この時のツアーは倉敷で観ましたが、無知な私は全く知らなかったドラマーのサイモン・フィリップスに度肝を抜かれた記憶があります。この録音を聴いて記憶が蘇って参りました。

Simon is phenomenal on double bass drums but simon has been my favorite since I heard 801 in the late seventies

As much as I love Jeffs playing,I would never be his guitar tech. He is hell on his guitars.
Like Ritchie Blackmore. Not as rough on them as Jimi or Yngwie..
@@michaelcraig9449 the sea foam green signature Strat got split down the middle (showing off) . His tech summed up it like this- Fender builds 9 guitars & he hates 8 of them. They keep trying to replicate the Oxblood neck & the guide pole keeps popping out & that really pisses JB off.

A good performance marred by the geeks who couldn't stop clapping to the beat and those next to a microphone who couldn't stop talking. Why they thought their sounds should supplant those of this fine ensemble is beyond me - just shut up, stand still and LISTEN!

I love "There and Back",and prolly about a year after THIS is when they recorded it with this lineup,without the lead bass?,I think Stanleys great,but There and Back would'nt have worked with him,still love this as I never heard this till now,like so much we missed out on being in Adelaide,let alone Australia.

If Jimi Hendrix didn't die early he would have been a jazz rock fusion guitar player like Jeff Beck. He would have been more than a blues rocks player.

@minjoem you're right, all of them are beasts, Hymas is a true musician, not only a technician, but an explorator like Beck. No need to explain why Clark is a monster bass player...hear that amazing break before Phillips solo! I just notice(with regret), you didn't post any pictures of Tony Hymas during his solopart...shame on you! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
