall best song from them, I’m really torn between Secret Sun, Midnight Hymn, Heavener, Dead Roots, and False Meridian. It’s impossible to pick just one. They seriously don’t have a single song (except Native Intellect and interludes) that I’d give lower than an 8/10.
