- Over 100 people have been arrested at UCLA pro-Palestinian encampment as protesters resist officers, CHP says.
Multiple students and faculty members were among those being detained as law enforcement officers raid a pro-Palestinian encampment on UCLA campus.

It's literally dependent on us holding the Israeli gov't accountable and conditioning aid on a cease fire AND allowing for a free Palestine. So no we'll stay here and get our leaders to do what, statistically, most of us want them to do. Especially when Israel has turned down multiple attempts to trade all of the hostages for a permanent ceasefire because the "permanent part" doesn't let them continue their soon to be ICC sanctioned actions.

The professor interviewed is Pollyanna . The protests are not legal. He doesn’t care about the interruption to students not involved who are peeping and taking exams. He doesn’t show concern about the terrorist infiltration of creating this. An example of faculty who needs to be removed.

The Palestinians only other choice in that election was the Israeli controlled Palestinian Authority. It was not a free and fair election. It was a farce to try to force Western control of Palestine if it ever did become sovereign. It was never a justification to institute apartheid policies and it definitely doesn't excuse the hundreds of thousands of Palestinian deaths that have happened since.
While there is no excuse for terrorism, it is our own failed policies that created this situation. The main problem is not destroying Hamas. The main problem is needing to force Israel to fully withdraw from Gaza and the West Bank, including settlers, and to allow for real free and fair elections and for a state to be formed. Until that happens the injustices of the past will not be forgotten and we will keep up these protests until our leaders listen to what, statistically, most of us want. Especially when Israel is the one that has turned down multiple attempts to trade all hostages for a permanent cease fire because Bibi needs Hamas as an excuse to persecute Gaza. He is on the record saying how Hamas helps further their objectives.

It’s not a peaceful demonstration when you keep other students from freely having access to facilities that they have paid tuition to use.
This guy has no idea about close quarter combat, Urban warfare is the worst combat to do. And the whole point of this clearing of this encampment is that they have been told to remove themselves. They have been warned to disburse, this is private property and if there are policies and rules you have to obey. So if you’re not obeying the requests that the campus has told you to stop, they have every right to remove you peacefully or by force. If you resist then you are making this a bad situation for yourself and others.

Education is not about protest on campus, even peaceful. Students' parents pay tuition for them to go to classes! Professors in this strim are not mentally stable.
Usc was able to close the campus early. That saved them from having that many people in the campus.

When it gets to a point where classes are disrupted and my daughter is now scared, that is not peaceful. This professor is one of the problems. I sent my kid there to learn not get influenced by professors with their own agenda.
Parents should be cancelling payments and funding for their children’s education at these universities. They aren’t paying for them to protest and vandalize and get a criminal record. They are paying for them to go to classes and get a degree. 😮

As a parent that pays lots of money in tuition for my kid’s education, I don’t think it’s right to block students that are there to learn and have a future to be impacted by the ones that want to save Palestine?
