Obie Trice, Ca$his, Bobby Creekwater, Stat Quo, G-Unit, and D12 are no longer on Shady Records. Hence the "2.0" Em coined when he signed Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf. Look at the period following 2005's mixtape album 'The Re-Up' that was supposed to introduce all those newer artists to the label when Em's streak came to a halt. Between 2005-2008, Shady lost all those artists. Obie had some drama being shot and some beef with Dre or Interscope over his sophomore album so he left. He's still on good terms with Em. Ca$his had an EP released that was poorly promoted and he made some wild statements so I think he was disgruntled and fired. Stat Quo was supposed to drop STATLanta or its follow-up or something and that got no headway and neither did Bobby Creek's project so they both left the label. Proof was killed in 2006 so Em hit a slump and his plans of producing all them hit a roadblock when Em just gave up. 50 Cent left the label over Interscope treating him like garbage and his songs kept getting leaked when he was originally working on his original fifth album Street King Immortal. He got mad and said he would leak a Dr. Dre Detox song in retaliation and had to apologize to Dre and Jimmy Iovine but the experience left him soured to do any more with Interscope controlling what was left of his career. So he strategically got out of Interscope/Aftermath/Shady and went to Caroline/Capitol where he reformed G-Unit and took G-Unit Records with him. D12 broke up after Proof was killed. Bizarre and Kon Artis left. Kon Artis became Mr. Porter Shady's full-time in house producer and he has even said the Kon Artis persona is dead. Swift and Kuniva brought in Fuzz Scoota back to the group and Bizarre possibly came back but Em is no longer a part of that. That group was always Proof's and Em's baby. So when Em came back with Dre in 2009, he had no more Shady artists left. He reached out to Royce his original hype-man and partner from 1997 and signed his supergroup and at the same time reformed his original duo with him Bad Meets Evil that should have came out 10 years ago as a priority over D12. It was only when Royce left Aftermath that Em re-connected with Proof to bring D12 to the forefront. But that's all gone now. Slaughterhouse didn't perform well and their second Shady album is in limbo and may never come out. Yelawolf is struggling after his Shady debut and his sophomore faired better. Bad Meets Evil full-length is always a possibility but not a priority. So that's why you have the new signees Em is putting on the label now: Westside Gunn & Conway, and now Boogie. Trying to still recapture the magic that even Shady 2.0 boys couldn't do.
