George was good at relating what he observed and formed opinions on. I'm happy for Glenn that he's an optimist, but not all of us think and process reality that way, as human beings, other living beings, the essential, material environment, reason, and apparently, many other traits that have characterized human beings for millenia, are threatened by the accelerating stupidity and corresponding avarice of a relative few of us for the sake of their egos, their indulgences in a contrived economic system, and lack of compassion and empathy. Government, by and large, works for those few, and not for the many.

Yes, George Carlin was great comedian and he's comedy was right on the money. We all laughed and enjoyed but how many of have really acted upon his comments? For example, voting. How many gave up on voting? How many of us really blame ourselves for electing politicians that time and again don't do what they promised?
