- Pro-Palestinian protesters at Columbia University have rejected an ultimatum issued by the university's president, Minouche Shafik, to disband their pro-Palestine encampment by 2pm ET.

Sueda Polat, a student organiser, told reporters that the university's negotiating position 'evidenced an elementary understanding of the words boycott and divest' and they would not 'be moved unless by force'.
Columbia University has been at the heart of a student protest movement calling on their institutions to cut ties with Israel and join calls for a ceasefire.
