Yes, George Carlin was great comedian and he's comedy was right on the money. We all laughed and enjoyed but how many of have really acted upon his comments? For example, voting. How many gave up on voting? How many of us really blame ourselves for electing politicians that time and again don't do what they promised? Yes, let's stop whining and find more time to educate ourselves and vote intelligently. If politicians let us down don't elect them again.

A lot of people think that they are A+ all the time. Since we are all imperfect and flawed this is impossible. And these same people think and believe, that they are superior to all the rest of us.

America was never about freedom and democracy, it was only and always about the accumulation of wealth, everything of value and all political power by rich white men only. You can’t lose what you never had. Change will come regardless. For the past 40-50 years the republican party has caused the worst economic and foreign policy disasters in our history and the morons keep voting for them.

I disagree with you. More than just government is at risk. Why would you bring children into the world? A person of your age and wisdom should be able to see the consequences of the past, present, and future of what people do and none of it is positive. People are the cause of all of our problems, and human nature is inherently destructive. Humans are what they are, so it is what it is. Why add more to the messes to the mess? You forgot to add climate change diminishing resources, polluted oceans, toxic fish and food. A new one, too many people with a cell phone like me. Now the wireless companies are having difficulty keeping us online. That includes computers, any wireless technology. I keep getting kicked off the phone, or the internet goes down. This is due to more people. However, I liked your perspective and respect it.😊

Thank you, Glenn! I wish that the "new normal" phrase would dissappear. I heard it when I was going through my cancer from my doctors. It used toget on my nerves. But now I realize God has a purpose for me in my being a 3 year survivor going on 2/23/2024. It taught me to have more patience with others and myself. So, new me not new normal. Thank you very much.
