- Hello everyone,
After a lot of requests for the Jet streams video, here you go 😅
In this video, I have talked about the formation and the various types of jet streams that are observed around us.
I have also discussed Clear air turbulence.
Watch the whole video for complete knowledge about the Subtropical and the Tropical jet streams observed in India.
Do watch the Indian Climatology videos and read about the Ferrel and the Hadley cells in the 'General Circulation' chapter for better understanding of these Jet streams.
Let me know if you have any doubts or queries.
ps. the location of Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai marked by me on the map are approx, don't @ me for the same. 😛
Thanks for watching.

CORRECTION : the CAT is facing the cold air Because ,the ISOTACHS are closest together on colder side & marks the greatest 'change in speed '.therefore , the potential location of Clear Air Turbulence ..... |& this is where the temp. gradient and pressure gradient is the greatest ....
There are multiple reasons but this one which i have talked about is the easiest to understand, so I’ve taken that!
No one is gonna ask you the reason for this in the exam.
