I share bits of my personal life with everyone when it's appropriate and examine what they do. If they show signs of toxicity I immediately cut them off. And the few people who respond well I keep getting personal with them. That's how I discover real friends.

There is a saying in law... "if you want a friend in law get a dog." Basically it is a warning that only a tiny handful of people will genuinely care about you, so don't expect it and get your heart broken or worse.

After about 15 to 20 years of hard work, I did get there (success). I really achieved very substantial things in my career, what surprised me was that I encountered a form of hostility that I hadn't expected. Some call it "reverse snobbism" or just envy or jealousy.
It was a shock. I am accustomed to that now and I have learned to keep most of my work accomplishments "under wraps" as it were. I don't disclose my professional standing, my bank account, or my income to the general public. You have to know me for quite a while before you learn these facts.
Listen to this on repeat. Even while you sleep. Then you will find that you have been living these teachings all due to your subconscious.

Was never one to talk about my life to coworkers, acquaintances. But then I read a book about how being aloof can be a way to control and manipulate for energy, and I actually felt bad and started trying to be revealing like everyone else. Big mistake. Go with your instincts.
I worked with a lady who didn't discuss anything about her private life. Intrigued by this her fellow employees made it a game to extract some type of information from her. Finally everyone quit trying to find out her story. She ended up being the most well respected co worker.

Still I have also noticed, that, sometimes, this does Not work both ways and people who tell me that they are my friends, are not , I can see they Do Not Help me, or talk to others bad about me and my Happiness makes them Unhappy. I suppose the trick is in finding out as quick as possible in which of these two categories do the people you know fall😉 and I also have a quote which helped me to feel better. I think of my eldest daughter every day,we're estranged from each other, i keep thinking of her while i walk to work,i'm tormented by the lack of knowing if i will ever meet her again and what would i say. I know for my mental health i must let thoughts of her go but the thoughts always resurface.
It always takes effort on our part to be nice to people who have hurt us or insulted us or humiliated us , but after making a genuine effort to be nice to them again ,we feel much better than if we let things get worse by getting angry & moody ... is what I have learned in Life !

I love my daughter, we are estranged. She sends me toxic emails, 2 or 3 daily, often more, I never respond bc that would add fuel to the fire. I have tried in the past, but I have any interaction with her, it's terrible situation and I feel she is dangerous, so I stay away, this what I have learned is the best thing to do, certainly for me and I think it must be for her
Let her know your door will always be open and in the meantime focus on yourself to became the best person and the happiest you can be. Make this your goal and let her be.

Her device was to do little things with greatness. She truly loved Jesus. Learning about her has helped me immensely. Praying in general is the most powerful thing that can help us in all our struggles. God is omnipotent. Never doubt. To listen to quotes like this will never truly deepen our faith in Our Lord, He whom is always trying to reach out to us to help us. I’ve never in my life been helped like I’ve been helped from God. Thanks to Him I got a job, I got up on my feet after a severe fall, I could forgive and find so much peace. I can’t really believe the quote about how some of the best times of my life haven’t happened yet because I’m over 50……How could anything get better at this age? I found that the 20s and the 40s were the best decades and ever since I turned 50 everything has been in the toilet so far but ❤I keep hoping.
