All my respect to you for explaining something so well. Excellent video, great tutorial. I really like how you explain the why behind the phenomena rather than simply stating what happens. All credit given. Thanks a Million!
Great explanation. Heading through met phase right now and this was explained much better than our learning package. Thank you!
Wow, the best demo and explanation of this subject I've come across - finally!!!! Thank you very much and subscribed.
I have been struggling with understanding of frontal system for a long time. Your video has really helped a lot. Thanks a ton. Keep making such videos.
AMAZING! Thank you so much, I'm in Europe prepping for EASA also and this helps A LOT. 👍
Very well thought presentation, I am in the FAA system so this explanation is perfect and maybe knowing it’s a fellow Indian makes it easier to understand
This video cleared the confusion between before, at and behind stages. 😅 🙏
God bless you buddy! After watching this video I am wondering why I even wasted time watching anything else before this!! And I have subscribed.
Amazing explanation! Thank you!

Thank you so much buddy. Now i dont have any doubts in Fronts 👍
Thats amazing brother! Glad i could help!
I was wondering how to remember this and you cleared it and just when I had doubts about the winds (before, at and after front) you cleared it at right time! Thanks brother awesome!
Wow! Brother I feel really happy that these videos are helping people! Always welcome!

thanks for perfect explanation 👍👍
Your videos are just amazing!
Wow, thank you!
Really good explanation! Greats from Germany
Keep it up :D
Simply Clear...!!
Thank you from France !
Should make a video about the polar front, cold front theory - producing an occluded front.
Hello there. Please make video on types of clouds & on general navigation that would be much appreciated .😊
Sure!
It is there in ic joshi that cold occlution are common in summer and warm occlution are common in winters but as per your video it is vise versa!!
Around the 7:26 mark when you are talking about the warm front, why is pressure low in front and high behind. Shouldn't the pressure be higher in fron since it is colder air, and lower behind since it is warm?
Hi, can you help me out in understanding the before,at and after (fronts) difference, like, behind(after) means after the passage has been passed right ? , and also, before(ahead) means before the passage is going to pass, right ?
Mst ek dum mst bhau 🤩🙏
🚀🚀Superb explanation!!💯

Thank you very much..
hello sir, your videos are helping me a lot. i request can u please continue making them? and can u please make videos on chapter 21 and so on from ic joshi? ❤❤❤👌👍

Thanks very much
Well explained Man
Thanks brother
Best place for met and exam
You are amazing ✨
you too 🥰
Thanks!
thank you so much
😊
Sir, IC joshi has a contradiction. In a warm front there it is mentioned that the winds will VEER and strengthen ahead of a warm front. Which one's to be marked in the exam?
Also I love your content. It's a boon to have you teaching. Thanks and love ♥️
I've heard that if the answer is given wrong in IC joshi we have to mark it as it is or dgca will cut our marks
Thanks bro had the same confusion…
Pulkit, that's true the IC josh has many mistakes.
Please give classes on tropical systems, peninsular discontinuities
Bro, amazing video, but are cold occlusions not more common in summers?
Idk Wht is it but I love ur videos😁😍😘😅
hahaha thank you!
Hello sir.. I hope you are doing well, What is that Behind( after), Ahead( before) means in the table
Your videos are really informative and good …..I have a small doubt ( How does pressure falls ahead of a warm front ) if you are saying it falls then does it fall at the surface or aloft …..becoz we still have cold air near the surface the pressure should rise at the surface and warm air aloft pressure should drop at a higher altitude
Hi, thanks.
The pressure ahead of a warm front starts falling at the ground as the warm air is rising and as it rises, it takes the air molecules up with it, reducing the pressure on ground!
Congratulations!
Ahead of a warm front the surface wind is veers& strengthens(IC JOSHI). But in the given table(8:23)it says back and strengthens. could you please clear my doubt?
Are you from Hyderabad
Hi. I was thinking also at the same thing. But I’m barely sure that is more correct say that wind back when it moves anti-clockwise and veers when it moves clockwise. When we consider the surface wind can say that wind veers when it become more strong. In my atpl books the definition is that wind backs when it moves anti-clockwise and as we can see ahead of warm front there is low pressure thus we know that the low pressure called also cyclones move anti-clockwise. Hope it is clear. Remember that we re talking about large masses of air when we re talking about warm fronts and cold fronts. Instead, when we talk about wind backing when it becomes weaker we re talking for surface winds thus smaller masses of air!
Does this whole series of met covers the met syllabus ?
Why is there supposed to be minimum pressure at cold front ? I don't understand,it's cold which means HIGH PRESSURE but how does the CB clouds influence the pressure to minimum?
very informative
Thanks Bhumika!
Please share video on Stability...DSLR/SLR
Sir a request if you can add a weather chart video and how to read it…that. Will be very helpful and same if possible in a navigation playlist a sectional chart ( how to read it )
very goof thank you for ur complete teaching. would you let me translate it to my language that my friends can use it?
Hi, thanks a lot.
Yeah sure, go for it!
Sir I have one doubt..... As you said ahead of warm front, winds will be back and strength but in ic Joshi ch-14 option 18 , it said veer and strength. So please let me know the correct answer
Hi, some answers in IC Joshi are incorrect. I have referred a lot of books and websites (Oxford, IC Joshi, Wikipedia, Skybrary) for compiling the tables, all are similar, but the wordings may vary. You can refer to the tables in this video for the exam. No stress!
🥰🥰
As warm air is lighter and rises, it should have low pressure, why high? Please explain I have exam
Hey bro, did you apply at flybig??
Hi, yes I did but they never reply back!🥲
What should be answer of following-
Ahead of a warm front the surface wind
A) Backs & weakens
B) Veers and Strengthen
C) Backs and Strengthen
As per me and after watching this video answer should be C but IC Joshi books marked it as B .
Also, the table given in Appendix C of IC Joshi book describing fronts are different than provided in this video
Hey, some answers in IC Joshi are wrong, the correct answer to this will be 'c'.
I have referred to a lot of books and websites (Oxford, IC Joshi, Wikipedia, Skybrary) for compiling the tables, all are similar, but the wordings may vary. You can refer to the tables in this video for the exam. No stress!
Thanks a billion 😊
thanks a lot!! please (music in not necessary 😉🤗
Please confirm this is for which Hemisphere
Northern Hemisphere!
Thanks a lot 👍🏽
Make a video on clouds na
Hey,
I feel the explanation and wind direction for warm and cold fronts is incorrect. Please find the correct direction with logic below. The same is there in IC Joshi as well. Kindly check and confirm.
1. Ahead of a warm front , the typical behavior of surface winds is to veer and strengthen.
When a warm front approaches, the warm air mass rises over the cooler air mass, creating a sloping boundary. As a result, the surface winds tend to veer, which means they shift clockwise (in the Northern Hemisphere) from their initial direction. For example, if the initial winds were coming from the south, they would veer and turn towards the southwest or west.
Additionally, the warm air rising over the cooler air can create a pressure gradient that strengthens the surface winds. This is due to the increased vertical mixing and the development of a stronger pressure gradient force along the warm front.
So, the correct answer would be: Veers and strengthens
2. Behind a warm front , the behavior of surface winds typically involves backing and weakening.
As a warm front passes over an area, the warm air mass displaces the cooler air mass, causing the surface winds to shift direction. Behind the warm front, the surface winds tend to back, which means they shift counterclockwise (in the Northern Hemisphere) from their initial direction. For example, if the initial winds were coming from the southwest, they would back and turn towards the south or southeast.
The weakening of surface winds behind a warm front is a result of the overall stabilization of the atmosphere. As the warm air mass advances and rises over the cooler air, it creates a more stable environment. This stability reduces the vertical mixing and subsequently weakens the surface winds.
Therefore, the correct answer for the behavior of surface winds behind a warm front would be: Backs and weakens
3. Ahead of a cold front , the surface winds typically veer and strengthen.
As a cold front approaches, a mass of colder air displaces the warmer air ahead of it. The boundary between the two air masses creates a steep slope. Ahead of the cold front, the surface winds tend to veer, which means they shift clockwise (in the Northern Hemisphere) from their initial direction. For instance, if the initial winds were coming from the south, they would veer and turn towards the southwest or west.
Additionally, the cold air advancing and pushing against the warm air can enhance the pressure gradient, resulting in stronger surface winds. The increased pressure gradient force and the vertical mixing associated with the approaching cold front contribute to the strengthening of the surface winds.
Therefore, the answer for the behavior of surface winds ahead of a cold front is: Veers and strengthens
4. Behind a cold front , the surface winds typically back and weaken.
As the cold front passes over an area, the colder air mass displaces the warmer air, causing the surface winds to shift direction. Behind the cold front, the surface winds tend to back, which means they shift counterclockwise (in the Northern Hemisphere) from their initial direction. For example, if the initial winds were coming from the southwest, they would back and turn towards the south or southeast.
The cooling of the atmosphere behind the cold front promotes stability, reducing the vertical mixing and leading to a weakening of the surface winds.
Therefore, the answer for the behavior of surface winds behind a cold front is: Backs and weakens
