- Who doesn't like bubbles? The Negroni "Sbagliato" and the Americano are lighter and more refreshing cocktail alternatives to the classic Negroni. And they come with a twist...prosecco or soda water, respectively. These Italian aperitifs are joyful, easy to make, and absolutely perfect for a sunny day spent with friends and family. Our 'home mixologist' Alan shows you how to make a Negroni Sbagliato and an Americano cocktail in a few easy steps. Enjoy!

Fan fact: "sbagliato" in Italian means "wrong" or "mistaken", and that's because in a Negroni Sbagliato you simply swap the gin for the prosecco. But trust us...there's nothing wrong with this deliciously bubbly drink!

It’s so sweet 😋 I wish I can have Italian 🍷🥂
Grazie Alan - I switched over to making my own Negroni as a pre-dinner drink at home from your previous video, very enjoyable. Now I will try your Americano as well! I recall when I was in Italy back in 2019, I asked for an Americano at a cafe (which also sold alcoholic drinks) wanting what we call in Australia, a 'long back' coffee. The man serving looked at me in a very perplexed way
I recall Marco mentioned in his coffee video that in Italy, Americano can be both a coffee or an alcoholic drink - looking forward to mixing one tonight before dinner. Che la fortuna degli irlandesi sia con te e Marco per sempre!
🍀🍀🍀 Grazie mille Dennis! And so glad to hear you tried Alan's cocktails. He's such a great home mixologist and I am very lucky indeed. Let us know how the Americano (cocktail 😆) turned out and if you like it! Cheers!! ~Marco
@@inevitaly Yes I know have an "Americano' or 2 as a pre-dinner drink - very nice. Myson & daughter are in Rome at the moment with the heat at 37 degrees C - they sent a photo of them enjoying a Bellini in Harry's Bar - Rome - a great way to cool off!
Thank you Dennis! We've started to do the same as well, it's a much more refreshing drink to start with. And thank you for the lovely final message, my Italian is getting just good enough to understand ;) Cheers!
Always great to see you Alan, i think i may make one of those tonight. Regards to Marco also. cheers guys
Let us know how your sbagliato or americano turned out 😋 Enjoy, salute!
Thank you so much for saying so, it's always great to share with you as well!
